TERRITORIAL INVASION PROMO #5
 
[The screen is black at first, but then slowly begins to fade into a visible scene.  Once the image is completely clear, the scene before is remarkably simple.  It is compromised of a simple white room with no furnishings or noticeable features of any kind, with one exception.  A rich, red leather armchair sits in the center of the room.  And currently occupying that chair is none other than Zack Crash.  He’s dressed in a black suit, and wears an expression of calm and serene peace.  He inhales deeply, breaths out heavily, then looks at the camera and begins to speak.]
 
Zack Crash:  Sometimes simple is best.
 
Throughout the week leading up to Territorial Invasion I’ve used various settings and visuals as symbolic messages to help convey my point.  But with the big day so close at hand now, I figured that this time it would be best if I kept things simple.  No big set pieces, no hired actors, no pomp or circumstance, just me and you.  Because sometimes the more dramatic we are to get a point across, the more it gets lost in translation.  And with the match between Team Crash and Team Ryder getting closer by the second, the last thing I want is for my final words to be misunderstood.  In these final hours before the war begins, we have to look not only at our opponents, but also within ourselves.  Once we do that, once we obtain true understanding of every detail, we can truly know what separates us from our enemies, and we can finally step into that cage of hell with the weapons needed to walk out victorious.  Perhaps even our foes will finally begin to understand us better as well.  Perhaps they will see the falseness of what they think they know, and that realization might bring them a moment of comfort in defeat, for they will know that they weren’t failures…they simply just weren’t good enough to beat me and my team.  But I won’t hold my breath on that one.  I also want everyone to see me and understand that when we go into this match, I go into with calm and confidence.  And it is with that same calm and confidence that I will be leading my troops into battle.  Because despite Team Ryder’s every attempt to unnerve me (and I will admit they came close a few times), I remain in total control of this match and its outcome.  My opponents are very angry right now with me and some of the things I’ve said, which is precisely how I like my opponents best.  Angry people don’t make good wrestlers.  Angry people make mistakes easily.  And it is those mistakes that I plan to capitalize on.  Because that’s the kind of game I excel at best…the thinking game.  From the start of my rebellion all those years ago, I’ve been outsmarting opponent after opponent, thinking one, two, or three steps ahead of them.  I use either their hatred for me, or their underestimation of my skills, or their own hubris against them.  I’ve have studied the great chess players Bobby Fischer, the great generals like Sun Tzu, and the works of behavioral psychologists like BF Skinner.  I know how the average human thinks, what they’re likely to do, and it’s that knowledge that has allowed me to rise to prominence in EAW.  Some of my opponents may argue that people are able to adapt and change, and while I agree some are, it is plainly obvious that most of the Elitists in EAW are painfully predictable.  And it is this predictability that played and will play the biggest factor in my opponents at Territorial Invasion.  I knew what each of them was likely to say and how they were most likely to respond to my words, which I used to plan every step, every word, and every counter to them.  They danced like puppets to my song, and it played out beautifully.  But I fear I’m getting ahead of myself.  
 
So without further ado, let us begin…
 
[Next to Crash, much like in a newsroom, a picture of Ryan Marx appears.  Zack turns his head to see who his first target is, and he begins to laugh.  But it isn’t like the condescending laugh we’ve heard Crash employ before.  No, this is a laugh born of genuine entertainment and actual interest in the subject of his promo.  This attitude toward Ryan Marx is baffling to some.  Zack turns back to the camera, a warm smile on his face.]
 
Oh Mr. Marx.  You know despite the fact that we’re opponents in this match, despite the fact that I don’t agree with anything you’ve said over the past week, despite your every attempt to get under my skin…I just can’t bring myself to hate you or even dislike you.  Believe it or not I find myself admiring many things about you.  I admire your intelligence, I admire your verbal skills, and I admire your tenacity.  It’s just such a shame we find ourselves on opposite ends cuz I actually feel we could’ve been great allies.  For that reason, I feel it is my duty and obligation to try and guide you; to give you the benefit of my wisdom and experience.  And if experience has taught me anything it is this…don’t let others dictate how you should be.  Oh I can already hear your brain as it tries to think up a counter to deny this claim, but you let slip that this is your mindset with one simple phrase.  You brought up how you embraced your selfishness, your egotistical side…your “flaws.”  See if you were an independent thinker like me, you wouldn’t think that.  You’ve let EAW and the wrestling world tell you that having an ego or being selfish, that wanting anything for yourself is bad.  You may accept that side of yourself, but talking like that shows you still view them as flaws, but that you just don’t care.  But I don’t see these traits as flaws.  I see them as traits to be admired.  What others call selfishness I call ambition.  What some call egotistical I call confidence.  I figured someone as smart as you would understand that “flaws” can all too often be reconfigured into something else.  Our “flaws” are just the sides of ourselves people are jealous of because they don’t see them within themselves.  Your ego and your selfishness are not flaws, but the fact that you view them as such are, because it means your subconscious will always be looking to stop you, and eventually it will.  Unless you learn to stop listening to the indoctrination EAW tries to drill into your head, and listen to yourself.
 
But I am by none means a perfect individual either Ryan.  I may present an image of calm perfection, but that’s only because I know what my flaws are and choose to hide them from my opponents.  That doesn’t mean I don’t accept them.  I just believe in the proverb from William Hazlitt.  He said that “Cunning is the art of concealing our own defects, and discovering other people’s weaknesses.”  Yes I present certain faults of my own, but you have to ask are those my true defects, or are they maybe perhaps what I want you to think are my defects?  Some of them are true, some of them are an act, but the point is I want my opponents constantly focused on these aspects of me.  I’m sorry if this image you had of my doesn’t meet the expectations of what you’re seeing, but if that’s what you want then you’re perfect for Team Ryder.  Matty is a man concerned with how other’s perceive him, and look how his career has turned out.  If you’re smart Ryan, you’ll say fuck what everyone else thinks of me and do what makes sense to you.  That’s what I thought when you called me “uninteresting” or “boring”.  Good, that means you won’t take me seriously in the ring, and your look of shock when I beat the shit out of you will be ever more priceless. 
 
Whether you want to admit it or not, you and many newbies like you owe much of what you’re achieving to me and those who came before.  If you walk down a path, are you not enjoying the labors of the workers who paved that path?  Who do you think laid down the foundations or poured the concrete?  If it wasn’t you, then even if you’re walking on your own, you’re still enjoying the fruits of another’s work because now you don’t have to walk in the mud.  Just like how when I got here it was partially due to what the others who came before me had done.  The key however is to recognize this, and simply forge a new and even better path, which is exactly what I’ve done.  I’ve changed EAW more than any other Elitist who has come before me, and you are a recipient of that change.  You can talk about how you walk your own path, or how you seep into the air unnoticed, but I’m still the one who cleared the path before you got here.  In my time, you would’ve been met with roadblock after roadblock.  And sure you can say you’d bust them down or go through them, and I’m sure you would.  But you’re enjoying an easier and smoother path because of me.  You think Dark Demon would’ve suffered a guy like you?  You think DEDEDE would have permitted a newbie in the War Games Match during his time?  You don’t know this, but the environment before you got here was so political that opportunities were handed out based on whom you knew and blew, rather than actual talent or hard work.  I’m the one who changed that.  That’s something you can’t argue or deny.  Perhaps you’ll say you’ll walk a new path and fuck the road I built, which is an option.  But the funny thing about those who try to tread unsought territory, they all too often run into obstacles and predators they never imagined, only to never be heard from again.  If that’s the fate you want for yourself, then I can’t stop you.  But if you continue to walk down the path you’re currently on, just know it was me who laid the brick.
 
I say all of this out of concern Ryan, not hate.  Because I still see much potential in you.  You’re smart, verbally dissecting, analytical, and have an ambition I admire in one so new to EAW.  You just have to accept that you’re nowhere near my level yet.  Oh you can get there with time and effort, but as of now, the gap between us is too wide for you to jump.  And if you try, you’ll just fall to the rocky depths below.

You know LC, I have to be honest with you, out of all the members of Team Ryder you’re going to be the hardest to promo against.  I mean, how do you come up with something, how do you compose a compelling response when all you get is shit to work with?  The only thing I can think of is asking you how it feels to be the weak link of your team.  It’s a sad day indeed when the Cash In The Vault holder, the man who is “supposedly” to become a World Champion in a year, is the weakest member of any team.  Matt Ryder isn’t the weak link.  Chris Elite isn’t the weak link.  Hell, even the newbie isn’t the weak link.  It’s you!  And this isn’t like a Dream Team situation where being the weak link isn’t so bad because the entire team is full of talent.  Team Ryder was low enough as it was with the picks Matty made for his teammates, but you’ve made it so much worse than it had to be.  You’re the primary reason few believe Team Ryder has a chance of winning this match.  You ever hear the cliché that any team is only as good as their weakest member?  Well if that’s true, then Team Ryder lost this match the moment they allowed you into their ranks.  For all intents and purposes this match is actually a 4 On % Handicap Match, because you’re so off my radar that I don’t even consider you a threat.  They would’ve been better off if YOU had quit and Cyclone had stayed.  At least Cyclone was a main-eventer, at least he was a Hall Of Famer.  What are you?  Just some guy who got lucky one night at Pain For Pride, and since then hasn’t done anything to prove himself worthy of that victory.  You’re a disgrace to that briefcase you carry, and worst of all…you’re a disgrace to Team Ryder.  I’d call you a disgrace to EAW too, but with any luck you won’t be here much longer to continue soiling its good name with your presence.  And hopefully you won’t disgrace the rest of us in this match very long with your presence.  My first order of business is to have you eliminated first, so that the ring is at least only fully of those (barely) worthy of being in it.  You talk about needing to come up with a change and you’re absolutely right…a change of careers.  You don’t belong here LC, and at War Games, you’re going to see just how right I am.

You know Chris I think you’ve been hanging around Matty just a bit too much lately.  You’re starting to sound like his clone, just repeating the same shit he does.  What are you, his pet parrot now?  Do you get a cracker every time you say Zack isn’t entertaining or delusional?  Well it’s nice to know you listen to him, because you clearly don’t listen to anyone else.  I distinctly said earlier this week that I don’t give a shit about being entertaining.  I don’t say things to make people giggle or smile.  I say things because they’re true, and the truth is never exciting, it just hurts.  It especially hurts for those to whom it’s directed at.  For example, the truth that I beat up you and Matty after our tag team match, and yes I am going to brag about it Chris, because by doing so I turned a defeat into a victory.  I showed everyone that even if someone does get the best of OMERTA, the celebrations won’t last long.  I took the momentum you had just gained, and I took one giant, massive shit on it.  And any time I do that to guys like you and Matty is reason enough to brag about it.  Nobody remembers that victory now Chris, they just remember the ass kicking afterwards.  So that one victory you brag about means nothing to anyone.  That’s truth Chris.  Here’s another truth, you’re a walking, talking shitbag of contradictions.  First you talk about how OMERTA doesn’t have any power, but the now you talk about how OMERTA isn’t going to have their hands in any outlets anymore.  Well which is it Chris?  Does OMERTA have power or doesn’t OMERTA have power?  Maybe you aren’t thinking before you talk.  Maybe, like a good parrot, you’re just repeating what you hear.  How about this little nugget.  You give excuse after excuse of why you didn’t help Matty at Dia Del Diablo, which I find funny because if you’re so interested in fight the corruption you think I embody, if you think I’m such a bastard, then why weren’t you there to help your “friend” when that inevitably came to happen?  Surely you both must’ve expected that from me?  You can propose your theoretical scenarios reversing the situation and how I might respond to it, which may or may not be accurate, but they’re pointless because that’s not how it happened.  Bottom line is, when Matty needed your help, you did nothing about it.  You could’ve helped him when you clearly saw something was wrong, you could’ve ran out there to try and save him or stop Hades, but you didn’t.  Because this noble mission you have of helping Matty stop me only extends so far.  And now that you’re finally a champion, you’re not going to put that at risk, just like you weren’t willing to risk it at Dia Del Diablo.  So in this match, when Matty needs you most, how likely are you to turn tail and run?  How long before you lay down because you don’t want to risk your championship reign.  I know guys like you Chris.  You act all selfless and noble, when you’re secretly the most selfish person in the room.  You’re even worse than guys like me because at least I’m honest about who I am.  You pretend to be someone’s buddy, their partner, that guy they can call in a time of need.  But once it gets inconvenient, well that’s when somebody has to be a “big boy” and fight their own battle.  But it’s ok because “they knew what they were getting into” right Chris?
 
