In a land full of liars, the promise maker finds his sanctum.

It's so easy to make promises in the Land of Elite, even though most of these promises are doomed to be broken.You make vows that you'll bring home victories the likes of which the world has never seen. You assure your supporters, your loved ones, your own selves that you'll accomplish greater than anything you ever have before. More often than not these promises are broken. More often than not, a brave, intrepid soul puts his very reputation on the line like Nick Angel did all week long. All week long he exalted and anointed himself, labeling himself the "God Slayer". And what did he achieve? What did he accomplish? What happened when he had to put his money where his mouth is and stand in the ring across God??? He did what God Slayers do best, and that's CRUMBLE. CRUMBLE, UNDER MY MIGHT. That's what happens. That's just how it goes. He made a promise to expose me. He made it seem like he would seize my kingdom, repossess my castle and sit in my throne, and he came up with nothing. He broke his promise, and only because of the land he's in will he avoid being outed for the liar that he is, but make no mistake about it, a failure and a liar in the Land of Elite is synonymous. And I've made liars out of many men, because I've made failures out of just as many man. That's just how it goes. That's how things have gone for the longest time, but especially since I became the Answers World Champion. What my reign has become is a tangible truth surrounded by transient lies. 

Promises made by promise makers, all swirling around the truth that I live like clouds that surround mountains. That's because so many of you boldly declare what you don't know. You believe in your own bullshit, you have yourselves fooled, you've fallen for your own ruse. I don't exist in that plane. I'm not in that wavelength. I Know, therefore I Am... everything else is just malleable. Everything else is just jargon. It's the same conspiracy theory that's been debunked time, and time, and time again, and yet this same idea seems to resurface after every turn. The idea that I'll be dethroned. The idea that someday, someone's going to rise from the woodwork and throw me for the biggest loop that I've ever seen. Every year, "God Slayers" arise promising to "edge me out" and considering I'm still where I am today, you can see just how successful they were. It seems like every second a new face arises promising my head on their mantle, and it never happens. After a while it gets exhausting. It's easy to become jaded when you've spent so much time at the top with all of these bottom dwellers praying on your downfall. It's tiresome, having to sit through every little spiel from these ankle-biters about how they have what it takes to magically do what no one else has done before no matter HOW HARD they've worked! And this week on Battleground as I travel to one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world, Tokyo, Japan, I meet another rugrat who comes with the same empty promise that I've heard more than I care to remember. But something's different. This one's just a little bit different. This time, I'm feeling a little bit more excited. This isn't a Nick Angel, this isn't a Y2Impact, this isn't a Ryan Savage, or a Liam Catterson, this is someone of a different mold. He's compelling, he's spirited, he's dynamic, he exudes conviction.

You're different, Samurai. I'll at least give you that. First of all you're a lot less boring than Nick Angel. That taco bell rant at the beginning was actually kind of amusing, and your metaphor behind it was rousing too although inane and morosely inaccurate. But in all seriousness, you have a spark that deep down inside I admittedly admire. But that's about as many praises as I can sing for you, kid. It's been a long time coming, hasn't it? We've had our back and forths on different platforms, but the moment of truth rapidly approaches. It's put up or shut the fuck up now, Mex. Now you're in the big leagues. You're in God's house. You may be a bit different from the others who've stepped up to me in recent memory, but I'm in a different world from anything you've ever experienced before. To even get on my level you must ascend, you must "Take Flight". But at heights like mine the air is just too thin for some people. Some people just can't keep up. Some of them can't last five minutes. Others are able to endure, but they only go so far. Look at Dark Demon for instance. He's your most validating win, right? I know he went for seven months holding that Hall Of Fame title and calling himself the GOAT while that bald slave-bitch of his worships the ground he walks on, and I know he went about destroying the likes of Diamond Cage, Heart Break Boy, Cameron Ella Ava, etc. Because of the hype surrounding him he looked virtually unstoppable. Hell, he even gave you a rude awakening, one that you almost never come back from. But you overcame that tribulation and managed to get your decisive win over him in epic fashion! That's fantastic buddy, I know you've been on a high ever since. I know you rode that wave (for the most part) ever since. It's too bad Dark Demon isn't even close to my fucking level. Has never been, never will be. When he tried to come to my heights, when he tried to reach my level, he gassed the fuck out, and I made him suffer. He couldn't even show his face what I did to him, and I wasn't anywhere near the competitor I am now, proving that my worst day is better than your best day. You see Mex, there are two realities you have to juggle between, and it's the reality people create for themselves versus the reality that cannot be denied. In Demon's world, defeating him means beating the Greatest of All Time, but in the real world, you knocked off some loud mouthed self serving overcompensating prick who's bark far exceed's his bite. Similarly, defeating Vic Vendetta, the EAW Champion, SHOULD mean that you defeated the best this company has to offer which automatically makes you the best this company has to offer! But in reality, you defeated a third string World Champion who went seven years being the recurring flash in the pan before finally capturing a World Title. A lovely success story, but peanuts compared to a God like me who's established an undisputed DYNASTY.

Law of Power #19: know who you're dealing with. This may be the most overlooked law of them all, especially by your generation. Often we gauge ourselves on our enemies and adversaries, and we believe that because we've beaten somebody who looks like they should be a big deal, that makes us a big deal by default. I've made this mistake myself when I was your age, and it came back to haunt me. 

