This week on Sunday Night Voltage, it's Cody "A-List" Marshall taking on a bunch of white-bread vanilla midgets who do a hundred flips a night but never drew a dime!

Jon McAdams thought he'd get away with that cheap shot last weak, but this week it's payback time. See, it's real easy to act tough when you got backup and a weapon in your hand. What you did last week is not the mark of a man, Jon. It's the mark of a coward. You beat me, I'll give you that. Everyone has a lucky night from time to time, even a broken clock is right twice a day, and so on. But what you did after the match? That was some pussy ass bullshit right there. I'm gonna march into the U.S. Bank Arena in the wonderful state of Ohio with the strength of a thousand men! And you're gonna be damn sorry you ever messed with the A-Lister. It's gonna be a wrap for your career when I'm done with your sorry ass.

Ladies and gentlemen, what you're gonna see tomorrow night is sweet, sweet, revenge. I heard all of y'all supporting me last week and I'm carrying that energy with me now, it's coursing through my veins, brother! I can feel it in the air. Something absolutely astounding is gonna happen on Voltage. This match is gonna be a box office hit! Roll out the red carpet, Cincinnati, 'cause y'all are about to get a taste of the A-List!

I could stop there and I'd have covered everything that matters. But against my better judgement, I'm gonna say my piece on Mongoose McQueen. You know, Mongoose, there's a reason why your matches get cut from Voltage every week. It's 'cause you're a ratings killer and nobody fucking likes you. Every week you come out here with the same old, same old. You bitch about your position on the card, talk all this bullshit about how you're so far above whoever you're facing, throw out some weak-ass kindergarten insults, and then get your ass kicked. It's old news and it stopped being funny... well, it never was funny. You've always been an annoying son of a bitch. When your face comes on TV, people change the channel. You are the biggest waste of space on this Voltage roster. When you make your entrance, you come out to crickets because you put the goddamn audience to sleep. I'd rather watch paint dry than listen to your annoying, squeaky-ass voice or watch your lame flippy shit ever again.

Mongoose, buddy. You're not above any of us. You're a nobody. Shaker fucking Jones gets more airtime on Voltage than you do. Go back to NEO, kid. Maybe you'll put on a five-star classic with Ryan Wilson.

And yeah, I know it's not Mongoose, it's Moongoose. I just like seeing you get triggered. You're a real prima donna.

Oh, and Jon. You'll have to excuse me for not responding to your little shitshow earlier. Had some long days on set this week, been doing some promotional work for Bad Cops on the talk show circuit, autograph signings, the works. You may not know this, Jon, but an autograph signing is what you do for people who like you. I know people liking you is a foreign concept, Jon. Outside of Nightmare, everyone on this brand and everyone in the crowd hates you.

Hell, they don't like you either. Everyone knows Eclipse only recruited you so he could try to bone your girlfriend. Or maybe your daughter.

Eclipse is the type of motherfucker to make jokes like "What's the best thing about twenty four year olds? There's twenty of them". Except in his case he's not joking. I always said that dude looked like a clown. And not the good kind. BECAUSE THERE ARE NO GOOD KINDS OF CLOWNS. They're all creepy. And weird. Like Moongoose McQueen. And Jon McAdams. And Nathan Fiora. Am I the only functioning adult in this match? I shudder at the fact that Moongoose has kids. This man should be locked up somewhere. As for Jon McAdams' butt buddy slash leader Eclipse, well, he can pursue a career in the NFL because his tight end is gonna turn into a wide receiver in prison.

My attorney's blowing up my phone right now advising me to switch topics immediately. Ok, let's talk about Nathan Fiora. I kicked his ass while signing autographs and taking selfies during the match. He's a joke. My son puts up a better fight play-wrestling. Truth hurts, but that's your reality, Nate.

I gotta end this somehow 'cause that's what happens when you start these things a couple minutes before the deadline. So I'll end this with a little throwback to the good 'ol days...

Carlos: TELL THEM I’M BUSY! 


Attendant: It’s…. Miss Mao, sir. And…she’s not in the best of moods. 


(Carlos looks over at the two ladies with a concerned expression before waving the attendant over with his phone before brushing him off with an annoyed look.)


Carlos: MAAAAAAAOOOOOO! How are you, sweetheart? Great to hear from you.


Mao: Carlos….do you mind explaining to me why you have a INTERWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH TOMORROW…BUT YOU’RE NOT EVEN IN OHIO BUT IN OXFORD FUCKING MISSISSIPPI!?!?


Carlos: I…uah…. well…. I took the private flight to Oxford first? 


Mao: WRONG ANSWER, ASSHOLE! Am I going to have to take the jets away again for you not to do stupid shit like this again? YOU HAVE THE BIGGEST MATCH OF YOUR COMEBACK TO COME UP SO FAR AND YOU ARE AT A FOOTBALL GAME!? Are you drinking?


Carlos: Define drinking……


Mao: (silence)


Carlos: Okay, a margarita or two. And some tequila when I was eating wings. That’s it. That’s really it…. Look, why are you so worried? Do you know who I’m going against? Some guy named Amadan, Ramadan or Amadeus or whatever. I’m going to be alright.


Mao: You have a chance to make history. You have a chance to win two titles in a week, a single week. I don’t know why Drake gave you this match but for you already planning a parade, you better be prepared. 


Carlos: Of course, I’m prepared. Do you think that I wouldn’t be? This is the only day of the week where I haven’t been eating clean and all that shit you and your nutritionist put on me. I’ve watched enough film on this guy to know what he’s going to do before he does it. Hell, I got so bored I started planning TWO victory parades instead of one, that’s how confident I am that I’m going to beat his ass. And you’ve seen what happens every time we interact, I put him on his ass. This time I’m going to do it AND take his title away from him. And have you heard him talk? He’s such a BORE! He droned on and on sometime today or yesterday talking about how I’m “old” and “outdated” and “not needed on Voltage”. Doesn’t he know Voltage ratings have SOARED since I came back? Doesn’t he know that the only reason his match is main eventing Voltage tomorrow because I AM IN IT!? I am the greatest thing that ever happened to this man’s wrestling career, much fucking better than being in the Sanatorium and Nightmare, mind you. He should be THANKING ME! 


Mao: That’s fine, whatever. Just…. I think you’re getting a little carried away. I know you don’t think much of the guy but it’s still a championship match. And not only that, you still must make sure you keep yourself in tip top condition for the Elimination Chamber. Don’t you fucking dare tell me you’ve forgotten all the rehab that you went to get to this point, all the training and surgeries and everything that you put yourself through planning all this. We are on the cusp of the true Rosso Era. 


Carlos: Look, I haven’t lost sight of that at all, babe. I’ve had my desire questioned a lot lately and honestly that’s okay. I don’t mind criticism from people who know what they are talking about. But from these fucking Rooks, man? From people who are only holding titles because I made them relevant again? From people who can’t win a fucking title to save their lives in some cases? From people who haven’t Main evented a Pain for Pride? Nah, fuck that. I’m going to carry on how I want to carry on and do what I want to do. If I want to give an actual fuck about someone’s title and take it from them, I will. If I want to go plan a parade in advance of a victory, I’ll do it. They don’t know how seriously I take this shit. They see the promos and the segments and the interviews, but they don’t see what you see. Amadeus gonna find that shit out first hand. And who the fuck watches CM Banks anymore? That dude got soft ever since he started repping Big Baller Brand. And FUCKING PoP?! Really? That’s the standard my return is measured by some dude who never drew a dime as Champion? Man, fuck outta here……


Mao: Look, please, PLEASE don’t overdo it with the drinking tonight. We need you NOT running around with a hangover tomorrow, so you can be at your best for this match. There will be plenty of time to drink when you aren’t getting ready for two of the biggest matches of your comeback, okay? 


