(
The camera displays the entrance to an American Sports Bar in Paris. It then displays people cheering and booing as on the entire flat screen TV, the NBA Playoffs are currently being shown. At a table towards the middle of the bar are two men who are each drinking beer. One is Nick Angel who is wearing a #41 Dirk Nowitzki Jersey over a black T-Shirt. The other man is Venom who is wearing a #18 Peyton Manning Jersey over a White Tank Top. Venom lets out a sigh of disappointment as he begins to speak.)
Venom: Man, this sucks, ya know? EAW's on this damn world tour and we're stuck in a bar in Paris watching the NBA Playoffs. We should be there in person having the time of our lives.
Nick: Well, at least my boy Dirk is in the playoffs. Even though we are indeed on this world tour, it’s very refreshing to see all the support for my Dallas Mavericks. The one thing the French and German can agree on is they love Dirk Nowitzki.
Venom: You act like you own the damn team. That would be horrible. It would be terrible. It would be a disaster if you owned a NBA Team. I've seen you shoot a basketball. It was like watching a toddler trying to do math. You had no idea what ya were doing. Just promise me when the Mavericks lose, you aren't gonna pull an Alex Anderson and go all bitchy on me.
Nick: Haha. Man at least my favorite team is in the playoffs. For your information, if I didn’t pursue a wrestling career, I would certainly choose the route of taking my talents to play basketball. Why pull an Alex Anderson “if” my Mavs loses when the Mavericks are going to make another prima donna in Dwight Howard go all bitchy? I mean you’re a Lakers fan, you would know a thing or two about Dwight and his tendency to be a bitch.
Venom: That brings up another good question.
(Venom finishes his beer as he then reaches over the table and takes Nick's beer and begins to drink it. Nick begins to object but stops himself.)
Venom: Are the playoffs even the playoffs without the Lakers? No, they aren't. But anyways, while we enjoy the game, let’s see what Aladdin had to say.
(Nick looks confused. Venom then notices it and looks confused himself.)
Venom: Let me explain. The Lakers always seem to in the playoffs and now they aren't this year-
Nick: Not that! Who in the world is Aladdin, and I don't mean from the movie.
Venom: Oh, it's Alex, of course. It should be obvious.
Nick: Right....
Venom: Anyways, I know you have the urge to talk a lot, so I may as well give you the stage.
(Venom takes a spoon from the table and bangs it against the beer he took from Nick. He then stands up in the chair he is sitting in as everybody in the bar begins to look at him.)
Venom: May I have your attention please. Nick Angel, the man next to me, would like to speak about Aladdin.
(Nick mutters angrily to Venom for him to sit down. Venom looks surprised but he finally returns to his seat. The people in the bar then return to what they were doing.)
Venom: You must be really shy... but have it your way.
(Venom shrugs as he finishes off Nicks beer before going to the bar area to order another one. Nick then begins to speak.)
Nick: Me being shy? On the topic of “Aladdin”? I’m hardly shy Venom. In fact, Alex Anderson got some very provocative words coming off of a very cocky manner. You see, while the media of EAW would like to think Alex Anderson has shed a new leaf, addressing this upcoming match as it would be a tune-up match is quite the daring. It leads me to believe that Alex Anderson in terms of attitude has not changed one bit. Sure you could point out as an elitist; he may evolve but not significantly as the media would like to point out. Alex would like to think he’s a demi-god like Kanye West and would like to believe I’m not in the same stratosphere but what have you exactly accomplished Alex that sets you far apart from me? I do not see Alex Anderson holding a significant title by any stretch of imagination alongside understanding why Alex Anderson thinks he is in the same level of tier of Peyton Manning. I’m sorry Alex, in order to be the Peyton Manning edition of EAW, you have to be humble, and you have to be classy alongside being the student of the game. From my perspective, you’re not humble enough to compare yourself to being the Peyton Manning of EAW as if humble people compare themselves to other people. You have a reputation of being one of the crudest elitist, contrary to sharing a trait of being classy. And while you are talented in your own right, you are hardly a student of the game. Last but not least? You hardly have the accomplishments and statistics as a Peyton Manning. In my eyes Alex Anderson, you’re just a Jay Cutler. You see Alex, every offseason until now I get to hear how much of a rebound Cutler will get! Every offseason, I get to hear how much Cutler will have at least moderate success and bring the Bears to prominence only for Cutler to be underwhelming. As with you Alex, every time I see the hype increases when it comes to you, you always bring a very underwhelming result. As with Cutler, you’re a very talented lad but it seems like what’s preventing you from being highly successful is the mental part of the game. You know you’re talented but at the same time? You’re cocky. You boast about how talented you are and shove it down everyone’s throat, making everyone feel obligated to actually have an extra motivation to have a taste of your own medicine. So before comparing yourself to others that are highly revered, maybe you need to learn who you are and know that as of right now? You may be popular within the common man, but when it comes to elitist like me? You are hardly revered.