You are another promise maker in this game, Samurai. Remember that. That isn't meant to discredit you, because your word is still your bond. But when you inflate the value of your opponents, it's not long before you inflate your own value. The only thing you're unequivocally right about is that this match will be the most important one of your career. It will be the biggest money fight you've ever fought. Your stock rises just from facing God. FACT, UNEQUIVOCAL FACT. UNDENIABLE FACT. Legends salivate at facing me on the biggest stage, some people fantasize about even sharing the same ring with me. Savor it, Samurai. And learn from what I have to teach you, because the spotlight can be overwhelming, and these white hot lights that are so sought after can also hang over you head like a hex when you aren't prepared. It DEMANDS your very best, and your every flaw protrudes from the shadows into the public eye -- every blemish is for all to see! You are searched with a fine tooth comb for even a fragment of a flaw so that you can be swarmed by naysayers, and pundits, and critics, and the pressure becomes overwhelming for so many people! Why do you think the top is so lonely!? Most others can't make it! That spotlight that you kids say I hog up, the spotlight that you so crave, will SWALLOW YOU WHOLE IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL. YOU'LL BE TORN TO PIECES BEFORE I EVEN LAY A HAND ON YOU! 

That is unless you're different. And deep down inside I think you are, Samurai. As misguided as you are, you have an it factor deep inside of you, but there's so much stopping you from reaching your potential, and I think the biggest thing stopping you is your opinion of yourself. This inflated ego of yours, of course, is a result of entitlement, which come as no surprise from someone of your generation; the most entitled, spoiled and pampered generation of all fucking time. The generation of safe spaces, and trigger warnings, and hate-facts, where you'll elect anybody who promises you free healthcare and college tuition into office. Truthfully entitlement is necessary to get what you want. The problem is, it's too easy to be entitled now. It's too easy now to make promises that you can't keep. It's too easy to make demands that you don't deserve. The work ethic has waned in the youth. This isn't just old-man rhetoric, this isn't some old curmudgeon rattling off my gripes about you rotten little ragamuffins. I've seen guys like you come and go, voicing the same complaints. Airing the same old grievances about how I've "crushed the imagination of the youth by being in my place for too long." Because that's one of your generation' isms. Your attention spans are so short, you need to be stimulated by something new every fifteen seconds. I can only imagine your vitriol towards a man like me, who's had a vice grip on this industry for nearly the last decade. I know I'm over saturated, even I can admit it. I can only imagine you're sick of it. But I don't care. And at this point I know it's not my imagination, it's years and years of you brats giving me the same GARBAGE about hogging the spotlight, and holding the mountain-top for ransom. You kids will say that, you'll say all of that, but no one from your generation wants to work hard enough to knock me off the top. No one wants to work hard enough to break my vice grip. No, it's not easy enough for you.

Apparently you'd rather I appoint you as my heir apparent even when you clearly don't deserve it. It's why you have this grudge against me because I wouldn't involve you in the Anti-Gun. Like some scolded, rejected little bitch who holds a grudge on the coach for not putting him on the Varsity team. Even though Zack Crash chose Brett Kennedy and Aren Mstislav to be in the Anti-Gun, you still hold it against me for choosing The Pizza Boy over you. You just wanted me to hand you a spot on my team over someone who had defeated the likes of Hades The Hellraiser and Jamie O'Hara leading up to that point. You were entitled beyond your means, and you hold it against me to this day that I didn't place the brass ring in your hand like a fucking handout. 

The reason why I didn't even consider you for the Anti-Gun was because you were less than nothing. You were a confused fuck in between your "Unwrestler" phase and your play-pretend 40 year old with a crumbling family life gimmick. You would rather tape stupid atrocious little segments with your runaway daughter who looks older than you are than focus on your ability. You were just some dumb, confused kid playing roles and melodramatic sketches, lost in the shuffle, wasting peoples time. You hadn't accomplished a goddamned thing, and even if you had, that still doesn't make you entitled to be on my side. Even to this day, you don't deserve to be in the same ring with me. That's not a birthright. You are PRIVILEGED to share the ring with me. Understand?? It is a PRIVILEGE. Especially after Ryan Savage made you his bitch and choked you the fuck out. I should have disregarded you as a viable opponent right there and then, I should disregard anybody who loses to Ryan Savage as a viable opponent, but I'm willing to write your failure off as an expense. We've all been in compromising positions before, after all. As a matter of fact on Battleground you'll be in another compromising position, because you'll be in the ring with a man who you haven't even bothered to show proper respect for and pay tribute to. No, instead you thought you could rattle my name off like it doesn't hold more weight than everyone else's combined. You've been here less than a year, you've done decent for yourself. You're Interwire Champion, you have somewhat reputable victories under your belt. But brace yourself. Tell your father, tell Haruna, tell your loved ones to brace themselves. You're riding your wave of momentum into Tokyo in a packed house that will be chanting "Ichiban" on my arrival because they know what they're getting when they get Mr. DEDEDE. But I don't think you do. I don't think you know what you're dealing with, so wake up. Because I'm going to crush this augmented reality you're stuck inside, I'm going to pop that bubble you've surrounded yourself in; and as your world and world view comes crashing down around you, only one truth will remain. MY TRUTH.