And as far as my set pieces go, I use them as a visual metaphor to help get my point across, because some people (like yourself) are too stupid to hear the truth so they have to have it beaten into their head with visuals.  But I find it funny that my settings were the biggest bit you had to respond to.  Almost as if it was YOU who didn’t have anything meaningful to say.  Almost as if you’re jealous that you can’t come up with anything as creative as what I do.  But I digress.  I'm taking your advice however.  This time I'm keeping it simple for.  Simple images, and simple words so they don't go over your head.  The point is you focus on what’s superficial.  Instead of focusing on what’s around me, perhaps you should listen more closely to the words coming out of my mouth.  Maybe you should really think about them, look deeper into their meaning and purpose, instead of just what’s on the surface.  It’s why you’ll never be able to out talk me Chris, and you’ll never be able to out wrestle me either.  You think just because you won some midcard championship that makes you unstoppable?  Chris winning the belt is the easy part.  It’s fighting like a champion on a consistent basis that’s the hard part.  Sure you may have had one successful title defense, but these War Games match will be your first true test as a champion.  A Test you will fail miserably.  This will be my third War Games and your first.  And let me promise you that you have NO IDEA what you’re getting into.  The only advice I can give you is that War is hell.  But it’s so much worse when the Devil is the Game Master.

Well it looks to me like I might have hit the nail on the proverbial head.  I call out Parker’s fear of me, and now silence falls upon him once more.  What’s the matter Parker, did the Boogeyman scare you?  Well I’m sure you’ll be feeling much braver once in the ring when Team Ryder is standing next to you.  Just remember that sometimes bravery is just a convenient disguise for fear. 
 
[Four members have now been dissected by Zack Crash.  Only one remains.  Zack looks eager as the image of Parker disappears, but is not immediately replaced.  Only silence follows for what seems like a long moment, as if Zack is purposefully drawing out the tension.  Finally, a BEFORE and AFTER image of Matt Ryder appears, displaying how his face looked before Dia Del Diablo, and a newer one showcasing his burns scars.]
 
And once again we get the same old tired bullshit from Matty Ryder.
Zack isn’t entertaining.

Didn’t you just last time call me out for saying the same shit?  Geez!  I guess nobody ever told you about the pot and the kettle.  Just FYI Matty, pot isn’t just something you smoke.  Maybe that’ll help you understand the metaphor better.  Oh and you’re insult about my Chairmanship reign?!  “Maybe you’re time in the ring will last longer than your stint as Chairman”?!  HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  Can you even count?  I reigned as Chairman well over a year!  So are you saying I’ll be so good in this match I’ll last a year?!  Or maybe, since you’ve never been Chairman, you’re admitting I’ll outlast you.  Man, and you say I don’t think before I speak.  But it’s whatever.  If that’s what you need to do to feel better about yourself, then you be my guest.  I’ll take the first step then and I’ll give you something different.  I won’t mention how I’ve made you my bitch ever since I got your job back.  I won’t bring up how I burnt your face off.  I won’t even compare the differences in our accolades being laughable.  No instead let us talk about something different.  Let’s talk about effort.  You challenged me to put more effort into making this match matter to me.  But there’s only one problem with that…this match DOESN’T matter to me.  That’s what I’ve been trying to get across all this time, and it seems you’ve finally gotten it.  The only reason this match is taking place is because Damien Murrow apparently hates us both Matty.  He hates me because I’m a threat to his authority so he tries to undermine me with this match.  And he hates you because you’re in the ring and not on the commentary table, so he puts you up against me again hoping I’ll finish you permanently this time.  So yeah, as far as I’m concerned this match doesn’t matter to me.  Because really what do I prove by beating you yet again?  I’ve already done that countless times already, so nothing changes.  And what do gain if by some act of God you win?  OMERTA will still exist, I’ll still be in power, and I’ll still have more victories and beatings over you.  So nothing is proven and nothing is gained, which means that as a businessman this whole thing is a waste of my time.  This is all just Murrow’s attempt to make a statement so he can feel important and give himself a nice stiff one in his pants.  It’s just little annoyance I have to deal with before I move onto bigger and better things.  And trust me, I got bigger and better things planned for after Territorial Invasion.  But that’s for later.  Right now, my focus is you and Team Ryder.  My only purpose in this match is to get it over quickly because Team Ryder doesn’t warrant my full attention.  So my effort extends to only the minimum amount needed to beat your team’s ass and get on with my life, whereas the majority of it is focused on OMERTA and doing things in this business nobody in this match, including and especially you Matty, are capable of.  And if you really wanted to throw out the insult of “effort” perhaps you should be looking to your own team first.  Have you seen what Lioncross has given us?!  That doesn’t seem particularly inspired or motivated.  And what about Cyclone?  He seemed very motivated to run out the door.  Nice job molding your team into a “domination machine.”  But that’s really what we should be talking about.  Now that the time is so close for this match to begin, let’s talk about our roles as leaders.  I put together a team of men who don’t need me to lead them because they’re perfectly capable of leading themselves.  They have their own wants, their own desires, and their own reasons to want to win this match.  Which will guarantee we work together because all of our desires are linked together.  That’s what a leader does.  He units a group of individuals too dysfunctional to get along on a personal level and helps them to put all that aside for something bigger and better than their individual feelings.  That’s why between you and me, I’m the better leader.  Now what have you done to prove yourself a good leader.  You couldn’t keep your very first team member involved long enough to even get his first promo out.  You can’t get the one member of your team supposedly guaranteed to be a World Champion before the year is out to put forth a decent effort.  And you wanna criticize MY team?  You wanna criticize my leadership?  Look at my team and how much each of them have talked and talked because they want to win this match.  Now look at yours.  About the only two putting forth any real effort is Parker and Marx.  How sad is it when your subordinates out promo you.  You’re not a team, you’re just a collection of 5 guys who happen to be standing on the same side of the ring together.  Well let me promise you, that won’t be enough to defeat Team Crash.  
 
[With the entirety of Team Ryder covered, the final image fades away and no new one appears.  Zack crosses his legs and cups his hands on his knees.  Only now does the calm smile turn into an arrogant smug.]
 
OMERTA is EAW.  To some it may not be good business, to some it may be a threat to their careers, but regardless of what they think, but the fact that OMERTA pisses so many people off just proves to me I’m right.  Because people always try to fight change, even if it’s right.  I changed the wrestling business for good and for always when I was Chairman.  But my time isn’t done yet.  There still so much more to do, and I’ll destroy anyone who gets in the way of that.  If you lack vision, if you lack ambition, if you lack talent, then you have no place in OMERTA’s world.  I’ll go through each Elitist one at a time (or in this case one team at a time) until only the best remain.  Then I shall make sure that only the best are capable of signing up with EAW.  Only then will EAW rise to the top of the wrestling world to stay there forever.  And I shall rule it forever.  I will be remembered as the greatest Elitist EAW has ever known.  The man who rise from a simple thrill seeker on Turbo, to the leader of a new generation.  You can't write a better Cinderella Story than that.  I’m going to end to old world of EAW, and from it’s ashes build a new and better one.

Well week 1 is over.

Bama is gonna be tough to beat. Michigan and OSU both look very promising this season. Texas/Notre Dame was FUCKING INTENSE! Both #3 Oklahoma and #5 LSU went down. Houston is the real deal. And also Tennessee don't look like thyre gonna live up to their hype all offseason.  A really low school beat an SEC team Mississippi State. Nebraska's touching moment when honoring their punter who passed away by going on the field with only 10 men and taking a delay of game, plus their opponent declining the penalty...pure class by both teams. And Ole Miss blew a 28-6 lead in the 3rd quarter to Florida State and lost the game...just LOL!

Plenty of upsets and amazing games, one of the reasons why college football is so electrifying. Week 1 was was a great 10/10! 3 top 10 teams went down and its gonna be a epic season, and it was only week 1!

Don’t give yourself so much credit sweetie. My friendships are still strong. The thing about Formation is that it was a farce. I was part of the reason Formation dwindled because I was never in it in the first place. Things don’t tend to work very well when you have one foot out the door before you ever fully step in. I never bought in to whatever Stephanie was trying to do there. I don’t think anyone but Stephanie did. The reasons Formation fell apart had to do with struggles that existed long before Grand Rampage.  For you to see it as anything else is just insane on your part. I’ve never been a victim of EAW. I’ve been a victim of circumstance. Sports entertainment will always be the name of the business, no matter what kind of revolution you or I try to spark inside of a division. What we can do is represent ourselves to the highest form and never stop chipping away at the authority that holds our cards. We have to take advantage of the Vixen’s Cups and Empress of Elite opportunities knowing they are the key to us thrusting ourselves into the position whether they like it or not. You got yours, I’m just trying to get my own now by following my own path. There are a lot of different ways to maneuver yourself from Point A to Point B in the Empress tournament. And the best way, in my mind, is to win every single match in the best way possible. That’s why I have two submission victories already. But I’ve been fighting with this mindset for a long ass time. You weren’t the one that made the change. You see a room with one singular light shining above all the others. I see a light crowded by lights of different levels. Some are dim and might never be woken up. Some are shining brightly in almost a false way, driven to something so bright it can’t possibly be authentic. There are others that burn brighter and brighter as they days go by. They’re just waiting for these lights to burn out, shut off and go away for good, but the lights resist. The lights keep fighting. Maybe that’s where we are. Because as stubborn as I am to never quit, you’re stubborn in the way you never stop pushing the German Efficiency button for all your commas and periods. I’m strong, Sheridan. And it’s not because of you. It’s because of me. It’s not because of Tarah or Aria, or because Cameron thought she was pushing me beyond my limits. I’m strong because of my conviction to myself. I wanted to be this way. I worked to be this way. Just like I worked for that first title. I’m now working for my next. And you can try to take credit for it, but no credit is honestly given your way. You act like I’ve never been fiery or excited for a match. I get excited for every match. I deliver fire every week in these messages. And then I go in that ring and I fight without any regard for my own safety. I fight like it will be the last time they allow me to walk in that ring. I fight to win. I wrestle to be the best. You have nothing to do that. That, has been happening since before we even knew you existed. Any girl who predates you could say that, including the ones you boasted about sending to early retirement. My dream has never been the embodiment of anything but the American dream. To work my way up to the top and be the best at what I do. That’s not a German thing alone. This, for me, has nothing to do with nationality or culture. I don’t walk to the ring draped in the flag of my fathers or forefathers. I walk down there holding the flag of Cailin Dillon. It’s a nation that’s working to be the best it can possibly be. It’s an industrial nation, building on its small but prideful infrastructure with the goal of exceeding that glass ceiling. Because I don’t believe in stopping. I don’t believe in settling. I believe in pressing my fist high above my head and smashing through glass ceilings. I’m not trying to be the underdog or the favorite. I’m not trying to be the hero or the villain. I’m just trying to be me, and do what’s right by me. What’s right by me is beating you and winning this tournament and becoming the Vixen’s Champion at Road to Redemption. They could call that story what they want. They can boo or cheer me as I walk down to that ring. I won’t change, just like you wont. This is the authentic Cailin. People try to tell us what to do and how to act, and who to be. I don’t follow those paths, and it isn’t because Sheridan Müller showed me the right way. It’s because I found the right way on my own. I fought in hard matches. I won some, I lost some, but one thing always remained the same. I learned and I evolved and I stand in front of you a different person and a different fighter right now than I was at Grand Rampage. The changes are constant. The improvement is consistent. There is no fear about the path ahead of me. There is courage in taking on every challenge. There is fearlessness in fighting German Efficiency. And there is confidence in overcoming any obstacle you try to place in front of me.
 