Carlos: Fine, fine. I’ll keep the drinking to the minimum. I don’t get these people out here anyway. I’ve never seen so many chandeliers under tailgate tents. It’s weird. It’s like someone is trying to build a redneck castle…. Oh, did you hear that snarky little comment about me not needing the championship, so I don’t deserve it. That’s not how any of this shit works. You deserve what you go out and get. If I kick his ass and take the title, I deserve it, right? You get what you deserve. Tomorrow he’s gonna get what HE deserves, and it should be worse….


Mao: I agree with you on all accounts. Just don’t forget what you have ahead of you at Road to Redemption. Go win the title, go beat his ass, but don’t take unnecessary chances. Don’t do anything stupid like get injured. We need you in that Chamber so that you can take the big title. 


Carlos: You know, I haven’t had the best luck in Chamber matches. I lost my old CWF title in one, thanks to some interference. Then I got knocked out of one a couple of years ago. It’s about time to change that trend, don’t you think? I’m feeling good, starting to get a few wins under my belt. Yeah, was kinda struggling when I came back but you point out someone who would have a great run after almost a year and a half off.


Mao: Well, like I said, the first match is a priority, but don’t forget what you really came back here to do. You want the Interwire title? Go take it and reclaim it. But just remember that being the 40th EAW Interwire Champion would be nice, being the next EAW World Heavyweight Champion is nicer.


Carlos: I know, I know, fuck. You don’t have to keep repeating yourself, Jesus. I’ll be ready to go.


Mao: Oh…. Carlos?


Carlos: Yeah? 


Mao: (speaking in the sweetest of tones) If you ever take the company jet again and don’t show up to venue more than 24 hours ahead of time again for football, I’m going to cut off your testicles and put them in a jar. Enjoy the rest of the game…. Ja ne!


(Mao hangs up the phone, leaving a befuddled Carlos Rosso, who instantly gets distracted when he sees an LSU player wide open catching the ball and running for a touchdown.) 


Carlos: OH SHIT……. OH SHIT…. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! MAKE THESE MOTHERFUCKERS QUIT! THAT’S WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!!!


(After a brief celebration with his two female companions, Carlos immediately picks up the phone and makes a call.)


Carlos: Hey…. how soon can you have the plane ready? Yeah. This game is shit, this stadium is shit. The luxury suite is good but I’m ready to roll. Good. Stock me up something healthy to eat on the flight. If Mao finds out I ate anything fried down here she’ll kill me. Oh, one more thing…. make sure I have all the info on Amadeus I asked for, plus a composite of all his matches. If that sonofabitch has a weakness, I’m gonna find it and exploit it. I think it’s high time he learns that this old dog still has plenty of nasty, evil tricks in the bag. Oh, hell yeah, we’re up by three touchdowns now. That’s why I called. Yep. Thanks….


(Carlos turns to his two female companions after downing another glass of champagne.)


Carlos: Girls, I’m outta here, you all enjoy the rest of the game. And tell them that the spread was good.

Carlos Rosso, you illustrate my point perfectly.  You are the only one that still believes the hype about yourself.  You see yourself as the savior, when in point of fact, you are the disease.  You are part of the malady that afflicts Voltage.  Would that I could cure Voltage.  Would that I could erase your stain from our halls.  But you are a hardy creature, I will give you that.  But your endgame Sunday night is simply to survive, not conquer.  Your degree of success is not capturing the Interwire title, it's surviving the match with me.  You want to know why people keep talking about ending you, finishing you off?  Why do such disparate personalities like Keelan Cetinich and mine agree that the world would be better without you?  Because, different as we are, we both know that your presence on Voltage is an evolutionary step backwards.  It's not your age that's a problem, it's your point of view of the world, your perception on what it means to be a warrior, what it means to be an Elitist.  It's all so archaic and outmoded.  Back in the day, when you were the 26th Interwire champion, maybe your style and matter of conduct worked in the state of EAW.  But now, during my reign as 39th Interwire champion, much has changed.  There's a new breed of Elitist, one looking to step beyond the shallow caricature of a human being that you represent.  We are smarter, deadlier, more aware of the place that we find ourselves in.  You sit behind your desk, planning your victory lap before you've even won.  You're like a baseball team that puts the sheets over their locker and pops the champagne before the championship game has even begun.  You know what you want, but you don't realize what you're going to have to do to get there.  Confidence is one thing.  Jamie O'Hara is confident that he will walk out of Road to Redemption with that belt still around his waist, just as each of us is confident that we will do the same.  It's not a contradiction, though.  It's a cool calculation of our skills and our will, that if we are given the opportunity, we will not hesitate and strike true, securing our victory.  Only one of us will actually turn out to be the victor, but it doesn't change the fact that we are confident in our own skills.  That's all well and fine.  But you move beyond confidence into the territory of overconfidence.  Your conduct and composure speak of a man who is unaware of the joke that he truly is.  Planning a parade?  A man who can't find two people to cheer for him when he enters an arena.  How many people not related to you would actually attend said parade?  It's a rhetorical question because you're not getting one.  You will not win the World Heavyweight Championship at Road to Redemption, and you will most certainly not win the Interwire title from me.

You say that I need to win this match more than you do.  Gosh, you really cut to the heart of the matter there, didn't you?  That was a sage assessment of the situation, no doubt a by product of your keen veteran instinct.  Yes, I need to win this match more than you do, because my desire to win is stronger than yours.  My desire to elevate myself, this title, and all of Voltage is higher than yours.  You think that your mere presence and name are enough to make Voltage better, to make the Interwire title better.  Maybe back in the day, Carlos Rosso, it could have, during your heyday.  But now?  Your presence is more of a joke, a punchline.  People hang on every word you're saying, true, but only to hear your next verbal fumble so that they can laugh at you.  Your name used to mean something, it's true, but where previous veterans returned like CM Bank$ and POP and reminded people why they were great through actions in the ring, you've come back and underachieved, but never losing that swagger, never once becoming self-aware.  You just continue on the same way you've always continued.  No adaptation, only stagnation.  That's what you bring to Voltage.  Nothing but a mire of stagnation.  And that's what you'd bring to the Interwire title should I falter.  Even your catchphrase is old and outdated.  'Ichiban'?  In what fantasy world is Carlos Rosso number one nowadays?  'Hachi-ban' if we're feeling generous.

I will not falter here.  During the tournament that led up to this title reign, I proved that I was on the ascent, that I was intent on reaching for the heights.  I proved that I was more than just a toady of Eclipse like so many had tried to name me.  During my title defense against my brothers in Nightmare and Harvey Yorke and Anthony Leonhart, I proved that I could fight through the chaos and come out on top.  Sunday, I prove what I already know: that one on one, I can stand toe to toe with anyone and defend this title.  This Sunday, I make a stand for myself.  All too often, I've been reacting to other people, placing myself as an obstacle to their dreams, one to test them, break them.  But as I said, Carlos Rosso, I don't care about your dreams.  They're not worth breaking.  I make this match about myself.  My dreams.  My desires.  I'm keeping this title, no matter who Kenny Drake sends after me to take it from my hands.  I'll break their arms.  Sunday night, I make a statement, using your blood for my writ.  This Sunday night, the new guard defeats the old guard.  You are not the present of Voltage, you are the past.  You represent the old way of doing things.  I will strike a blow for the future of Voltage.  That we will not be ruled over by the old and the wrong-minded.  That the young, the new, will shape the future of Voltage.  We will be the ones that elevate Voltage into the stratosphere.