So am I but at least I don’t think as myself as a demi-god. I do not think that I’m comparable to a renowned celebrity. You know what I’m more comparable to? The Nick Angel that was here yesterday. That is the person I do compare myself every time. I do not compare myself if I’m an all-time great like Peyton Manning or a controversial figure like Alex Rodriguez. No. I compare to how I could improve as an elitist in comparison to the elitist I was yesterday. What drives me every day to strive as an elitist is not the spotlight. That is not to say I like being in the spotlight, but I will not hesitate to prosper if an opportunity calls upon. It is not the paycheck as you can get more money but the same could be not be said for time. I do not know if my time as an elitist will end as the next edition of Showdown, a house show or a FPV. I do not know if I have any time left to not just repair what was wrongfully tarnished but to also build my legacy in a more positive sense. What strives me is that I have the time as an elitist to walk down that ramp knowing that I’m blessed to have the opportunity to even fight for repairing a legacy.
(Nick finishes talking as Venom shows a sign of relief.)
Venom: I thought you would never finish talking. Now at last I get my turn.
(Venom takes a deep breath as he sits down his beer on the table. Several people in the bar begin to cheer as the game is still going on. Venom then begins to speak.)
Venom: Alex, allow me to do you a favor. Since you're too incompetent to properly interpret English that's been influenced by alcohol, I'll speak in a more civilized way since you caught me at a good time as I have yet to really get drunk. There's always going to be those individuals who never fail to criticize though who are at a lower level in rank to them. But in this scenario, you have a superior rank for one reason only, that being the extended absence of ours from EAW. If you're truly at the level you continually claim to be at, I would have expected somebody at that level to have been world champion long ago. But here you are, in a slightly better position than you were in when Nick and I left EAW. Of course, you did have that victory over me a few weeks ago. I accepted defeat and that's something that makes me superior to you. Before, I was similar to you; I could never truly accept defeat. If I lost, I did often make excuses. But that's how I'm different than before. Unlike you, I utilize the experience I gained in my losses to refine my abilities. Is it evident to you yet? You claim to be better than us, but in truth, you're no different than you were when you entered this company 4 years ago. You may have displayed some signs of maturity and improvement, but you still fail to reach the level you believe you're at. You went on one of your classic ego trips and claimed to be the "ACE Champion" of EAW, some false title you conjured up from your constant state of irrelevance to give people a reason to pay some notice to you. Of course, Norman Hellion put an end to all of that already. But this constant notion of yours that Nick and I aren't in your league has continued to annoy me. You are an individual who has single handedly made the task of winning a world title seems like an impossible journey. At every corner you have created hardships for yourself and at every corner you have managed to think up some ridiculous excuse that you believed was a credible reason for you to go on one of your classic bitching fits. Less than two years ago you and I faced in the main event of NEO before No Regards that year. That night, the New Breed Champion fell to the 4 month experienced rookie and Young Lions Cup Holder. Just a year ago in the 2014 King of Extreme tournament, you lost to Nick Angel.
So allow me to create a notion of my own. Many people display signs of greatness but a majority of the time they turn out to be a flash in the pan. I believe that you are a rare case who has displayed the signs that indicate you can reach greatness several times, and that you are more than just a flash in a pan, you are a dimming light who at moments brightens. And Alex, you have brightened for the last time and soon I feel you will finally darken completely. Hell, you can't even properly observe things that occur right around you. Nick and I's attempts at aiding Ventura at Reckless Wiring were far from desperate. Luck finds its way to the most undeserving and on that night, luck just wasn't on our side. If you believe something like that was desperate, I'm going to enjoy showing you what Nick and I are truly capable of. Also, I can't disregard the fact that we have been embarrassed by you, but it certainly seems that you can. We are the men who nearly blew out the candle that emits the flickering light that is Alex Anderson. We left you in crutches, unable to walk without assistance. Nick and I have proven we can beat you and I know that your brain doesn't retain important moments in your past that you don't care for, but we shall soon jog your memory.
Your comparisons to you and some of the most polarizing figures in sports are actually some of the most disrespectful acts I have witnessed. As of right now I am glad I am none of those individuals, as the shame of Alex Anderson comparing himself to me is a shame I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemies.
(Venom stops speaking as Nick lets out a cheer as the ball games are still going on. Both men take a drink from their beers as they now seem to be more relaxed.)
Nick: Enough talking. Let's just make Alex want to return to wherever it is he came from.
Venom: This world tour has allowed enough people to witness him; we would be doing the world a favor if we put a stop to his place on the tour.
(Venom and Nick both laugh as they continue to watch the game.)
(The camera fades to black.)