Your perfection is a mirage of sorts. You are working towards perfection. You’re far from it though. That’s the thing. None of us are really perfect. That’s where the mistakes come in. You are working hard to become as close as you possibly can. I understand your goal is to be perfect and to spread German Effciency to the masses. You want to launch this new era. It’s not easy, and I can sense you fighting and fighting just to make something happen. It’s obvious you have this great opportunity in your back pocket, ready to go at a moment’s notice. You can’t wait for people to accept your “truth.” They will never accept your truth. If you believe this division is cancerous and you are waiting for things to change, you’ll never see it happen. This is the reality of what this division is and you either accept that, or you just keep waiting. Why not take your shot and become the champion. Why not take control of the backstage politics. The issues within this division are controlled by men who aren’t even a part of it. They feel like all of their moves have been justified, and that won’t change. I complained enough about whether or not I should have a rematch after losing a title without being pinned. They believe I had two chances to get my title back in multi-person matches. I didn’t achieve getting them back, so they wrote me out of that hunt. They told me try at the Empress of Elite tournament and maybe you can get a chance at a title. That was their message to me. If you cashed in your cup, but didn’t become champion. That would be their message to you. Sorry, Sheridan, try to win the Vixens Cup again. Is this unfortunate? Yes, it’s terrible. But it’s the hand we’re dealt and one we might never be able to change. Those people, they don’t get in the ring with us. And when we complain, they shut the doors on us. So what can we do? We fight for ourselves. We take advantage of our chances and we win. I don’t think you should wait. I think you should take what’s yours, no matter the champion, and sit at the top of that throne. The only way you can possibly start these changes is from that spot. That’s your only chance to even try. Because we will never be utilized as well as we should unless we take actions. I don’t agree with what always takes place backstage, but I’m selfish. And plenty of those decisions have gone against me. I understand that the math is off. I beat someone in a title match for my title, and two months later they are the Vixens Champion. That doesn’t add up. But it’s what we have to deal with. It’s the challenge they hang over our heads over and over. But it’s not going to stop me from coming to work every single day and fighting for everything I get. I will give them no choice but to put me in that title match. Because I came into this tournament ready to win it. And I will. All I have to do is win every single match they put in front of me. The politics are null and void with this. Finally, once again, they just want to see who the best is. They just want to see someone prove how much they want this and how much they want a shot at a title. And that’s what they’re getting from me. Maybe you see it as me doing things more efficiently, but it has nothing to do with you and your craft. You said it yourself, while we have similarities in mindset, we couldn’t be more different in personalities and styles. I wouldn’t want to follow everything you do, because it wouldn’t fit me. The same can be said for you. It wouldn’t make sense for you to follow everything I do. I should be clear though. I’m not whining about you mentioning German Efficiency. I’m not mocking you or downplaying it. I’m just saying it’s yours and yours alone. You own it. It’s for you. It’s what you believe in. But it will never be full accepted by the world around you. Just like things I do will never be full accepted by the world around me. I don’t let it stop me though. I just keep coming back. For months when I first started in EAW, I listened to the same woman tell me I needed to quit and go away forever. Just two weeks ago Cameron was telling me this was my last chance. If I don’t win the Empress crown, I’ll never have a chance. I don’t believe that to be the case, but I also don’t like taking things for granted. I don’t take this tournament for granted, just like I wouldn’t have treated the Vixen’s Cup that way if I could fight in it. But I couldn’t. They didn’t allow the champions to fight in it. There’s some of your backstage politics you like to boast about. You are passionate about who you are and what you believe in, but I’m just as zealous about everything I believe in. About who I am. Your lifestyle might be superior to you, but mine is greater to me. And yours can’t possibly compare. Your beliefs didn’t save me. I’m not a follower of you. I’m just me. And I’ve done everything it takes to become a better version of me. That’s what saved me. I could have wept and moped around for months and months after losing a title. But I picked myself up and kicked my ass back into action. I redeveloped myself and refocused myself. That was me. That was not a façade or a gimmick. That was not German Efficiency. I appreciate Sheridan Müller for what she is. You’re a damn fine competitor that will never stop pushing her opponents. You will never stop fighting to be the best. You will never stop until things are exactly the way you want them. But I’m not your disciple or your follower. You didn’t steer me in this direction. This was all me.
 
I’m sorry you let words get you so riled up and lose control of yourself. You don’t like being called a machine. But you just tell everyone they don’t understand you, while frequently misinterpreting what they say to you in order to spin everything around and make points that change everything. You’re not a robot you dipshit, I just understand why people think you are. I’m far from a phony. I’m just genuinely tell you like I see it. Just like the “facts” you tell to everyone else. You see, I love going head-to-head with you because our war or words before we hit the ring is often more than just a typical bitchy catfight back and forth. That’s why people misunderstand you and they don’t like to fight me. We don’t have to spend so much time digging out of the bottom of the barrel to make our points and say what we’re going to do. You say it isn’t likely that I’ll beat you because you’re superior. I say we’ll just see in the ring. We have two matches decided by roll up pins. That’s hardly enough to satisfy either one of us. We will settle it for at least the moment on Friday. I’m sorry, though, I’m not Aria. I feel like you are resorting to calling me aria as some sort of last ditch effort to put yourself ahead of me verbally. Listen, it’s a hell of a tactic. Anytime I try to examine how you might be thinking, you say I’m telling lies. Then you accuse me of saying the same things over and over and droning on. But… you say the same things over and over and you drone on. And no, I’m not a mind reader, but if it bothers you that I try to break you down mentally than you are not as tough as I thought you were. You’re damn right that there are people here who are overhyped and underrated, but you are neither. You are right in the middle. No one sees you as an underdog. Everyone knows who you are and what you’re capable of. They’re all just waiting to see if you even know what to do with the power you have. Also, you know I’d love to give you credit for Maddie, but I can’t. She hasn’t changed herself like you claim. She more or less took a vacation. She, who had long benefitted from the very politics you talk about, wanted to get away from the monotonous schedule of losing Vixens Championship matches and do something else. Would you beat her if you guys were to meet this week? Probably… or at least most likely. I mean, we never know what’s going on up in her head.
 
This is part of the Sheridan way. You tell us about your culture and the great German people. I tell a very short background story of myself, and you dismiss it. And then you get pissed about things I said you didn’t like and you wave your hands around and stomp your feet like a child or something. Oops… didn’t mean to compare you to a child again. You know you like to dismiss the past a lot. But you like to bring up German history even more. Isn’t it possible that German Efficiency was something that once existed before and that you are now trying to prolong. Isn’t it possible that you, Sheridan Müller, could be the reason German Efficiency dies!? Now I’m just messing with you and poking around to watch you squirm. The truth is I don’t really care about your story either. But you invite mine to be told. And I only talked the past before because you talked about the past. Do these rules only apply to opponents and not to you!? Oh my!?!? Seriously now, we can stop all that frivolity bullshit. Really, those past things are novelties. If you want to make rules, at least abide by them yourself. If you’re superior, don’t bring anything but the best top-notch effort to Dynasty this week. Because I want to beat a top-notch wrestler. I’m tired of facing girls that want to make funny photoshop manipulations and film weird reality shows for their video messages. I’ve waited, anxiously, for a whole week to be given someone who I could actually feel challenged by. It’s not the German Efficiency that lights the fire in me, it’s the challenge of facing Sheridan Müller. I’m ready to fight you, Sheridan. I’m not promising to be anything but myself on Friday. But I will beat you. I will take you down and I will prove to that I am not the way I am now because of you. I’m the way I am now because of me. You better stop putting your one-woman revolution on hold. You better make a move while you still have a chance to make a difference. I’m about to make my difference no matter what you do.

 

When I was handed the Young Lions Cup I thought it was my time to shine, I thought the New Breed was going to shine with bringing back the concept that worked before and sure as hell will work again this time around. Aria not only you but the whole locker room is trying to make excuses that I was handed the Young Lions Cup and don't deserve it. I damn well deserve this shinny and beautiful trophy, I deserve every accomplishment I have done so far in my career and I truly fucking believe I am the next person in line to get a shot at the New Breed Championship. Pain for Pride 9 may have not been night but it was damn sure something that will not go to waist, that night I was on fire. I was blazing through the whole vixens team that are your friends Aria....belly to belly, german after german after german suplex right into the canvas! I also was about two seconds away from breaking someone's arm and ruining their night by sending them to the hospital and that hospital bill maybe coming your way Aria if you are lucky enough and don't piss me the hell off. But seriously any other person on the roster could have been awarded the cup first over me like Christian Locke, Phoenix Winterborn, or even Beretta but you guys decide to pick on me just because I was first in line? I don't think so Aria, if anything you should be the one with the bigger target on your back over me because you are the fastest rising star not only in the Vixens division right now but the whole main roster on it's own, you were awarded Rookie of the Year for a reason! Want to know the reason? Want to know the reason why I have such a big target on my back right now? It is because I have the one thing that is helping me get one step closer to capturing the New Breed Championship and that is the beautiful Young Lions Cup. You claim I am using the cup and yourself as a stepping stool? Your damn right I am using the Young Lions Cup as a step stool because I want championship gold around my waist, why else would I want the cup Aria? Am I just going to defend the cup every week and go no where in my career? Hell no! You have to think about bigger and better things in life to achieve goals and the one and only goal I have in mind right now is capturing the thing JJ Silva is holding and that is not Zack Crash's balls, that is the New Breed Championship. But the million dollar question is am I Lucas 'The Wrestling Machine' Johnson using the empress of the elite, Aria Jaxon as a step stool to reach greater success? The answer to that million dollar question is hell no, do you want to know why I wanted this fight for so long? Oh my god....he just used the word match over fight! You're damn right I just did because I can't wait to rip you into shreds, get your blood all over my hands and especially get this black cloud over me. Ever since Pain for Pride I just have seen your reflection in the mirror, the mind games have started ever since then and they need to end tomorrow night. I couldn't defeat the Vixens division as a team but I realized what I need to do, to avenge my loss at Pain for Pride I need to take out the leader of the Vixens division at least in my mind and that is you Aria Jaxon. 

The amounts of glass in my hand still won't get your reflection out of the mirror, I look to you as a sister Aria, almost as a tag team because we have such similar lives right now. It will hurt me very much to fight you on Battleground but I have to do this for myself and my well being, I didn't only do this to get the black cloud over my head but I also needed this match-up to prove everyone in the back that it's time to put up or shut up. It's time to prove to everyone that I can beat someone that is equally or better to JJ Silva and prove I am in the title contention with him, the New Breed Championship means everything to me right now and I will not stop until I capture that championship gold. I've done fine? I was the one that said to the Voltage executives and Ashten Cross himself that I bring on all comers, I don't care who I face I will defend my Young Lions Cup proudly they just happened to pick Nobi and Luke Reign. While Luke Reign may have been a walk in the park, I have to say Nobi was very close to knocking me off the throne and capturing the cup not even a week since I was awarded it from Ashten Cross. I will be perfectly honest and say Nobi is probably the future of the New Breed division and will no doubt be a big star down the line but right now it's my time baby. Want to talk about making history? How about I will be the first time in a long time if not ever to defeat you Aria for the second time in a row after suffering a huge Pain for Pride loss and not your rebound and making yourself relevant again in the title picture. How about that making history? How about also I become the first man to cash in the Young Lions Cup since it was reintroduced? How about I become the first man to break your damn arm when I make you say the words 'I Quit' when you scream like a little girl tomorrow night at the draft lottery? The black cloud is about to move onto another individual and the mirror will finally fall with Aria Jaxon's face on it as Lucas Johnson's face rises once again with two victories away from earning a title shot that I will earn! The time has come for all of this to end, for all this drama and talking to be done. It's time to put up or shut up, the lion is ready Aria the question is are you?