Still, it gladdens my heart to hear that you don't need this championship.  That everything that you take from EAW is just gravy.  That speaks of a lack of heart, a lack of drive and determination.  It speaks to you being comfortable with your current condition, disinclined to change it.  You don't need this championship, so you don't deserve this championship.  I put a lot of heart and effort into claiming this title, and while it's not my end goal, it is an important piece of my journey.  Someone will take it from me someday, it's true.  But that person will have to prove that he has just a little more determination, just a little more depravity, and just a little more luck than me to pry it from my grip.  You have none of these things, Carlos Rosso.  Your drive is simply for accolades nowadays.  Maybe in the past you had the heart of a warrior, driven to prove that you were the best.  And maybe there was a time when 'Ichiban' was an appropriate moniker.  But that time is not now.  But now, you just want the praise that comes from hard work without having to do the work yourself.

I have wandered and meandered for the past few weeks, coming up short after a blaze of effort, coming up fingertips short of victory, despite it being in my grasp.  No more.  I will continue to hold this title and gain momentum as we head to Road to Redemption.  I will humble you, break you down to your knees, leave you defeated at my feet.  And the best part of it is?  That's just a preview of what will happen to you in the Elimination Chamber.  You will go through it all over again locked inside the chamber with five other men who are the present and the future of Voltage.  Trapped inside with five other men who you are nothing but a shadow to.  And your time will end there the same as it will end Sunday night: broken and defeated.

And my dream continues.

Woah, Woah, Woah. Jon I’m going to need you to take a step back there for a moment…. A little more. I know you just took a step back, but I’m going to need you to hop backward about 5 more times and keep your god damn distance so I don’t catch whatever disease you have going for you. What’s that call? Oh, right. Desperation. You reek of it. It doesn’t look good for you and you should get that checked by a doctor, and while you are at it, have it take a look at the bruise I’m gonna give you on Voltage. 2 birds, 1 stone, well I guess 3 birds in this case, but seems like an awful waste of a stone to use you put the 3 of you guys down with.
 
Now you are right, Jon. You are totally right. I should reevaluate my life first before I talk anymore. So let’s take a look at my career. I’ve wrestled all over the world for the past decade, from Mexico, Japan, Europe, and in the US. I’m known all over the world for my contribution to this industry. I am a former multi-time world champion that can honestly say he has seen all and done all. I’ve been in this industry through it’s best, and I’ve seen it at it’s worse, and I can tell you, when I say something isn’t a big deal, it really isn’t a big deal. Once again, you pile on and on about the win and loss records, citing about how I can’t win the big matches, yet you can’t seem to remember the key portion of that statement. The fact that I’m in these matches and you aren’t. Sure, you had the Hardcore title going for you, and even the Openweight title contender, but whose to say if I wasn’t busy with NEO or the New Breed title, that I wouldn’t be fighting for that title while you are warming up the bench? Why? Why not? Considering my track record of being placed in those situations, it’s not hard to pick among, sure, let’s say the 4 of us, who is the most reliable and the most talented among the bunch.
 
You got Cody Marshall, the key personification of everything that is wrong with America. You got Nathan Fiora, a prime example of a man going through a mid-life crisis, picking fights with just about anyone and thinking he’s invincible or some shit. And then you got Jon McAdams, a man who can’t seem to find a place where he belongs and is constantly pushed to the side by his tag partner, his opponents, and from the looks of it, his own damn stable or “family” because no one wants a damn thing to do with you. Where as for me, I have it all. I’m cool, collected, and I have a reserve of energy that allows me to keep up with the best and put on an incredible show. But you? Nah, No one can rely on you to put out a 5-star, no 4 star, maybe a 3 star match, but that’s being generous. Hell, people can’t even rely on you to win, and you keep wondering why you keep getting the shaft in all of this. But the thing is, Jon, yours makes sense. Where for me, it’s pretty much criminal to have someone as damn good as I and not fully utilize him. I mean, I have it all. I have a following. I have the determination. The passion, the drive. The whole god damn thing, and EAW will only use a fraction of it.
 
You can keep talking about how you are giving it all, and I’ll say I haven’t even begun and it just pisses you off how much further and faster I’ve gotten along in EAW, doesn’t it? Like I said, don’t worry about it. I have years and years of experience backing me up and a reputation. That should be enough to help you deal with this crippling fear that atleast “I” will move further in EAW than you ever will, but I can’t speak much about …. Well… just about almost everyone else in that locker room. You hate being over looked, but you make it so easy, where as for me, people can’t help to keep their eyes on me, and while I might had been gone, what? 2 weeks after Ground Zero, people were still talking about me over Jon McAdams, aka, the man that needs a pep talk from that oaf, Apocalypse, which is like, why? I’ve been in the ring with that man. Who is he to give you of all people lessons on what? How to make friends? How to make your friends stay? How about this for advice, Jon? Why don’t you trying winning more often and maybe, just maybe people will tolerate you some more? It’s a big Maybe, but hey, atleast by winning, you’ll have something to back yourself up with.
 

With that said and done, Jon, Good Luck. I’ll give you credit where credit is due and saying that if I had to rank the 3 of you, you would be top 3. Yeah, you heard me. Top 3, because you are all the same level to me in terms of “I don’t give a fuck and still don’t consider anyone there someone that can potentially push me.” Neither one of you crackers have what it takes to even touch the Masterpiece of the Century that is I. Yeah, I said cracker. Because this match is going to be like being a country music concert, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Cody Marshall brings out a guitar and starts singing Blake Shelton or some shit. I’ll say it. I don’t really want to be in this match. It’s truly not worth my time and effort, and with the rate things are going, they might as well not air this one, because Spoiler Alert, Moongoose McQueen wins against a bunch of nobodies, and no one will bat an eye. However, I’m sure Kenny Drake is only there because he wants to make some big announcement, so it “has to happen.” Well, so be it. I’ll play along. I wouldn’t be surprised if the announcement has anything to do with any of us and will probably  be like, “YOU….. WINNER…. GET …. TITLE ….SHOT!” And then I’ll be like, “For real?!!” And Kenny will be like, “YES…… INTERWIRE,” and I’ll be like…”meh… ok, better than nothing.” Then Kenny would be like, “WHY?..... NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YA?” and I’ll be like, “No, this is fine, just leave it alone. I’ll fight for the title and elevate like I always do.” And Kenny would be like, “GOOD…… GOOD! …. CARRY ON.” I assume that’s how he talks. I don’t know. I zone out from time to time when the boss is talking. But the point is, Jon. This is happening. I might not really care, and in some way, that will probably frustrate you, but there is a silver lining in that, because I don’t care, you have a better chance of winning. It’s not a big chance, considering I didn’t care the last time we fought and I still came out on top, but it’s a sliver of hope you might just need, and who knows, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum over there might mess it up for me, because…. Sigh… Cody Marshall, you disappointed me. And Nathan Fiora, well, he disappoints a lot of people.

A friend of mine has a nice hotel in the heart of downtown on standby. Oh yes, Baton Rouge will be another potential sight. Could you imagine the Golden Band from Tiger Land coming down Victory Hill being led by yours truly? That would be a day long remembered. Drew Brees…YO, YO, I know it would be during an NFL week but if we have the parade on a Tuesday after Red Dead….>I mean Road to Redemption maybe we can have that worked out? I’m assuming you’ll make sure we have the security we need? Thank you, Governor. It’s much appreciated. I won’t let the state of Louisiana down like the Saints or LSU Basketball or….well…any government administered by someone not named Huey Long in our state in the last 100 years….OH, of course not YOU, man. To most people, a shot at the Interwire Championship would represent a watershed moment in their career, it would be a magnificent accomplishment! It would be a thrill to grab one of the most treasured championships in EAW history and hold it aloft as a sign that you are one of the best that EAW has to offer, someone who is a workhorse and capable, someone who will be heard from in the World Championship scene sooner rather than later.


To me, getting the news that I would challenge for such a prestigious title…. it’s just another day.