 
Tarah Nova walks into an office to find Cailin Dillon staring at a window with her hand on her chin. She is clearly deep in thought but still notices the new entrant.
 
Cailin: Dr. Nova…
 
Tarah: Cailin. We’ve got a new case. Someone out there is claiming they’ve heard someone say some things, but… something seems shaky with the evidence.
 
Cailin turns towards Tarah and nods.
 
Cailin: Yes, yes… you must be talking about the Haruna Sakazaki case. Kind old girl. A little crazy. Seems she’s being having some sort of lucid dreams and she’s leaking them to the press like they’re reality. Yes, yes… maybe there is some truth to what she is saying, but the words… they’re all jumbled and incorrect.
 
Tarah: What on earth do you mean by that, Cailin?
 
Cailin: Well my dear Dr. Nova, being that a good bit of this mess has something to do with me, I guess I can offer the first hand proof that the words are all out of wack. I think with deductive reasoning we can come to the realization that no self-respecting adult would talk like she would have me speak to her in these so-called dreams. Maybe they’re more akin to fairytales if we’re being honest.
 
Tarah: Let me get this straight, you’re suggesting that you, the well-known inspector Cailin Dillon, don’t speak in broken English?
 
Cailin: Well, yes. That is more than correct Dr. Nova. It doesn’t take a magnifying glass to break into this evidence and prove it to be false. You’ve heard me speak enough to know I don’t talk like that. Besides, I think what she’s really attempting is some sort of smear campaign against our good names. At least mine, rather. It seems that after all this time she might have moved on from her more past obsessions with you. Now she can’t stop talking about wanting to “beat” me. Good god, what kind of woman she must be. I might worry more about someone going around and threatening the beat on people if she had a better reputation. But this one is known for other reasons. So for that reason, Dr. Nova, I would like to proclaim us as safe.
 
Tarah: But why Cailin? Why would Haruna feel the need to go to these lengths against you.
 
Cailin: A great question. I should expect none less from the great Dr. Nova. It doesn’t take a genius to see that she is trying to twist a narrative that exists only inside of her head. She believes if she can get someone else on her side, believing her, then she can make some sort of an impact no matter whether it’s true or just a good bit of storytelling. Seems it’s worked, too. Even while she pushes him away she’s got that old fellow Mexican Samurai completely wrapped around her finger. I’d even go as far as to guess he would take a bullet and lay down his life for the woman, only to watch her scurry away nervously and awkwardly without knowing what she should have said. I’ll give them this, though, the two of them do know how to beat up on each other in the spirit of improving or something like that. As you know, Dr. Nova, Haruna is always trying her best to making herself proud.
 
Tarah: Oh that’s right. Didn’t they used to refer to her as the pride or something of that measure? Oh, yes. I remember now she was the pride even back when I was beating her in the ring.
 
Cailin: Now, now… that’s a completely different case. Let’s not get off track here. It’s easy to see that Haruna wants me to believe I should be afraid of her. But I’m not afraid of a dreamer. We all have dreams, after all. I guess she believes hers are destined to come true. But how often does that really happen, huh Dr. Nova.
 
Tarah: Well the exact percentage is —
 
Cailin: You see I have goals, as I’m sure she does, too. But I have had a habit of achieving goals throughout my time as one of her peers — if we can be called that. I think that what she’ll find out is I have set some new goals and I’m quite good at achieving these no matter how big or small. Especially when my mind shifts to a new set of goals entirely. They’ve always said it had something to do my intellect and ability to solve almost anything from crime to riddle to even the crossword puzzles. By the way you missed number five across: it’s applebottomjeans.
 
Tarah: Ah, of course.
 
Cailin: The truth is this has all to do with my drive. I’m constantly motivated to not only be one of the best, but the best. And I have done well at constantly improving to that point. I’ve worked so hard and done so well because of it, so it should not be a surprise that I’ve already got people watching to see what I do next. And with me calling this chapter a warpath and such, it’s created a fair amount of excitement. I would bet that the Vixens are going to be garnering a good deal of the excitement this month as we build towards Triple Threat. But there’s no reason why a few of the outsiders shouldn’t give everyone a good story to follow, too. Isn’t that right, Dr. Nova?
 
Tarah: Yeah… are we still doing this because you seemed like you were starting to break the character there?
 
The two laugh for a moment and then share a look before Tarah leaves Cailin to finish the scene.
 
Cailin: Listen Haruna, I know you’re digging up some old memories and trying to make sense of them, but that’s all they are. To be honest, it seems like ancient history by now. It seemed that way even before our first title fight, if I’m being completely honest. It’s true that I came here very green to what this world was. And you were the first to befriend me and sort of took me under your wing for a period. You challenged me early on to fight my way out of The Iconomy if it wasn’t something I liked. I was stubborn, but eventually I got myself out of that bad place. And you and I were clearly the favorites to carry the banner of the Specialist title when it first came about. There was the more veteran Haruna Sakazaki who was ready to finally win a title, and the rookie Cailin Dillon who was starting to catch fire. So it should have never been a surprise to anyone that those first three titles matches featured not only the two of us, but one of us coming out the winner each time. Of course it has to be said that there was a turning point in there. It happened when I defeated you for the title, and then beat you again when you cashed in your rematch clause. I think you knew then that I was about to go on this whirlwind path of destruction. I could see it in your eyes after that match. You knew your missed opportunity meant I was about to tear through the roster. It’s because you still knew me, maybe better than anyone else. And in your mind, only you could beat me for that title. I know that’s why you’ve reacted the way you have about the Grand Rampage match. You made it clear that week that if anyone was going to beat me and win that title, it would be you. You didn’t really beat me like you hoped to, but you came close to winning the title. At the same time, the match was marred in equal disappointment for you. You didn’t get to eliminate me and then you got made to look like a fool by an accidental early celebration. It was a misstep for you in a big moment, and I’m sure it brought back a lot of horrible memories. But memories of me aren’t the ones it should be bringing back.
 
Cailin: You are thinking about me this week as something other than an opponent because that’s just the kind of person you are. As much as you claim to have trust issues with all the Vixens, you care very much about what’s going on with a few of them. There are some of us you follow much closer than any others. I just happen to be one of those. So while it’s true that we once went to the tropics together on a vacation as friends, and I gave you a birthday gift as a friend, it was never meant to go beyond what it was. You were just a girl with a long distance girlfriend, trying to fall in love with a girl who was in a vulnerable place and feeling alone. But I don’t feel alone anymore and I’ve come a long way since that time. My point is, I tend to feel like I have grown during this time and we keep coming back to you hanging on to these same moments. I can’t help but wonder why? Is it because you feel like you were betrayed by me just as much as you were by Stephanie when the Sexy Curry fiasco went down? As much as you like to mention your side of that history and make me seem like the bad person, you’re the one who asked me to do the unforgivable things that landed you as a single woman for a time. And now you’re where you’re at now, still thumping that journal and opening it back up to explain your side of events. I don’t feel the need to linger in the past like that. My eyes are on the present and the future. Anything that happened back then was a learning experience. It was a chance to grow and become a better fighter, and you can’t argue that I didn’t do that. I’ve become one of the best workers in that ring, I’ve added new moves to my repertoire and I continue to improve each and every day.
 
Cailin: This isn’t to say that you haven’t improved in some ways along the way, just to that they haven’t been as noticeable to other people. It can’t be ignored that you have a winning streak in one on one matches with the new Specialist Champion. You have had her number for whatever reason. Maybe it’s your drive to give her a big dose of karma. Or maybe you’ve just been better than her on two nights. But what you have hanging over your head right now is something you don’t want. Even though you had owned her in one on one competition, you couldn’t beat her when it came down to you two at Grand Rampage. The frustration that you must have. And I imagine you think you will channel that all out on me, expecting me to be some scared, insecure little girl that doesn’t know how to deal with my feelings. Your problem there is I haven’t shown that this week. I haven’t whimpered or cowered down and tried to take a back seat to you and what you want to do in this match and beyond. I’ve risen to the occasion like I always seem to do and I’ve led you at every turn. I’ve forced you into a corner and made you rethink your strategy for this match. I’m seeing you try to go to places you haven’t quite before. I have seen you trying to do what I’ve been doing in a way. And I see you trying to debunk the claims I make about you with swing and miss after swing and miss. IT cannot be denied that you have gone to great lengths to improve yourself by training with the Mexican Samurai. But it can almost assuredly not be denied that you are still very much the same fighter that lost the title to me back in December. You are standing at the edge of a plateau and hoping that you will see some sort in incline to the next level open up. But when you look out, all you see is the edge of the cliff in front of you and the long way you have to fall to the bottom. It’s frightening to you because you know if you ever fell, that’d be it. In your mind, you think you would never be able to recover if you fell off that edge. There is just a hint of desperation from you. And while it makes you dangerous, the opponent you have this week puts you in an overwhelming situation.
 
Cailin: Yes, it’s true that I’m not unbeatable. I never pretended to be invincible, not once in my career. But I have derailed others at times when they have seemed as much. If you followed me as well as you say, you would no I’ve lost often enough when not in a title match. I’ve been put in big situations and come up empty, just like you. Everyone experiences highs and lows in their life, but it’s all about how you recover from these moments and how you react. I have reacted better than most. Every loss to the Heart Break Gal became a positive in the long term. Because when I did beat her, it made it that much sweeter. Keep in mind, Haruna, that when I didn’t beat HBG I didn’t just make her take a loss. It was a title match. She lost her chance to win a title, and she lost her and Y2Impact’s claim to Hexa-gun. When Eris LeCava was looking unstoppable, I rose to the occasion and beat her. Yes I’m coming off a loss and yes I’m no longer a champion. But these aren’t reasons to give up. They are reasons to recommit myself to the goals that I placed in front of me long ago. I’m not about to quit because a few things went wrong, and you’re not about to see a broken down and worthless version of Cailin Dillon at Battleground. You will see the girl I told you to expect all week. I will enter Monday’s match ready for a battle and I will leave victorious with my path set for an all-out war involving that Specialist’s Championship. Enough about the books and the chapters I’m going to write. They’re going to be written whether you like your role in them or not. One loss doesn’t make an entire career. It doesn’t destroy a legacy. I haven’t been derailed, not by a long shot. This train is still on the tracks and it’s still traveling at a break neck speed that few can keep up with. This train is about to come right through you at Battleground. It will make me saying I’m going on a warpath seem timid. It will be your destruction. And you can write that in your journal. Another memory for you to keep forever.