Down in the French speaking portion of Louisiana, there is a term called “Lagniappe”. For those of you unfamiliar it means something extra, a gift, etc. The opportunity to hold the Interwire Championship isn’t something I take lightly, don’t get me wrong. I was the 26^th Interwire Champion, proudly holding that belt along with the Undisputed, Unified World Tag Team Championships with my partner GI when Dynamite Rain was at its apex as a unit. I was more than proud of resurrecting that championship, carrying it back to prominence as I helped carry the tag team division back to prominence. Without me, none of the success and accolades that you are enjoying right now, Amadeus.


YOU need to win this match a lot more than I do, don’t you? You’ve faced a lot of decent competition in your run as champion. But….honestly, you’ve never faced me, the absolute best. I’ve had people ask me before why don’t you have a belt if you’re so great. You want to know what I told them? I DON’T NEED A FUCKING CHAMPIONSHIP BELT. I AM A CHAMPION OF LIFE! Everything that I take in EAW is just bonus points, man. I don’t need to be in the ring fighting, putting my body on the line, but I do it every day because I like seeing people’s faces when I succeed. I like seeing haters like you getting frustrated because some “old guy” like me comes around and knocks you on your ass a bit, makes you question why things aren’t going your way and let’s be real, Things haven’t quiet gone your way ever since we started crossing paths, has it? We haven’t had a match proper yet, but every encounter that we have had has wound up with you looking up at ME from the flat of your back. You know what the Southern Lariat feels like, you are aware that it is without question the Strongest Arm in EAW. You can try to put me in the same class of Anthony Leonhart, who I definitely wish well in his retirement, but even Anthony will tell you himself that I’m not failure. And just for the record, even though the opposition may be not the quality that strikes fear into the hearts of men, I haven’t lost on Voltage in a good little while now. Three consecutive wins, four? I don’t know.


Oh, just so we’re clear, I don’t need your fucking empathy either. I didn’t ask for it from you, Keelan or Lars and I don’t lose sleep over being misunderstood or someone hating my guts. In fact, I thrive off of it…because I have even less incentive to go easy on you.


Why was I given this match? I don’t really know. Maybe Kenny Drake is expecting a quality main event. Maybe he wants to see if we will kill each other before the Chamber so he can keep his golden goose Jamie O’Hara, that much safer. I’m curious as to what Keelan Ostrich is doing at ringside, because I know he hates me with every fiber of his being and I know he would love nothing more than to spoil a moment of mine. The only thing that’s going to be spoiled though is your Interwire Championship reign. And, I’m ready to admit that the Elimination Chamber is the higher priority. While I would love nothing more to demoralize and humiliate you before we lock horns there, I’m not going to kill myself trying to take that belt from you. I have much bigger things to plan for. I have ALREADY been in talks, as you saw earlier, with the Governor of Louisiana and the Mayors of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. There will be a celebration once I’ve won the EAW World Heavyweight Championship that Louisiana hasn’t seen since after the War of 1812. It’s gonna be fucking awesome. But there is a worry though: Where do I hold my victory rally? Baton Rouge, New Orleans?


Well, after I’ve kicked your ass, I’ve decided to hold TWO parades. One for my impending triumph over you and capturing the Interwire Championship in my native Baton Rouge, and then another, even BIGGER celebration in New Orleans for celebrating the capture of the World Heavyweight Championship. I understand that Nightmare has been breaking up and you are somewhat distracted with that and I’m aware that you want to be ready for the Elimination Chamber, so I’ll make this nice, quick and easy, relieve you of your championship so that you can concentrate to the fullest on the Elimination Chamber and your personal issues.


I don’t know what everyone’s obsession with ending me is for, honestly. What did I ever do to you guys other than try to uplift Voltage to a level of prestige and greatness that you can’t commit to. Do you honestly believe that TLA, Keelan, Lars, or even Jamie for all that he has given Voltage can be the kind of champion that I can be? Do YOU think that YOU can do that? Honestly, I don’t think so. I have nothing but the best of this show, this brand in mind, but because my methods make you and some of the other crybabies uncomfortable I’m some sort of old relic. And, as you have already conceded, I don’t go down easily. People have tried, Hall of Famers have tried to do the same shit you’re going to try to do on Sunday night. And guess what, motherfucker, they all failed. I CANNOT be destroyed, I CANNOT be taken out. I CANNOT be made to leave this business that I love and unfortunately for you, I will be around for a long time.


You and the other punk can have the future and babble about the future. But the present, YOUR ASS and the EAW INTERWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP, WILL BELONG TO ME. And when I win the Championship, hold it over your beaten-up body and then sling it over my shoulder and catch the nearest flight out of the arena and to Minnesota, maybe you will have an epiphany on the ground. Maybe you will understand that my intentions and my ambitions are something that you should have understood and not taken for granted.


And Keelan, yeah you ugly fucker, just do your best to do good commentary while I’m beating Amadeus into his new station in life. I know that you may have the urge to touch me again after our last encounter, but I’m straight and have no desire to do anything with you other than wrestle in the Elimination Chamber. You beat your chest about having defeated me, but when the real money time comes, when it’s WINNING TIME, you are going to see what a real man does in high pressure situations, not choke like you have done. I alone can fix the dumpster fire that Voltage has become. I alone, will end the reigns of both Amadeus and Jamie O’Hara in the most glorious two weeks of Voltage history. I alone will stand victorious in the ring while you and the others do what you are all very good at apparently:

A preview of destruction, what do we have here?

Rex finally lives up to his name, as he is grouped up with the kings of EAW! Well, only live up to it for show.

Show up for Showdown, the show has always been enough to have you people on your feet and enough for people to hang on my coattails like the world hangs on my each and every word, you get to see this one night Rex live in the limelight. Our opponents have nothing on us, I’ve already retained my World Championship against each and every person standing on the opposite end of the ring from me, but this time I’ll embarrass them all at once to prove these knuckle draggers, these mongrels as my peers say, didn’t need to be spread all across all these months of my reign. Just one night is the type of time I need to dispel the notion that these type of people are a threat to my reign, let alone the combined forces of the Triumvirate and the one night royal. Yes, this is quite entertaining, nothing would amuse me more than to bring about this sight, these adversaries of mine will paint a Mona Lisa before my eyes as they lay across the canvas and have their pitiful hopes snatched away by yours truly once again!

Their words have no intrinsic value on these streets, all bluff and bluster.

They speak to me, but barely grab my attention aside from knowing their talking. They speak of me on my knees, claim their past losses could have gone any way, and that I am some sort of slut to be shamed, but my name is the one honoured on the marquees and event poster after poster.

Sluts are already some of the best people on the planet being able to make riches off their pure bare talents alone, but to have such gains without ever having a pimp or taking off your clothes? To be a male one at that, when men would have done what I have for free? There is no greater compliment, not only would most of EAW willingly be in the factions I have, they would have paid to do so instead of being the ones that get the rewards like I did. Instead they, like my opponents, look back in history and only have the ability to claim how close they came to this and that, instead of grabbing what they wanted before them.  And now, if I’ve ever been on my knees then that must truly be a horror for my foes to have witnessed that I on a knee, on my worst days, still exist high above them as they stand steadfast straight and narrow on their bests, taller on my knees than they on their feet! Cause at the end of the day, I retell you, I am World Champion and they’ve all had their chance to have ended this a long time ago with only failure found in their pursuits. The only question is who lost the most by my hand? Theron and his streak? The High Rollerz and their unified tag team championships? Or the Heart Break Gal who lost her womanhood when she was treated as nothing more than a plaything before me, as I proved the world she is nothing more than an object for my showcase instead of a true person to be valued in this company?

I supposed it is all a matter of opinion, people put value in whatever they choose, I the king of thieves only serve to take what these people value without judgement for what I take being truly something they should have held onto so strongly in the first place in their desperation for self worth.  I’ve always enjoyed that these people, much like Rex will on Showdown, are able to talk themselves up to put on a show, the heist of victory is truly the most fulfilling when your enemies are utterly convinced that victory was theirs! In fact, without that element it wouldn’t be heist at all, quite a laugh inducing irony that their false pretense of grandeur is the only thing capable of keeping my role as king of thieves going, I reign forever because delusion is all the people who walk in that locker room have! This is the story of EAW, no matter how downtrodden and humiliated people are they always have this crazed outlook that tomorrow belongs to them, and thus they have an infinite supply of goods to steal away from them! So let them hype themselves up, let them fabricate the most fantastically and absurd narratives that they can imagine to build the idea that victory and gold is right around the corner for them! I only have few words to say to them, and say them now.

(We start this promo off with David sitting backstage in The RAD Betting Agency doing dope stuff like usual. Wait what is that? Is that a massage chair David is sitting in? You fucking bet is. Plenty of upgrades have been made. A butler comes by to knock on the door and David is gifted a bowl of cereal. So we see that David is just minding his business, staying out of trouble like usual until The Interviewer pops up…damn it. Doesn’t this dude have places to be? A family to take care of? Friends? Other hobbies? The answer to all of those questions is no. The interviewer finds a chair of his own. Just a standard steel chair. He doesn’t get a massage one. The interviewer is sitting right by the open door. Awkward eye contact is made and David just looks down at his cereal.)

The Interviewer: Oh hey David!

David: The sign. Read it. 

(The interviewer is confused at first but sees the big ass sign on the door. Yeah, he would completely miss that. Interviewer just doing interviewer things.)

Interviewer: Oh let’s see. It says…talking is prohibited while Cinnamon Toast Crunch consumption is in progress. Oops my bad. 

David: And the fine print right below it. 

Interviewer: If you read this out loud you now owe David ten thousand dollars. If you don’t pay up you will get slapped by a monkey named Chimp The Pimp at a time of his choosing. Oh god no. I’ll try to get you your money as soon as possible. Even if I have to return to my street corner. 

(David stops paying attention to him because David is a very serious individual. He doesn’t have time for such tomfoolery. The interviewer looks depressed but then again that’s his normal facial expression. He sighs trying to get David to look at him but it doesn’t work. He sighs even louder and longer this time. David looks at the camera like Jim from The Office before continuing to eat his cereal. The interviewer sighs even louder because he’s an attention whore.)

David: What…

Interviewer: Oh it’s nothing. No need to worry about me. 

(David stares into the interviewer’s soul before checking his phone. The interviewer sits there quietly for about twenty seconds before sighing even louder.)

David: WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?

Interviewer: Like I said its nothing to worry about. 

David: Okay but just know I’m not asking again. 

Interviewer: Well it’s just…you and Jack cheated on me last week when you let Max interview you on Showdown. Why would you do that? Do I embarrass you? 

David: Um yeah. Absolutely you do. 

Interviewer: I mean, I’m beginning to worry if my job is in jeopardy.. 

David: Pretty sure EAW never even hired you. Don’t I have a match this week? Aren’t you supposed to ask me about it? 

Interviewer: Oh who cares I’m going to get fired and die alone. 

David: Hmmm who cares, you ask? You could also ask who cares about this eight man tag match this week…so who cares?! BITCH I DO! I’m preparing for war. Eating a nutritious pre-match meal and everything. Look inside this bowl! Everybody knows that Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a great source of vitamins and calcium and um protein. I can just feel my big muscles trying to pop through my shirt. THIS SHIRT CAN’T CONTAIN ME JUST LIKE THE TRIUMVIRATE CAN’T CONTAIN DAAAAA HIGH ROLLLLLLERZZZZZZZ! I’M YELLING NOW SO THEREFORE, I’M AUTOMATICALLY INTIMIDATING! ALL I NEED IS A FLICKERING LIGHT TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS AND I’M SET! SHOUTOUT TO JOEL EMBIID! As you can see I’m fired up. I feel like punching a hole through a wall…aka Ares and Lannister because when it comes to talking to them, it’s like communicating to a wall. You get nothing! Ha, you like that comparison? I know I did. I like to connect the dots…just like how my fist is going to connect with their jaws this week and the week after. Oh my god I’m on fire. I can’t be stopped. Just like The High Rollerz won’t be stopped at Road to Redemption when we become three time tag team champs in less than a year. That’d be the tits for sure. But…hold on, let me simmer down. Simmer David, sssssssimmer. Like I was about to say, this isn’t about Road to Redemption. This is about this week. This is about Showdown and this is about The High Rollerz, Theron, and the Heart Break Gal being best friends and kickin ass. Best friends? You didn’t know about that did you? Of course, Jack and I have been best friends for twenty years. TWO ZERO! TWENTY! NOT ONE! NOT TWO! NOT THREE! NOT FOUR! NOT FIVE! WHAT ABOUT SIX? NOPE! SEVEN? EIGHT? NINE? TEN? NOOOOPE! DOUBLE THAT SHIT BECAUSE LIKE I SAID, ITS BEEN TWENTY YEARS OF THE BEST FRIENDSHIP OF ALL TIME. Just like Jack Ripley is the BEST best-friend of all time. Yeah that’s right, Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter have nothing on David Davidson and Jack Ripley! As for Theron? We are also great friends. We knew that heading into Territorial Invasion. Yeah, I know, we lost. There, I said it. I allowed my pride to take a backseat for a few seconds. That’s just what mature adults do. As for The Heart Break Gal? We belong to the same book club so we are also very close…even though I hated her guts when I first arrived here. Oh what? Who said that? 

Interviewer: Oh I’m pretty sure that was you. 

David: Nuh uh. 

Interviewer: Yep it was. There are only three people in this room. Cameraman is too busy filming and I’m too busy sulking, so therefore it just leaves you. 

David: I hate you. You are my third least favorite thing in this world. 

Interviewer: Oh what are the other two things? 

David: Let’s see you come in at number three, The Triumvirate is number two and at number one is candy corn. So f’n disgusting. Sometimes when I would go trick or treating, a horrible neighbor or two would give me candy corn and it was just the worst. I’d egg their house. 

Interviewer: Damn you were quite the menace when you were a kid. 

David: Oh the egging thing happened just last year. But back to this match. Just why? Why do we have to keep talking to The Triumvirate? We’ve done it every week since TI, actually even a few weeks before TI…its just getting old. I want to save some of my material for RTR week but it’s difficult when Brian Daniels tells us to promote this match week after week after week after week. Come next week, the four of us will just be regurgitating the same ol’ topics and points, oh well. But it’s never stopped Ares before. Mongrel this, mongrel that. Stuck on repeat. I’m convinced he writes his speeches in a word document, programs it into a TelePrompTer and reads the same lines word for word, with minuscule changes from the week before to make it seem different, but it’s not. It’s the same ol’ shit, no matter how hard he tries to polish it. I miss the old Ares. The Crimson Mask Ares. The tattooing other dude’s names on your skin Ares. The holding your mom aka Kendra’s hand before crossing the entrance ramp Ares. The man that used to travel with 30 Agents of Extreme Ares. The dude that used to preach about some bs religion Ares. The dude that would always end his dialogue with some corny ass phrase like On Wrongs Swift Vengeance Waits, Ares. Oh wait never mind you still do that with Veni Vidi Vici. There is a theme with you, Ares. And that theme is all about misconceptions. Here you are, strutting around with your two allies, thinking the world belongs to you. But that’s never been the case. It’s never been about you or Lannister…and it certainly hasn’t been about Tiberius. I get it, he’s a world champion but we both know that title means nothing to me. Just a fancy prop and nothing more. The titles that you and Lannister hold near and tight however, is a different story. That’s all Jack and I care about. So when you say the likes of Jack, HBG, Theron, and myself are hellbent on putting an end to The Triumvirate…I really don’t care. I know I just sounded like Diamond Cage or my opponent from a few weeks ago in Lance Hart where they have this nonchalant type attitude by claiming they don’t care about this or that. But it’s true. I mean, I suppose I can’t speak on HBG or Theron’s behalf, but as for The High Rollerz, we truly don’t care about ending your little alliance. You’ll do that yourself, Ares. Or if it’s not you then it’ll be Lannister or Tiberius. This isn’t your first stable or whatever you want to call it, for any of you three and it probably won’t be your last. Like I said originally, all we want are those titles and then we’ll be out of your hair. Then you can do whatever you want. Besides, I’m not here to play the hero role. I’m far from a “good guy” but it seems people have forgotten about that because you and Lannister are such tools that it helps boost our popularity and merchandise sales. So thank you for that, as well as thank you for keeping our titles warm. 