[size=13]Talking trash and borderline overconfidence certainly has its drawbacks, but it doesn't come without its perks; to willingly put yourself under the microscope of fans that want to demean you, that want to criticize you, not to mention media which will scrutinize and second-guess you at every opportunity, that puts a massive weight on your shoulders that makes lesser men crumble under its might... But the truly great among us have all carried that burden, and not only have they silenced critics and turned skeptics into believers, they've propelled themselves to success knowing that if they don't achieve it, all of their failures will be on the front page of legitimate newspapers and tabloids alike. By voluntarily putting yourself into that position with a brash attitude, by drawing attention to yourself and giving the fans a reason to anxiously await the moment your shortcomings are exposed, you're giving yourself extra motivation; you're giving yourself incentive to be on your toes, wrestle a match worthy of your jaunty words. There's nothing quite like the adrenaline of competing under that magnifying glass, and it's a job I've done quite well; but through the plethora of questions that surround Nemesis his apparent inability to perform under pressure and respond to the gravity of a situation might be the most pressing. I mean, for committing "rookie mistakes," I've beaten some of the best this company has to offer in the last month. What's Nemesis record in that span? Fortune hasn't fallen in favor of Nemesis since your inception but you’ve only just returned; You’ve consistently managed to be on the losing side and it's almost as though failing your every difficult endeavor is systematically integrated into you as a wrestler, either that or, worse, an inherent part of who you truly are -- loser. The fact of the matter is that my losses have been few and far between since I made aligned myself with Crash in this company almost two months ago, they've been a handful or less of exceptions to an otherwise sterling comeback in which I've beaten current World Champions, other legends, and newcomers alike. Physically, I feel healthier right now that I have at any point in my career; maybe that's a result of the insanely rigorous conditioning I've put my body through, maybe it's because I'm the body of Omerta and its members are my limbs, each unable to function effectively without one another, or maybe it's both; but let's take off the blinders and start acknowledging the truth: No opposition in this match is capable of severing my limbs, they're not capable of defeating a loudmouth showman like Scott Oasis who frustrates you inside that ring as much he does on the microphone, they can't handle the unbridled ferocity and the tenaciousness of Brody Sparks, they've even understand  they can't compare to the wits nor measure up to the fiery passion of the Zack Crash, and they can't thwart, subdue, or outsize the talent in the group, they can't inspire the level of fear and terror in their adversaries that Omerta can as a unit! It doesn't necessarily matter that any of you claim to be uncrowned victors of this match; you could be the some unnoticed talent and truly bring one hell of a fight but this sport is not just a battle of physicality but also a battle of wits and needless to say many of you are as dumb as a rock. You must be wondering why I brought up Omerta as I did and allow me to explain, you see, I wasn’t selected to be in the most dominant group on Dynasty for no reason.. Maybe the most significant difference between all of you and myself isn't necessarily in our philosophies, but their complete and utter lack of anything even remotely resembling a real plan to effectively execute their mission. Angelo has made a science out of crumbling under pressure, and has shown absolutely nothing to indicate he can handle the big fight limelight, he has seen himself get repeatedly outmatched and outdone by myself from virtually every angle regardless of the tandem he’s put forth. What sort of tact or skill does he possess that I'm unable to see? Oh, I forgot -- I see perfectly fine, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and Angelo has deluded himself into believing he’s the opposite of what all his peers and every wrestling fan recognizes them as: A capable, competent man who doesn’t excuse his losses and succeed more than he has failed. What can I say? That's the difference between children playing in their treehouse and armored soldiers lodged inside of an impenetrable fortress.


Ironic, really, that Levian Krown behaves like an immature adolescent and wants to prance around daring to call himself a man. There's such a thin line between reaching a "mutual understanding" and simply following someone else’s lead like a lapdog because they're the more established wrestler and you see them as your meal ticket to stardom. To know that everyone is betting against you and you're helpless to prevent yourself from looking like a fool who bit off more than he could chew, how does that feel, Levian? I'll go out on a limb and make the assumption that you'll claim you thrive in a situation where everyone is doubting you, that you live for moments like these, that you're agonizing in anticipation as Dynasty nears because you have a trump card nobody else knows about, and this unknown is going to propel you to victory. Good luck trying, but the excess of loopholes in your logic makes the fans unconvinced, I'd guess not even you believe your words or have any faith in your abilities; - to be quite honest I haven't even considered the prospect of outwitting you or scheming my way to victory because I know for certain it won't be required -- but as your time here begins after this match the losses will pile up and your promises remain empty, who's to say Levian won't meet an untimely demise? I can't imagine anyone who has ever won anything has been content with mediocrity; the competitors within us all seek excellence, and in your short-lived tenure, Levian has been anything but. First and foremost, I want you to understand that there are no weak links in this match; everyone has talent but only one man will walk out.  I'm evidently a broken man, but apparently the way I approach this match makes me a low-grade wrestler according to all of you... Yet Angelo conveniently neglects to mention he has never beaten me in any setting. Does that not count for anything? With the way you flip-flop from A to B, At this point everyone in this match can all come at me and I promise I will fight each and everyone of you until there are no more air in my lungs, and everyone in attendance in Chicago can be first-hand witnesses to all of your plans unraveling right before their very eyes as I vanquish them inside that ring, destroy their dreams, stomp on their pride, and rob their dignity.

At the beginning of this week, I had a list sent to me and I have to be honest. I didn’t blink. I didn’t cower and I didn’t start making plans for the worst-case scenario. The one thing that has remained the same for me this week, the constant feeling, is the utmost confidence that I will both walk into Grand Rampage as the champion and walk back out as the Specialist’s Champion. I’ve heard from the other Vixens as they pled their case, but none of them have said anything lasting. None of them have made me feel like I’m any closer to losing this title. They all think they will take this from me because the numbers game is too much to overcome. For some it seems like this is more about making sure I’m somehow no longer this champion than it is winning it for themselves. So many with something to prove to the masses. One champion proving exactly why she is champion now and why she won’t be losing it anytime soon.
 
There are those that would say Heart Break Gal has the best chance to win this, even though she is admittedly dealt a pretty sorry hand. She has to prepare for 50 different opponents this weekend, seeing time in both matches alike. For some time HBG seemed like a hurdle that got higher every time I approached. I think that she even felt the same way. I never stopped believing I could beat the biggest legend that hangs her boots in the Vixens’ lockers. And my desire to overcome is what eventually won out. I never suspected it wouldn’t. Even HBG experienced just what it’s like to think she’d had this title won. And then she was struggling up until the very last moment. She couldn’t deal with it anymore and she had to tap. She knows that our story could have concluded with that match and she also knows I will never turn down a rematch with her. A one-on-one match with HBG could be even bigger than it was before. But for now, this is about the Grand Rampage. And Claudia will see the same Cailin that dealt her a loss at Reckless Wiring. The loss that ended her alliance with Hexa-gun.
 
I have as much history with Haruna Sakazaki, as complicated as it was. She befriended me early on, even during the complicated trials I dealt with via The Iconomy. She was the first person I told of my plans to leave the group and an early fan of mine. She had two wins over me early on in my career here, but then the tides turned very suddenly. I beat her one-on-one in back-to-back title matches. She started to fade to the back and I continued to rise. She thinks she has been on the comeback trail and building a head of steam because she’s won a handful of matches by cheating. In reality, it’s all in her head. It’s an illusion her man has created. Come this weekend, I will show that she still has a ways to go if she hopes to reclaim the glory she thinks she deserves. But while she thinks she will be earning this title back, she will instead be leaving Notre Dame crying more tears than their football fans. Just another missed opportunity.
 
My relationship with Stephanie is well documented, but let’s not get it twisted. She and I have both made it clear that we plan on doing what it takes to win. You will see us go at each other’s throats when the time comes, if necessary. I think Steph has something she wants to prove to the world and to me. I put her through a table once, and now she looks to show that was a fluke. She wants to show me how far she’s come since that time. But she will she I have gone just as far, if not further. I’ve been fighting my way though main-eventesque matches, my mettle tested on a regular basis. There is no personal grief between us, and I wouldn’t suspect this match to be the origination of such. But I won’t hesitate for a second to eliminate her from this match.
 
Angela Salvetti has had herself a shot at this title before. She came out talking about her cousin and how she was trying to distance herself from that link. She was going to be her own fighter. But consistency is the missing ingredient for Ms. Salvetti. She has yet to show she can stick around long enough to accomplish what needs to be done. She has been here and then there, gone completely, and then back again. Meanwhile, I have beaten her and continued on the path that brought me to this point as a champion. Nothing changes in this match.
 
I’ve heard plenty from both Azumi Goto and Erica Ford about how they will win this match. Erica has delivered an almost painstaking eulogy of her own career, reminding us of all her short comings and of the fact that she indeed still exists in EAW. Of course we all knew that. She had already flocked on to her next tag team with Azumi. That’s just where she’s always been better. There’s nothing wrong with being better as a team than on your own… if you want to be a tag team champion. But she still has yet to show she can accomplish what it takes to be a singles champion. Azumi is no different. She might have even further to go actually. She tells she came here with high expectations… really? I don’t remember the palpable buzz that apparently surrounded you. Maybe one day you will be a big champion for this company. But the road to that point will be long and traveled with few achievements. Your best bet seems to be alongside Erica, personally. Maybe you want to show you can do it on your own. This won’t be the match where you accomplish that.
 
Brody Sparks did have a bit more buzz behind her, but she hasn’t accomplished all that much. She’s shown she is crazy. She has a lot spunk, but she doesn’t bring it to the ring. And then this week, she’s barely said a word. I don’t see her making the big moves in this match. She barely seems a threat. She will be taken as seriously as the rest, and I will fight endlessly no matter the person.
 
Speaking of barely saying a word… Veena and Silence… where y’all at. When I defeated Silence last I thought Veena was trying to make a statement when she cheap shotted me with my title. But low and behold, she took the high road and the voice of her friend. She went silent, and so did Kyra. These two are all talk and no action. They tell us what they plan to do and all that they will bring, but in the end they both always come up short. You both had a shot at this title once before and you both lost. This will be no different. Don’t get your hopes up ladies.
 
I was glad to see Alexis woke up this week. I appreciate the respect, but I can hardly say it’s mutual. You attacked my friend Tarah for no damn reason during the Vixen’s Cup. You and those other freaks brutalized her to make a point to no one in particular. Madison took your place in the Sanatorium. And now you’re the lap dog to the top girl in your own man’s group. How that must feel… But I guess we know you won’t be around here long enough to let us know what your opinion of it is. For all I care, you can be the first-person to leave this match. You might have snuck your way into the Vixen’s title picture for god knows why, but you might be the least deserving person in this match.
 
This will be an exciting showcase of Vixen talent, and I wish you all the best of luck, except for when it comes time for you to focus those attacks on me. But luck is what you might need on your side in the end of this match. I’m coming in ready to enhance my legacy as the Specialist Champion. They said it couldn’t be done when this match was announced. There was no way in hell Cailin Dillon could face down this many Vixens and survive. They were wrong. Not only will I survive this test. I will thrive. And by the end of this match I will still be the Specialist Champion. The want to see it come to an end this weekend, but the reign will live on. I’m coming into this match to win, and I won’t let anything stop me.

The scene begins with an overview of a dark room. The only source of light is coming from the window on the side that is showcasing the beautiful bright moon. Eris is shown sitting in the middle of the floor as she has an action figure in front of her.
 
Eris: God, I’ve searched high and low for this baby! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve seen my precious figurines. Well, HBG did tell me to store them away and to never see them again but right now I just need someone to talk to. Someone to hear my pain, my dreams, my aspirations and frustrations. HBG is too busy since she has a heavy load on her shoulders. (Eris looks down at the action figure.) Oh, but I’m fine. This is all I need. (Eris takes the action figure and puts the doll in a sitting position on top of a cardboard box.) Sometimes, I feel that you don’t listen to me all that well.
 
She pokes the head of the toy, which happens to be a one of a kind Maddie action figure from her earlier days in EAW.
 
Eris: You look so innocent, kind and humble here. As if you don’t have a care in the world. (Eris caresses her plastic hair.) You were fearless and you welcomed everyone and anyone into your world with open arms. Back then, you were vulnerable. You let your guard down in order to provide the best experience for your fans. You wanted the EAW universe to know who you were and what you had to offer to the table. Everyone could see your giddy, kind personality. Even your ring attire put a smile on people’s faces. So colorful, so full of life. It was like witnessing a person being born again. A person that has a positive outlook in life. It was inspirational. I was your biggest fan. Was.
 
Eris takes another doll, which happens to be a barely released Madison Kaline action figure, The Sanatorium edition. Eris places the two action figures side by side.
 