When you talked today Ares, you almost came off as a victim trying to summarize the situation you find yourself in. Perhaps that was never your intention, but that’s how I interpreted it. Talking about how all of these people are coming after you and your plastic crowns and castles made of cardboard belonging to your kingdom. We aren’t exactly banding together with the likes of Theron and HBG. HBG especially since her and Cam could be the new number one contenders for the titles we will win back next Saturday. Speaking of which, I’ve noticed that EAW can change in a drop of a hat. Alliances are formed and broken like its nothing. But true brotherhood is as strong as oak. And that’s what Jack and I have, brotherhood. Look at Lannister. He used to be tag champ with Psycho Brody. Now he’s with Ares. Or my partner for this week HBG, used to be champs with Imp and I believe before that, HBB. Tiberius used to be tag champs with Drake. He’s been in three stables already. A true stable slut. Yes I just slut shamed, come at me, I dare you. Just like Ares with House Vendetta and Lanny with RAGNAROK. Or how about HBG’s partner, Cam, with The Heart Break Boy? Then there are promising teams we have faced like The Knights of the Dawning. What’s his face leaves, Kelly something, and Finnegan is now in a new team with Ironico. The point I’m trying to make is that continuity is a very rare thing in EAW. Betrayals, injuries, egos, greed…it tarnishes friendships and bonds. Which is why I believe the tag division is always hurting with a noticeable gash. Elitists of today have seen enough of these betrayals to realize that everybody in this business is in it for themselves. Hell, one of our very first matches, back on Dynasty Wrestling, we saw Ryan Savage turn on Mr. DEDEDE. It’s just too common. And I’m sure that The Triumvirate will be added to that list shortly. Your history with Lannister makes it too easy to predict. But like I said, this tag division has been hurting for the longest time and here comes to band-aid that is The High Rollerz. You may have those titles for now, but you still aren’t the team to beat. The High Rollerz are the gold standard of this division, while you and the others are fighting for silver. At Road to Redemption, it’s going to be a classic tag match. No Theron and no Tiberius to take up space in that ring. Ares Vendetta, Lannister vs. David Davidson and Jack Ripley. A match that shouldn’t even be taking place. A couple weeks back you had the opportunity to end my career, perhaps even my life with that chair wrapped around my neck. But you didn’t do it. In your words, it’s just you “toying with us” while I call it a fatal mistake. 

A similar mistake I made when I faced your father months ago. Now as you can see, I’ve talked to you the most this evening. I could go on a rant about Lannister as well, but the last time we squared off, I didn’t hear a single peep from him. So I’m not going to waste my breath. Now, perhaps he has spoken out while this was being recorded and if so, good for him. But I’m not going to edit this video and insert a message about him specifically…yeah, not gonna happen. As for Rex, this might come off as harsh, but the guy isn’t even on my radar. He’s our opponent this week, so of course he will dish out some trash talk, it’s expected. I just find it funny how on our very first night with this blue brand, he hired us to take care of his little problem that was Ryan Marx. We’ve come full circle, in a way I suppose. But like I said, I don’t sweat him. Is this an attempt to come off as some badass, just daring Rex to come out swinging while we are in that squared circle? Nah. I don’t mean any disrespect. It’s just that we concentrate on a specific division and specific titles and he isn’t a threat to either. Now perhaps if Elite Tandems, I believe their name was, you know, his partnership with Chris Elite would have gone further in the Grand Prix tourney and took out Cam and HBG, then maybe this would be a different story. But this is reality, not a world that is based on what ifs. With that said, I’m truly excited about this match, especially given the circumstances. Eight individuals just foaming at the mouth for Road to Redemption to finally get here. The wait has been a long and grueling one, but come next Saturday, it’ll be well worth it. As for this week, we can pretend that this match will just be like any other, where respect will be shown and unicorns and rainbows will appear from the rafters…or we can cut to the chase and just brawl all over the arena. Personally, I prefer the latter. 

Interviewer: I don’t know David, I’m an old school wrestling guy. I wanna see a friendly contest where all eight of you give it your all! 

David: Shut up. 

(The camera fades to black.)

(Jack can be seen at home in his kitchen getting his Gordon Ramsay on.. cooking one of da hardest things to cook... eggs)

Jack: Ooh it's it a big show, gotta get ready. Getting my protein in brother. The rip daddy gotta get ripped for this one.

(Jack flips the eggs using just the pan like a true pro. He puts two more pans on the stove and has pancakes on one and bacon on the other)

Jack: We're about to go to the top of this industry with this one. The world champ, the tag team champs, some other guy... ooooh it's a big show brother. This is a chance of a lifetime, the High Rollerz are on the warpath, if you don't believe me check the tape. Fact of the matter is we have ran down this tag team division until it ran dry, and they had to create a super group to try and take us down. They succeeded, but ever since then The High Rollerz have never been more focused on the task at hand. It gets lonely and boring at the top let me tell you brother. We had tag team, after tag team, after tag team tell us that we weren't as good as we thought we were. We had tag team after tag team after tag team tell us that we only found success because of a weak division. And tag team, after tag team, after tag team, after makeshift tag team fell to us never to heard from again. We are undoubtedly the tag team of the year, and are making a case for greatest of all time. We go up against the kings of Leon at Road To Redemption. How aptly named right? As we go against them for our redemption. They are definitely the best team that we have had to face unquestionably, but we knew they would be going into it. Last year they were both World Champions for the better part of the year, and now we find ourselves going toe to toe with them. I love it, I love every second of it. I don't know if anyone knows this but Jack Ripley is a gambling man, big shock right? I want to bet that you will see the best incarnation of Jack Ripley that you have ever seen. Talent brings out talent, it ups the game a bit. The High Rollerz, we coasted though this year, none of you have seen an ounce of what the High Rollerz can actually do. A year in this company, just a year, and we're already main eventing, we're already going up against the best in EAW, and we're already looked at as top guys. That doesn't just happen, and I know this. But make no mistake we earned every bit of what we're getting, but we want more. We want to prove just exactly how good we can be. The Triumvirate are just people that think they're easily capable of pushing us around with ease. Well they're going to get a cold hard slap of reality because that's not going to happen. There arrogance will be the death of them. David and I are both World Champion caliber talents too, we just decided to join together to go after other endeavors. The mongrels are having an uprising against the kings, and when you have angry peasants coming after you without a thing to lose, you should be scared. You guys are pampered, brought up to believe that you're above everyone. We actually had to work to get to our prestige. Those titles were in good hands with us as much as you will never want to admit that, and they're about to be coming back to us once more. 

(Jacks wife comes into the kitchen)

Wife: jack what are you doing? 

Jack: The rip daddy's cooking baby, got something cooking here. Gotta get ready.

Wife: it's 3 in the morning 

Jack: I don't sleep, sleepings for the week, I don't know how to do it

Wife: oh so I'm weak?

Jack: ...... Oh it's a big show babe.. gotta get ready

Wife: how is this getting you ready?

Jack: haven't you seen Rocky? 

Wife: he ate raw eggs, not cooked eggs, bacon and pancakes..

Jack: Yeah and he also lost that match. So what does that tell ya

Wife: I don't know... what does that tell me?

Jack: He didn't know how to cook. With the right seasoning, he would've won! You think chasing chickens gets you to the top of the Industry brother! No it's about seasoning eggs.

Wife: this couldn't have waited until the morning?

Jack: Check the clock babe 

Wife: it's 3 am like I said.

Jack: AM.. Morning... Breakfast happens in the morning... Boom roasted my wife.

Wife: Well I don't have a match to get ready for so can you keep it down?

Jack: ooooh no can do, got the big one coming up, gotta be ready, gotta stay sharp! 

Wife: sleep helps 

Jack: Oh look at you, thinking you're a doctor and shiiiiiiit.

Wife: I am a doctor... and shit

Jack: ... Ooooh it's a big show, gotta get the rockets strapped on so we go straight to the top. 

Wife: Ok well..

Jack: shh!

Wife: excuse me? Ya bih

(Jack starts to go on the prowl, he jumps the counter and picks up and intruder... They start grappling, they lock up brother. Jack takes control saving his beautiful wife from imminent danger. He bashes this dudes face into the counter top and puts him in a choke hold)

Jack: IVE GOT SUCH BIG ARMS!!

Wife: sigh, jack let him go it's just the interviewer riffling through our trash again.

Jack: Oh...

Interviewer: *gargle* (hey jack!)

(He strengthens the hold) 

Wife: Come on babe he's not worth it

Jack: fine 

(Jack lets the interview flop to the floor. It takes a while for him to get to the floor, his moobs flopped to and frow, his triple chin trebled like the ground after an earthquake.. it took him like 5 minutes to fall 5 feet to the ground. And when he did an earthquake that registered a 7..8 on the Richter scale hit California.. coincidence? No it was the interviewers fault)

Jack: why are you here lard?

Interviewer: I smelt food

Jack: of course you did...

Interviewer: but I got hungry waiting for the pancakes and bacon, so I checked what you had going on in the trash.

Jack: you mean your home?

Interviewer: speaking of which can I rent a room?

Wife: ha ha of course you can!

(Jacks wife nervously laughed and walks up to jack, to whisper in his ear)

Wife: there's no way he's living here.. kick him out of our house now.. he's disgusting.

(She walks away from his ear)

Wife: haha ok bye interviewer, maybe I'll see you around the house!

(She looks at jack stone faced and shakes her head no)

Jack: well interviewer looks like you're trying to ruin my marriage.. so I must ruin you 

Interviewer: How?

Jack: Good question you're already pretty ruined, nothing I can really do at this point. So I guess I must kill you....

Interviewer: ... r-really?

Jack: OF COURSE NOT! Hahaha

Interviewer: hahaha good!

(Jack stops laughing hits him with the stone face and starts nodding yes I'm going to kill you.) 

Jack: Anyways cuntasaurus your name is interviewer, be an interviewer.

Interviewer: Too bush jack o lantern, I got interviewer stuff to do...

Jack: What... oh I got it gonna go cry and touch yourself.. got it... gross... leave 

Interviewer: Alrighty 

Jack: Alrighty... jack said mocking the interviewer 

Interviewer: you're mean 

Jack: K... boom hit you with that k real quick. 

(Interviewer flails his arms and runs away, but stops at the door)

Interviewer: I'm just kidding I know you're kidding, bye jack. I'll be back for dinner tomorrow 

Jack: sigh 

(Interviewer exits stage left) 

This week is going to off the charts excitement for everyone involved believe you me. You got the greatest tag team in the world, The High Rollerz, tagging with one of the greatest wrestlers that just so happens to be a female HBG, and that dude that's gonna be the new World Champion when it's all said done, Theron Nikolas. That is a dream team to behold, it's got my blood boiling, oooh I'm excited. Got a good heart race going, and I'm rearing for a fight. Of course this match is only a preview of what's to come at Road To Redemption, when the High Rollerz take on those burger kings! The Triumvirate.... HA! BABE! HEY BABE!

Wife: WHAT!

Jack: I SAID SOMETHING FUNNY COME LAUGH WITH ME!

Wife: JACK IT IS 3:30 AM PLEASE STOP!

(Interviewer slowly makes his way back into screen, Jack doesn't look at him but he knows he's there.)

Jack: NOT YOU INTERVIEWER!

(Interviewer slowly glides out of frame)

Jack: You guys, you did it. You set out to become the Tag Team Champions, and you did it. We had a long 8 or 9 month reign with those bad boys, and I believe we earned every single ounce of notoriety we got with them. Then we faced you two.. Well you three, and we took an L. On that night you were better than us, congratulations you earned it. But since that day the High Rollerz seemed have gotten the better of you on multiple occasions. Made you the butt of awesome jokes, beat you up when you came after us, you know the whole shebang. I know you think just because you won a back and forth instant classic match you think you're better than us, and I would expect such behavior out of the two of you. You're the kind of people that won't give credit where credit is due. Our match was rated 5 stars in some magazine from a guy that probably lives in his parents basement, that still dreams of the day he'll know what a first kiss is like.

(Interviewer slowly returns into frame.)

Jack: Again Interviewer not you, but it does sound eerily similar doesn't it?

(Interviewer nods, and slowly leaves the frame)

It takes two to tango guys, the two of you, and the two of us. And Theron... And Tiberius. But hey it was an epic encounter, and we should be proud of what we accomplished on that day. Although we lost I know I can hold my head up high and be happy about it, because we put on one hell of a match. A match that could've gone either way, one bad break for you, and it could've been a different story. So that's why I can't fathom, I can't wrap my head around as to why you guys would still think we're not even in your class. That David and I need each other to succeed in this business, because that's utterly ludicrous. As a matter of fact the four of us coming together isn't due to greed, it's just by circumstance. The High Rollerz want to beat the shit out of Ares and Lannister. HBG wants to beat the shit out of Tiberius. Theron and Rex have a thing... Speaking of which, what do you think about Rex being in this match? Since you do have such a disdain for people coming together for a common goal, what do you think of him? You do know he is your enemy right? He wants that title that Tiberius holds just as much as pretty much everyone in this business. You're trusting him? You think that if he does turn on you that you guys will just strike him down? Because I'll tell you what, if he goes after you it's going to be 5 vs. 3, and I know you probably still like those odds... But you shouldn't. You're not as powerful as you think you are. We took you to the brink, a half second away from taking you three out before the Triumvirate even got off the ground. How weird history is right? One small thing happens and it just snowballs into something you couldn't even fathom it being before. The four of us we aren't a proper stable, we're just four people booked in a match, against 3 guys that actually needed each other to stay relevant... And Rex. At the end of all of this the only people I need in this world is my wife, David, and...

(Interviewer dashes into frame)

Interviewer: ME?!!

Jack: Correct! 

Interviewer: REALLY?! 

Jack: YES! Me... 

Interviewer: Oh....

(He walks out again, but not before taking a cookie that was on the table.)