Eris: Look at you. This isn’t you! This isn’t the girl you were supposed to evolve in. This is a false representation of you. I know that deep down inside, the Maddie that we all grew to live in still in there. Somehow, someway you will come out soon. It doesn’t matter if I have to drag you by your hair, everyone will see your true colors soon. I’m beginning to think whether this first version of you is the original piece. Is it legitimate? Or did you just put on a show for people so the real you, the you that no one knows would never dare to peep out. Who are you, really? Why are you like a chameleon, being able to change your ways without it conflicting your morals or anything like that? How can an individual just change overnight? To me, that sounds crazy even for me. I don’t understand as to why this is affecting me so much. Are you just trying to get in my head and fuck with the way I’m perceiving things?! And yet you still have the audacity to call me fake. To call this courage that I have just bogus bravado. You insult my looks and my reign, you insult every quality about me. You think you can easily dethrone me? You think this is going to be a cake walk, Maddie? You think our match is going to be something you’re going to be able to walk out from? Oh no, dear. You’re not going to be able to even communicate with your Sanatorium mongrels after I’m done with you. If there’s one thing I’m certain about it’s that you’re not going to be able to stand up once that bell rings signaling that our battle is over. And for the god damn five-hundredth time! I am NOT jealous of you! Never will I ever be jealous of an incorrigible loafer who soils her fucking mattresses at the age of 35! You are the worst thing this division has ever seen. YOU ARE THE EPITOMY OF A COMA-ENDUCING IGNORANT MORON! YOU ARE AN ANTI-CLIMATIC MELODRAMA OF AN DULL, UNEVENTFUL LIFE. FUUCK!
 
Eris throws the doll on the floor and begins to stomp on it repeatedly.
 
Eris: YOU MADE ME DO THIS! COME ON, MADDIE! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO, HUH? YOU THINK YOU’RE BETTER THAN ME? YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME UP THIS EASILY? THIS IS A REPRESENTATION OF WHAT I’M GOING TO DO TO YOU TOMORROW. THIS ISONLY A PREVIEW OF THE PENT UP RAGE THAT I HAVE AGAINST YOU. I HAVE NO PITY FOR YOU, MADDIE. I. WILL. BREAK. YOU.
 
Eris quickly composes herself as she breathes heavily. Eris grabs the damaged doll and puts her in a sitting position on the cardboard box.
 
As the day goes by my frustration towards you grows exponentially. Even though people perceive me as a crazy, bipolar individual, I still manage to take what people have to say into consideration. I can choose whether they will affect me or not, but I will still make the effort to analyze what a person has said and take it as a reflection on myself as an individual. I’d like to say I’m a pretty considerate person despite my obvious flaws. Another reason as to why I’m one phenomenal, fantastic, legendary champion! You, however, are everything BUT that. I can’t believe that after everything that I’ve said, after everything I’ve done around here you still continue to say the SAME DAMN THING. The same damn thing! The same damn muthafuckin’ thing! I’m ready to pull out my fucking hair because you’re so stupid. Your stupidity continues to grow as the weeks go by. Honestly, I thought by now you would’ve learned a little something by now. Look at me, I’m a classy, controlled individual who knows how to compose herself in an efficient manner. I know how to talk to people, I know how to act under pressure. I-I mean look at me right now! I’m fine! I’m cool! I’m calm and collective! I’m ready for tomorrow night. I’ve been training night and day for this match because I know it’s going to be one of the hardest brawls I’ve ever participated in. The odds don’t look like they’re in favor simply because you have more people in your corner than I do. Well, at least that’s what you’re thinking, right? You think that by having the Sanatorium in your corner that it’ll somehow strike fear into my heart. You couldn’t be more wrong, Maddie. I welcome the challenge. I welcome the frustration. I welcome the craziness! I am Eris LeCava! I AM ERIS LECAVA. I AM THE DEFINITION OF CRAZY AND UNPREDICTABLE! DO YOU HAVE THE SLIGHEST IDEA AS TO WHO YOU’RE FACING? DO YOU KNOW WHAT I’M MADE OUT OF? DO YOU KNOW WHAT I’M WILLING TO DO IN ORDER TO KEEP THIS CHAMPIONSHIP FROM ME?! No, you don’t. You don’t know anything. You don’t have the slightest idea. You’re going into this match blind. Blinded by your ignorance. The ignorance that continues to stop you from achieving real success. The ignorance is a barrier for you, Maddie. Dark Demon victories in this world may count a hell of a whole lot but still the matter of fact I've been in this company not even six months and I'm reaching opportunities to go against veterans in this company like yourself and many others that are coming from HRDO, Ashten Cross and the EAW executives like there is no tomorrow. Even this past Monday on Battleground when I went against Carlos Russo for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship, I may have faded away and lost the match but I made a point to the world that I can hang with the big boys and prove a point that I will wrestle until I physically aren't able to continue and I proved that by fading away against Carlos. I may not be proud of the loss but I am proud he took me to my limit. Dark Demon I have a lot of respect for you inside and outside of the ring and don't get me wrong I would love to see us in the same ring at the same time this coming weekend but you are acting like I'm going to get eliminated within five minutes. I don't think so, I am ready to last thirty minutes....to an hour....I don't care how long I am out there the bottom line is I will not let this opportunity fall through my hands and my Pain for Pride 9 plans get ruined. You maybe right about this being my first Grand Rampage, do I have a good chance of winning? Probably not since I have little experience but you never know what entrant I may draw, the term people always use in this business is never say never and the same goes for you this coming weekend. Why was my time? If I don't win this weekend I get more experience for next year and I learn more about being in the squared circle to benefit myself going forward on Voltage toward Pain for Pride season. You may have held multiple world championships, main evented free per views, and held the Hall of Fame championship but when was the time you were in the squared circle? Reasonable Doubt? Against Xavier Williams? Remember when Reasonable Doubt went off the air and you lost the Hell in a Cell match for the Hall of Fame Championship and your arm got broken? Well I have a bold prediction for this weekend and that is Grand Rampage will go off the air with Lucas Johnson standing tall with you having another broken arm and heading back to the injured list.

Oh Liam Catterson when will you ever learn? You and myself have add this little rivalry going for some weeks now that has been brewing on Voltage and will be brought up this weekend once again on Grand Rampage. Liam you remind me of the bullies I dealt with back in middle school...I remember I was in seventh grade and I had yet to hit puberty. I was a short little chubby kid and I didn't grow yet in height and I would love to watch sports with my father and my favorite sport was baseball. So during gym class I would always play in the outfield and my idol would be Bernie Williams that played for the New York Yankees back in the early 2000s. I might have been an okay outfielder but I absolutely sucked in the outfield and I would be picked on each and every day for it. I would be called fat and many different versions of that, I would even be shoved out of the way to catch a ball. Summer of seventh grade going into eighth grade I got taller and decided next year was the year I got rid of the bully problem, all my life I was a wrestling fan and wanted peruse in high school wrestling. I started with the easy steps in losing weight by going to the local track and running laps around the track every day, by August of that summer I took private wrestling lessons so I went into eighth grade I was able to try out for the wrestling team. So it all started from there Liam and now here you are today trying to claim I don't deserve to belong here. I don't deserve to be in the Grand Rampage match? Let me tell you this Liam Catterson, I busted my ass each and every week just to make it here in this business and this weekend you will see a different side of Lucas Johnson you have never seen before. I'll just say this, hopefully you aren't in my way because a big storm is coming to the land of the elite....

 

Carlos: DOES ANYONE DOUBT THAT I AM ONE OF THE MOST GIFTED PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES ON EARTH NOW!? I just went out there and beat your EAW Champion and your “Challenger” to my Championship at Grand Rampage. Easily. Furthermore, I humiliated Lioncross. I showed him what a true piledriver is like. You noticed that he didn’t just get back up, didn’t he? He laid there on the floor, limp as a cold fish about to be sold at a marketplace! Are you impressed enough now?

(Carlos takes a moment to collect his thoughts before pointing at the CWF Championship belt laying on the floor.)


Carlos: That title means nothing without me. If I am to lose it, it may as well cease to exist. Chris Elite. Stephanie Matsuda. Piff Fumador. Lucas Johnson. These names don’t excite me. These names in fact BORE me. I didn’t resurrect the crown jewel of my career to be handed appetizers. I needed something to sink my teeth into. I’ll be honest. I wanted someone else to stand where Lioncross is standing right now. I wanted Heart Break Boy but he retired. I wanted Dark Demon but he had pressing business elsewhere. Mexican Samurai would be a welcome challenger but he has a belt and is challenging for another. Lioncross is what I have to make due with to amuse myself with at the Grand Rampage. So be it. I’m going to humiliate and torture him on a global stage. And then, on that same stage, I will secure my place in the MAIN EVENT of Pain for Pride by winning the Grand Rampage. I’m sure you idiots have questions. Hurry up, I have a plane to catch to London! MAKE THIS SHIT SNAPPY!

(The interviewers murmur among themselves momentarily before one of them, a young blonde reporter stands up and begins to speak.)

Interviewer #1: You seem very confident that you will be going to Grand Rampage as the CWF World Heavyweight Champion, you still have a match to go against Lucas Johnson on Battleground. Don’t you think that maybe even in your mind Lucas Johnson may present more challenges than you give him credit?

(Carlos glares at the reporter for a moment before answering. His voice is low, calm and even.)


Carlos: I don’t underestimate or overestimate him. Lucas Johnson is not a total lost cause. He can wrestle and I know that he is hungry for a big win. The fact of the matter is though that I don’t care about that. I have somewhere to be in South Bend, Indiana next weekend and guess what? If I have to trample an NCAA Wrestling Champion to get there, I’m going to trample an NCAA Wrestling Champion. He knows what he’s stepping into…I think and hope so anyway. He’s the one who ran his mouth off after seeing me pick apart every single person who has come up to challenge me for that belt. Does he truly believe that his “attempts” and “willingness to give his all” are really going to mean shit against me? Ask Stephanie Matsuda how that pie-in-the-sky bullshit worked for her. It didn’t. It didn’t get her one step of the way. He, I’m sure, will have already failed in his attempt to win the EAW Pure title and his string of failures will not end with me. In fact, I’m promising the absolute worst and most embarrassing loss of his career to date. I will torture him slowly. People are going to believe that being hung, drawn, and quartered is making a comeback in London with the severity of the beating that he’s going to take. For now, though, I’ll let him and people like you believe that he is capable of doing anything other than offering me a casual warmup before my contest with Lioncross.

(Another reporter begins to speak up in Japanese with Mao shaking her head with a worried expression before Carlos grabs a water bottle and launches it towards the guy’s face.)

Carlos: BAKAYARO! WE ARE IN AMERICA! SPEAK ENGLISH, YOU LAZY FUCKER!

(The reporter bows deeply, his shirt wet from the water splashing onto his shirt.)

Interviewer #2: I’m sorry…. Lioncross has…many criticisms about you. How does that make you feel?
Carlos: I don’t give a fuck what criticisms he has for me. Honestly, when you look at wrestlers who have had longevity, who have been GREAT champions across the world, does LIONCROSS flash as a name that actually means anything to our sport? Really? What did he ever do besides lucking his way to a CWF World Heavyweight Championship? If this were someone with half a brain, someone like Tony Rolland or GI Styles or Jaywalker, even Impact despite the fact that I hate his stinking guts on principle alone…. I’d listen. I’d respect them. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t fight them or anything, but I do RESPECT them. Lioncross is just a blip on the Doppler radar of professional wrestling. You want to know what I am in comparison, a Category Five hurricane. A destructive force that has laid waste to organization after organization, tearing through anyone who dares to get in my way. So, to answer your stupid question, it makes me feel nothing when Lioncross criticizes me because I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO RESPECT FOR HIM AS A WRESTLER OR AS A HUMAN BEING. Next moron.

(A young plump redhead with an English accent begins to speak up when the other reporters are very slow to respond.)

Interviewer #3: Lioncross has pointed out that you were never the last official CWF World Heavyweight Champion anyway and that your claim to the title is an arrogant one and a farce. How do you respond to such statements?

(Carlos stares over the woman for a moment.)

Carlos: You know, I figured someone would bring that up.



(Bending down for a moment, he scoops the CWF World Heavyweight Championship off the floor and puts it back on his shoulder.)

Carlos: This belt is MY property. When I defeated Donovan T at the final Wrestling Classic, I became essentially the owner of all CWF materials, intellectual rights, so on and so forth. To keep a long story short, it doesn’t matter who the final champion was, I can do whatever I please. If I wanted to bring back the Dominas Championship and put it on the waist of my apparent apprentice Stephanie Matsuda, I’d do so. IF I wanted to bring back the CWF World Tag Team Championships and team with Mexican Samurai, nothing Lioncross could say or do would stop me from doing so. If I wanted to bring back the North American Championship and give some of the younger hungrier men on the Showdown roster something to fight for, I would do it. And there would not be a thing he could do about it. Regardless of how he feels about how I attained this belt, there will be NO dispute from anyone that I have defended this belt against anyone who has the testicular fortitude necessary to face me. They have all failed. Just like Lucas Johnson will fail in London and just how Lioncross will fail in South Bend.

Interviewer #4: Lioncross has made it known that his reason for fighting has nothing particularly to do with the title itself but with beating you up, for lack of better terms. He wants to seemingly end your career and cost you the Grand Rampage. With some of your actions in the last two months, is his stance not justified?

Carlos: His stance is justified as much as Santa Clause exists. I tried to be amicable. I tried to simply tell him to go away, that his presence was not required in EAW. But what does he do? He keeps coming back. He types on social media like he’s the millennial reincarnation of Forrest Gump. He throws out subtle jabs at me never telling you people what a degenerate and prick he first was when he broke into CWF in the first damn place. I beat up people he holds dear for sport. It’s funny to me. I’d do it again if I was offered the opportunity to do so.

Interviewer #5: You have done something unique in EAW history. You are a World Champion who has also decided to enter the Grand Rampage and have been granted entry. Doesn’t your entry in this match demean your own title and how do you plan on pacing yourself for such a grueling match especially when you have to face Lioncross beforehand, assuming you defeat Lucas Johnson Tuesday evening.

Carlos: No, it does not demean this. You know what it does? It amplifies it. The pressure, the desire to win, it amplifies everything. Not only do I carry the title of World Champion into Grand Rampage, I also carry a target on my back. You notice that there are a lot, A LOT, A LOT of wrestlers already talking about how they are going to win the grand rampage. Every year, it’s a never-fucking ending stream of bullshit from people who don’t know any better! I’ve learned over the years to cut out the chatter and focus my attention on people who actually can do some damage and the occasional few people that piss me off.

What’s that you say, you want me to handicap the field for you? You want me to tell you who I think actually could win this thing? El LANDERSON!

Kidding.

But let’s look over some of the participants, one by one shall we?

Y2Impact, the rechristened “machine”. I know this man incredibly well. He is one of the greatest of all time, I’m not even going to dispute it. He knows all about me, and believe me I know all about him. I’ve had some of my most draining, frustrating matches with him. I don’t like him but damn it all I respect him. He is one of the most viable candidates, especially if he is blessed with a late draw and can come into the fray completely fresh. An opponent that should be respected.

There’s Cameron Ella Ava, the lovely but deadly Vixens representative. Although I generally find myself rather bored by women wrestling in matches like these I’m not sure she can’t just win it. Brian Daniels among others has proven that you don’t have to be the biggest, strongest, or even the smartest individual to be one of the last ones standing at the end. All you have to do is be vicious enough, tough enough and lucky enough. She’s been doing her fair share of all of these things of late. I would not totally rule out her winning this thing and making a big splash.

Dark Demon, of course, who I see has not failed to provide his usual inaccuracy or two. I think he said something recently about someone tying the record of Vic Vendetta and myself for failed title opportunities or something in EAW. Something to that effect was said. Funny thing is, whenever I have had straight up 1-vs-1 matches with someone for a title I win them more often than not. The only WORLD Championship opportunity I was ever actually granted was in an Elimination Chamber match. I don’t have to tell you people that shit can happen in those matches that can’t be predicted. That said, another person who I have to take seriously.

Sure, there’s others like JJ Silva (laughs)…Oh, that one. Always standing in the shadow of someone, isn’t he? First he couldn’t get anything but second fiddle in the worst EAW faction of all time, the Iconomy. Now he’s Crash’s towelboy and Scott Oasis, the Charisma Vacuum himself, he’s Oasis’s personal fluffer. Those of you who are unaware of what that means I’ll explain later in the airport lounge before my flight.

Lucian Black…ugh. Big strong guy. Tough as a rock, but also dumber than a rock. He could be a factor, but then again he could not be. There’s another guy involved too. Some Russian person who’s name I can’t pronounce. I think I’ve wrestled him once or twice but honestly he’s forgettable and bland as a McDonalds burger. I mean, you eat it, you shit it out, but at the end of the day it wasn’t anything special to you. I have no strong feelings of disdain or anything when I think of the possibility of facing him.

There is one name above all others that is in this field that I am really, REALLY looking forward to seeing again. This person ROBBED me of my most crucial moment, my Pain for Pride moment. Jamie O’Hara. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve crossed paths with him. We were battling in London last year. I was literally inches from being the man who held all of EAW in the palm of his hand. And he took it all away from me. Do any of you know how satisfying that would be for me to return the favor to him? To make him pay for what he’s done? To HUMILIATE AND TAKE FROM HIM AS HE HUMILIATED AND TOOK FROM ME! THAT WOULD BE BETTER THAN SEX!

There are only about 10 or 11 people that I actually think will have a shot to win this thing and honestly I’m one of those 10 or 11 people. I have traveled down this road before. I have prepared for months for this moment.

Interviewer #5: What do you have to say to the competitors in the Grand Rampage and to the two men you will face in Singles Competition the week leading up to that moment?

Carlos: I think I’ve already covered that; you know? I said that I was going to beat the fuck out of Lucas Johnson, and I will. There is no disputing that at all. I will make him cry like a little girl on international television. And then, I’m going to catch a flight from London straight to Indiana to rest my body and prepare for what lies ahead. Lioncross does not concern me. He talks about carrying ME but in reality I have never needed anyone to carry me. Even my tag team partner of note, GI Styles, one of the greatest Champions that EAW has ever had on its roster, DID NOT CARRY ME! I want the people in the Grand Rampage to know something. I didn’t sign up for this competition to phone it in. I came to win and make history. Ever since I arrived on Showdown, I have yet to be beaten. Mexican Samurai couldn’t do it. Dark Demon couldn’t do it. Chris Elite and Piff Fumador damn sure couldn’t do it. LIONCROSS couldn’t’ do it. Once I make my debut on Battleground, in front of thousands of fans in the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, you are all going to understand even MORE why I am one of EAW’s most feared competitors. And believe me, they do fear me. Why do you think so many people who have spoken about the Grand Rampage mention my name? THEY MENTION IT BECAUSE IT IS THE NAME OF THE CWF WORLD CHAMPION, THE ONLY REAL WORLD CHAMPION THAT SHOWDOWN HAS! THEY KNOW, THAT SINCE 2007, THE NAME CARLOS ROSSO HAS BEEN SYNONYMOUS IN THIS SPORT WITH EXCELLENCE! I DON’T NEED A CRAPPY STABLE, CREEPY VIGNETTES, A BLAND, MECHANICAL PERSONA, MASKS, OR A PAIR OF TITS TO MAKE MY MARK IN THIS COMPANY OR ANYWHERE ELSE I’VE BEEN! MY HANDS, FEET, ELBOWS AND KNEES HAVE LEFT PLENTY OF MARKS AND BROKEN A LOT OF PEOPLE’S DREAMS!

Mao: We went into the Grand Rampage last year with a plan. We thought that we had a foolproof way of making sure that one of the two members of Dynamite Rain would be standing last. We trusted GI Styles…and he turned his back on us and eliminated us when everything was just within reach. This time, Carlos Rosso will go further than the final eight. He will go to the very top and take what belongs to him. Fatigue will not be a factor seeing he is the best conditioned athlete in the history of EAW. Strength and other measurable will not be factors either. Neither will his desire. Time after time, we have had to watch people younger, less talented, more connected with the front office become champion again and again and again. We watched them win tournaments, we’ve watched people win the Cash in the Vault, we’ve watched them win the Grand Rampage. THAT ENDS APRIL 30^th! Keep that date in your minds and on your hearts. Commit it to memory. Because that is the day that Carlos Rosso is going to destroy Lioncross then advance to the Battle Royal to END all Battle Royals.

Carlos: Lioncross and Victor Vendetta were made examples of tonight. The hapless one will be made an example of in London. And then, in South Bend, it will be time for everyone to go to school.

LESSON NUMBER ONE: ACCEPT THAT CARLOS ROSSO IS…. ICHIIIIIIIIBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.

(Abruptly cutting his press conference short, Carlos and Mao storm out of the makeshift press conference area, Carlos decking a reporter who is attempting to ask him another question.)

Carlos: No more questions, are you DEAF? ARE YOU STUPID? ARE YOU ANOTHER RELATIVE OF LIONCROSS THAT NEEDS TO BE BITCHSLAPPED!? Oh…. you work for Fox Sports. My bad.

Reckless Wiring Promo #5






Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016, 12:45 p.m.
 
The scene opens on a beautifully sunny day in Beverly Hills, California, outside the mansion estate of EAW's Self-Proclaimed Social Media Champion "Picture Perfect" Mark Michaels.  It's here that we find  a stretch limosuine pulling into the  Michaels standing besides his agent Johnny J.


Michaels: "When did they say the car was coming?"


Johnny: "It should have been here already, lets give them five more minutes."


Michaels: "You told them who I am right?  And how a man of my importance has a very tight schedule to keep this week, and how I am not going to have it thrown into disarray because they screwed up?"


A long moment passes in silence before the limo pulls into the driveway.


Michaels: "Finally, I was starting to think they'd never show up."


Michaels snaps his fingers, and almost instantaneously, T.J. Yoder steps out thru the front door carrying two luggage bags that about as large as he is.


Michaels: "Speed it up T.J., I have place to be."


T.J. struggles along with heavy luggage, and just barely manages to get the bags into the trunk of the limo.


Driver: "Shall I get the rest of the bags sir?"


Michaels: "Nah, the kid's got it."


Michaels snaps his fingers again.  T.J. lets out a long, weary sigh before rushing back inside to collect the rest of the luggage.


Johnny: "Okay now before we head out I want to ask, are you ready for Reckless Wiring?"


Michaels: "Hell yeah I am.  I can hardly wait to step in that ring, and claim my prize."


Johnny: "You sure nothing bothers you?"


Michaels: "Not a thing.  I'm in the best shape of my life, I've got a shit ton of momentum behind me, and I am more than thoroughly motivated for this one."


Johnny: "What about that it's a triple threat match?"


Michaels: "Johnny, just last week I owned in a triple threat match.  The week before that I won in a four way.  I've been in five man ladder matches, the Hell's Warpath match, and the Glass Gauntlet match The later two of which were more like human demolition derbies than wrestling matches, and all within my first eight months in the company. So regardless of how many opponents they throw at me, it won't matter, because more people in the ring, the more I shine baby."


Johnny: "And what about how they haven't yet announced who you're facing yet?"


Michaels: "Johnny do you really think I care who represents Voltage at Reckless Wiring?  The simple fact is I can beat whichever one of the seven dwarfs they decide to toss out this Saturday Night."


Johnny: "Even that Phoenix Winterborn guy?  Word on the street is that he's the front runner in the polls."


Michaels: "You mean the guy who likes to run his mouth in the middle of the night?  Yeah I'm ready for him.  Yes with a lot of the tools you need to go far in this business, but what he lacks is the mind to take him to the next level.  I mean how else would you describe talking shit about a man who's been mowing down motherfuckers one after another for the past month?  Does he really think he's not going to get his ass whipped the same way that so many others who've stepped in the ring with me have?    I'm not saying Phoenix isn't a great athlete s, but what it is saying is that I've dealt with better.  Men like Zack Crash and Tig Kelly, men who've actually accomplished something in this company.  I've stood toe to toe with them, and I've taken there best shots, and I am still standing tall, unlike some of the other men who have tried to do the same with these giants of the Sport.  He thinks he knows passion?  he thinks he knows fire?  If he ends up standing across from me in that ring, he'll see it in my eyes.  Then we'll see just who is really playing playing the role when deep down he knows he knows hes just a little bitch!  So let him come to the Sprint Center, and try to test me this Saturday.  I guarantee that I'm going to leave him laid out, staring up at the lights.


And before you even bother to ask, Yes I know Maxwell Dachs will be in town as well.  He's a desperate man, and that makes him a bit of a liability in this one for sure, but if he thinks for one single, solidtary, moment that I'm just going to let him take away everything that I've worked so hard for, than he better have a doctor surgically remove his head out of his ass!  Max wants to run around, and tell everyone who'll listen that he's a changed man, which is a shame.  Because at least he was mildly entertaining when he was making an ass out of himself.  Let me rephrase that, when he was Intentionally making an ass out himself.  Now the only thing that Dachs is good for, is to set the bar so low that we know where rock bottom is in this company.  Hell it's gotten so bad that Max is ready to call it a career by this Saturday, which should tell you what type of man he truly is.  He's not a guy who's found some new found inner strength, and is trying to atone for his sins.  No, far from it actually.  He's a pathetic worm who knows he's barely hanging on by thread, and he can't hang with the big boys of this company.  If  Max knew what was best for him, he wouldn't even bother catching a flight to Kansas City, Because if he does, hes going to get his ass kicked by the hottest, trending star in the sport of professional wrestling today.

March twenty sixth I will be the man who has his hand raised in triumph, not just over my opponents, but over the entire New Breed Division itself.  And I will once and for all show those half wits who sit on the board of directors, that Mark Michaels is not a man you can fuck over.  I made a vow to each and every one of my followers, that I was done waiting in line with the rest of the nobodies. Now is the time for me to start taking what I am owed for all my hard work.  Because only one man had the fan base to turn Dynasty from a mere brand, into a global phenomenon.  Only one man sold the fleet loads of merchandise to keep the company afloat after it was excommunicated from EAW.  And only One man is going to smash thru every last son of a bitch in his path, till he's good and satisfied.  That man is me, The Twitter Trend Setter, The Instagram Icon, The Hash Tag Hero to millions upon Millions of followers from every part of the globe.  Followers who have declared their unending support for me, by making me their undisputed Social Media Champion!  They know that I'm the total package of unmatched looks, charisma, and in ring skills, And that is what Makes me the Destiny of Dynasty.  That is what makes me the Brightest Burning Star that EAW will ever know.  And most importantly, that is what is going to make me the Next Elite Answers Wrestling New Breed Champion!  Nobody is going to be able to stop me from becoming so, not Maxwell Dachs, Not Phoenix Winterborn, not the board members!  And whether or not they believe me, come hell or high water they will Picture THAT!"


The camera zooms out slightly as T.J., out of breath,  walks past using all his might to try and drag four large suitcases towards the limo.


Michaels: "Bout time, what took you so long?"


Michaels walks out of the shot with Johnny following close behind.  Leaving T.J. alone with the bags.

The scene opens backstage at the Dynasty interview area. It's here, minutes before his scheduled triple threat match, that we see Mark Michaels (dressed in his red with white trim ring gear, matching ring vest, and his favorite pair of gold rimmed Gucci aviator sunglasses) with an intense look on his face, and a microphone in his hand.

Michaels: "It has been four long weeks since I was robbed of my shot at the New Breed Championship at Rising Tide. Four long weeks since the opportunity to wear gold around my waist, and add another title to my name, was snatched away from me, by men who deserve neither that title, nor any other. Men who can't inspire others the way I do. Men who aren't the ring general that I am. Men who much like the city Biloxi, Mississippi, are gigantic piles of mud that got shot out of a sick monkey's anus. Men like Dustin Brasch, and Kevin Hunter.

You know something Kevin, you would think that a guy who hasn't even remotely earned being in a number one contenders match, would keep his fucking mouth shut, and just be happy to be there. But not you Kev, you keep yammering on with shit like 'I'm gonna shatter you, I'm gonna bring chaos to the New Breed Devision, I like to play hide the hot dog with Chris and Simon' . No an asshole like you will only shut his trap, after its been stuffed with my fist. Let me ask you something, do you honestly think that the guy who can barely manage to get a win against a bottom feeder like Donny Diamond, can intimate the man who's taken the best shots from regulator, Tig Kelly, and Zack Crash? Hell it would take you and, the rest of your rainbow flag waving club, for me to even break a sweat. I know I am truly the picture of perfection, and after tonight, you're gonna know it too! So go ahead and give me your best shot,because under my gorgeous face, lays a titanium chin, and when you do make sure you're prepared to be knocked on your ass. Tonight Kevin, you're coming to get outclassed in every way imaginable. So consider it and honor to get a first hand look as to why I'm perfection in the ring.


And Dustin, it's been so good of you to lay down and take your beating like a man. No one here blames you for doing so, because every last man, woman, and child knows that in a straight match, you wouldn't stand a snowflakes chance in hell against me. But if you were hoping that you acting like a little bitch would spare you from an A-list ass kicking, you're dead wrong. See, you overstepped you boundaries, and tried to claim MY New Breed title match for yourself. Now I have to make an example out of your ass. The beating I'm going to give to you, is what every other over hyped, underdeveloped, bargain bin piece of trash, who thinks steal from me without paying the consequences is in store for.


After this triple threat match, people will think twice about screwing with Mark Michaels. Everyone in the locker room, and especially every last member of the board of directors. I refuse to be passed up, and shoved aside. I refuse to let pathetic worms, who aren't even worthy of kissing my feet, get rocketed to title matches. I am the man who made Dynasty what it is today, and I am coming for everything that my hard work has rightfully earned me. Because I am the Twitter trendsetter, the Instagram Icon, the hash tag hero to millions upon millions of followers from every corner of the globe. Followers, who already know that I am the biggest thing that this business will ever see, because I am the total package of in ring skill, amazing looks, and endless charisma. Those facts are make me the Destiny of Dynasty, the brightest burning star that EAW will ever know, and most importantly, the man who in due time will be the next EAW New Breed Champion! So Dustin Brasch, Kevin Hunter, John Conning, and all the rest of the haters out there better start Picturing That!"

With that Michaels tosses the microphone, and steps out of the shot towards the gorilla position.

FADE TO BLACK.

(Queens. Cloud and Cailin are walking through a cemetery on an usually warm March morning. They make their way towards a tombstone with the name "Michael Hunter" on it. Cailin slowly backs away as she gives the Sky Princess space to speak with her mentor.)

Cloud: (hands in pockets) I know it's cliché of me to say this, but it's been a long time since I've been here. I could juggle a baker's dozen of reasons why I haven't, but I think you know why. Or at least I think you do, if there's indeed a heaven and you're watching from above. If you really are watching, what do you think of my actions as of late? What do you think of the choices I have made?

(After a few minutes, Cloud shakes her head.)

Cloud: I just wanted to see you before I head off to Toronto. A lot of things are going to change, and I haven't the faintest idea of what the outcome is going to be. What I do know is that the fight for relevancy isn't over, senpai. I have to keep fighting, until something formulates before me. Something tangible...but not. something I can see...but can also feel. I don't know what that is yet, senpai. But when I do, I'll let you know.

(Cloud turns around, and starts walking away with Cailin in tow.)

Cailin: You okay Cloudy?

Cloud: Maybe. I don't know...I'll let you know when I do.

Cailin: Until you do, I'll be by your side bae.

Cloud: Thanks.

(Cloud takes Cailin's hand as the two head to the car.)


You guys had me worried for a moment there. After the second half of my little skit, everything went silent for a little while.

Until Silence spoke.

I'm happy to hear how excited you are about the possibility of us going at it once again. I don't remember the outcome myself, but I know we beat the living hell out of each other. A rematch is indeed long overdue. Tell Kyra I said hi by the way.

Sheridan. Sheridan, Sheridan, Sheridan. What am I to do with you? You're so obsessed with the idea of Cailin and I being the same person. Are you going to make out with another cardboard cutout? I'm into that sort of thing but I appreciate how much you care about my personal life. Sometimes you're just so damn adorable with your German Efficiency rants while waving those cute fists into the air. I'm so into that charming little  accent, that eventually I stop paying attention to what you're saying. I just want to adopt you and raise you as my own you're just so darn gosh kawai!! I want to buy little outfits to put on you. You can be Gretal and I'll be Hazel. I'll get you one of those teddy bear pajama outfits and we'll post it on instagram! Next time we see each other I'm gonna pinch those pink cheeks out of yours!

In case you haven't noticed I stopped taking you seriously.

Cam! How you doing over there? A little less bitter these days? No? Aww, too bad. I figured something was the matter when I heard you singing the same 'ol song over and over. Yes, we know you're a bad bitch. Yes, we know you held all of the titles in the gid damn universe. And yes, we know just how much you love to beat a dude's ass. Tell me something I don't know Cam. Come on, I dare you. If not, shut the fuck up and meet me at the finals.

Haruna Sakazaki. I grow tired of your personality. Your mere presence annoys me these days. That's a great word, mere. Just a mention, just a thought of your current existence offends me. Like the others, you sing the same 'ol song about Cai and I. You claimed you washed your hands of her, but the missed calls on Cailin's phone tells a different story. It's funny how she would rather be with someone who openly used her to get to her nemesis than someone who wants to love her from afar. Yeah Haru-chan I saw that text. You know why the former wins over tge latter? Because guts Haruna, that's why. I may have chickened out against Luzmala, but I own up to it. And soon, I'm going to do something about it. I have the guts to face my fears, admit to my mistakes. Eat, sleep, challenge, repeat. I did not forget my rhetoric ladies. Thing is Haruna, you have no guts. You have no spine. You think just because you're feuding with me all of the sudden you're Billie Jean Badass? I laugh at your bullshit bravado kiddo. Yes, I called you a kid Harry- I can call you Harry right? Didn't Cai used to call you that? Note that phrase...used to. Another example of how you're in the past. Just like Cam whose favorite word is was. Used To and Was for tag champs, 2016! 

You claim bravery, originality, and pride, but quite honestly before me you was never this motivated Harry. Nobody not even Cailin out this much fire under your ass. She's no longer your frenemy Haruna...I am. The more you force yourself away from the truth, the further you fall into my trap. Taking her was never the last piece of the puzzle...your Pride is. Yes, I'm capitalizing the p, your Pride Haruna. I would tell you I'm going to take it from you, but I already have. I own your freaking soul Haruna Sakazaki and you're too damn full of yourself to see the truth! I'm molding you as we speak. I'm giving you a reason to fight on, a reason for you to stay in EAW. You're nothing without me Harry. Don't fret though. We're going to reforge you into something tougher, colder. I'm going to lead you and this division to greatness. Eris, Tarah, HBG, Cam, and Maddie FAILED as champions. Why? Because the Vixens are still looked down upon. The division is still not taken seriously. After this weekend, that will all change. I will pick up the slack, kick LeCava off her fucking paper throne and hold the title, my- no OUR title high in the sky as its princess turned queen.

You're all too damn selfish to wear this heavy crown. I'll be the beast of burden for the task. Once you're all devoured, you can recreate yourselves into something new...something tougher.

If not, then get the fuck out my ring.