Jack: Son of a bitch... I don't need to trust anyone, I'm good enough that I can get things done on my own. I don't need to be in a tag team, I choose to. I know that can be hard to comprehend for the likes of the Triumvirate, but then again you guys didn't grow up with friends. I came into this business with David Davidson, and I am walking out of this business with David Davidson. That day won't be for a long long time though i assure you of that. We're going to set records, longest reigning Tag Team Champions, most Tag Team Championship reigns, the accomplishments we're setting out for are endless really. I don't understand why we always have to reiterate that, I don't understand why it's so difficult for people to understand we don't have alternative motives behind what we do. They might think of the tag team division as a lesser landfill where they can rest on their laurels but that's not the case, not with us in it. It's funny how you bring up former allies betrayed, because you and Lannister are basically former enemies betrayed. I feel like deep down though, that will never change, this little union the three of you won't last forever your ego's are too big for that to happen. Lannister still hates you, and you still hate Lannister, a piece of gold won't change that fact. Right now you're getting by on talent, but once it comes down to it, and the actual act of being a tag team must be realized, you won't step up. You got by by the skin of your teeth the last time we all faced off, so it baffles me how you can still talk so high and mighty like we're not even on your level. Ares this week on Showdown we're going to beat you... And then at RTR, we're going to beat you again. We are going to become 3 time Tag Team Champions in the course of 1 year, pretty sure that's unheard of. But I ask, what is it that you'll do when that does happen? When you lose the Tag Team titles will you even try to reclaim them? Guess we're about to find out. Oh and Rex, you ain't legend. 

(Jack makes his plate for his breakfast at 3 am. He looks at the camera, and just walks away to his den to watch old wrestling videos brother, because he's a student of the business. Camera fades to black) 

And just like that, up and away he goes! The Tiberius Jones, who once looked me in the eye and vowed to obliterate me to no end has been made a fool of once again. One day you witness him slobber over the guts and the flesh of his enemies, and another day he becomes the helpless prey who is in desperate need for the strength in numbers, as he cries on the shoulders of Lannister and Ares Vendetta! How hard the mighty has fallen! The King is almost at his last breath and a new ruler must be named! Can't you hear the cries of the crowd? They witness the angry Tiberius Jones on one knee, too proud to call for mercy but to weak to make his move. I drew a line in the sand and you kept on crossing it hoping to persuade me into helping you to an easier defense, you merely paid the price for insulting my intelligence. If you keep acting like a little bitch, then you shall be treated as such, or has anyone not learned anything at this point? Don't you fucking try to push me away with fear and intimidation, because no monster can make me twitch. I have suffered. I have been humiliated. I never expected to be treated like a queen the moment I stepped in Showdown, I knew that I had to face the trials and tribulations of an elitist competing against all kinds of opponents before I could qualify for a World Championship match, and that's what I did, but most of the time it felt like I've been walking on hot coal, hurting myself each step of the way with no compensation but a small glimpse of light, and I survived all of that. Vultures tore my skin apart and made me almost beg for my life, but I stood firmly through the agonizing pain. And at this point, as I see the EAW Championship just an arm's reach away, I refuse to let it slip through my fingers like it did before, for this journey is now mine to control. I am the pilot. I am the captain of the ship. That is the role I intend to claim as I go forth to becoming EAW Champion, and what better event I can display that in than Showdown. Do you honestly think I would shake in fear overThe Triumvirate? Don't give me that rotten bullshit of how they will end my career and put me in my place, because those who have given me that same pitiful warning had nothing to show but the fact that they're nothing but a wasted bag of air. They're different faces with the same voices, always out there to prove how weak I am and how they could easily break me like a fucking toothpick, and yet I am still running rampant like a criminal on a killing spree. Who the fuck are you kidding? I am the definition of timeless excellence. I was new on Showdown and I was able to adapt like I was born to fight any kind of opponent that came my way. To qualify for the Elimination Chamber, I defeated Lannister, a man that no one, not even his own tag team partner could defeat no matter the emotional trauma that came with provoking the lion. Cowards will want to bury that fact in the ground because that's really about all they can do about it. They exercise their strengths with the High Rollers and force a partnership that they don't want in order to put up a tough front when all everyone can see are clenched jaws and a partnership bound to die. With the small challenges that they face with, it's enough to make them feel invincible and unstoppable to face the real challenges but its not enough to forget that they're on borrowed time with the belts so long as I exist in this company. After the Grand Prix is concluded at Road to Redemption and Di Consentes is announced the winning team, we will present every enemy's head on a silver platter just for Triumvirate -- all those who doubted us, those who made the fatal mistake of stepping in the ring with us, all those who were defeated because of their ambitions that they talk so highly about 'til they discover the horrible truth that they hold no power against gods -- all to let you know that you will be added to that collection as we take our Unified Tag Team Championships in a history-making reign, by this we prove to the world that you are just like every Joe and Sally that tried to cross us. And later that night, my hand will be raised in victory once more after a gruesome match in a body-crushing structure. When you embrace the idea of clashing with the enemies and getting the opportunity to bash their faces onto the steel chains that hold the cage together, you forget the idea of fear... it becomes anticipation, it turns into excitement. I have distanced myself from the whirlwind of emotions. I have separated myself from friendships and family that will only distract and compromise my future victories. I am fighting for my legacy, for the history I have built, for the greatness I continue to show... And I will continue to fight until I possess the one thing I've yearned for: the EAW Championship.

The next steps on this path, about to be made.

Admittedly deep down within the darkest depths of my soul I've been waiting eagerly for Road To Redemption to finally take place and precedence over everything else. Somewhere underneath this exterior lies a soul, that allows me to forgive and forget some things, while remembering others. In the beginning of this season, I saw into my own soul. I saw many things that came from each experience that has brought me this far. Admittedly, I've dug a little deeper, discovering a side of myself, that quite frankly I never knew even existed, and without apathy I've released that side to the world. I've done it for the betterment of everything that I am, have carefully chosen to represent in this present day, and will eventually become. What lied further within has helped me to continue to fulfill a purpose that builds with every passing week of each passing month, so unfortunate it is for those who wish to be detriments to my ascension, they are only seemingly able to watch on helplessly as that which lied inside was meant to make everything I've ever sought for come to be. It is strange. I had longed to enter this stage of my career. A point and time where I found myself conquering everything that got in my path and tried relentlessly to prevent my continued rise. I've left things behind me as I go, facing constant threats to my very existence, left with only yesterday's nostalgia that comprises of the many different experiences that have shaped this elitist. In a world filled with deception, manipulation, and much peril where the only veil that stands between all the perception of whats underneath is the courage to stand tall instead of standing down. Besides, it's not always the same as what took place in a given moment. Up to this point, I have been able to elude the worst of it. I proceed forward regardless of the circumstances, seizing each opportunity that's presented, and taking advantage of each in an effort to shape the future for myself and many others that are breaking the glass ceilings that were supposed to keep us all down a lot longer. Those past experiences I've endured through may have shaped this path that I've traveled. But they are all just from the variables of time, something that passes like a hand waving from a train, leaving us to hold on to bits and pieces as we await for the present to unfold. Preludes to the future that will soon come to be. For everyone that will be locked inside of that chamber, there will be suffering of a great degree. Though, it's the strongest souls with the most seared scars that have come from suffering that will manage to press on when the dust has settled. Reborn through their own labyrinth from having been wronged and committing terrible reprehensible atrocities just the same. It's not about the living or the dying part that taps our interests at this point, as we've all more than proven to one another the determination and resiliency we possess, that most others of far lesser skill sets or fervor haven't been able to show us otherwise on the bigger platforms that they can kill us. It allows us to feel empowered. We alone are limited only by our imaginations. No, it's not about the living or the dying part at all. It's about the emotional pain, something that can't be forgotten, and yet easily remembered by the bitter sweetness of failure that one can harbor from such an experience until they triumph once more. It's also about the physical pain, and how much can be endured just to reach a little higher, to break yet another glass ceiling, or perhaps succumbing to it for the final time.

But that's the part I look forward to the most.

Dying just a little more inside all the time.

Then we're reborn, still suffering with the same scars.

There's not a sad insipid little soul on the other side that has anything of worth to bring to the table this week that hasn't been offered up before. This is but that last big feast before officially going to war at Road To Redemption where bodies and perhaps even careers will be left permanently broken, and calamity marked with endless bloodshed will have it's moment in the light before everything they know becomes consumed by the darkness. They all have their own set of rules of engagement, but they all live by the same mantra. Kill or be killed. They live vicariously through themselves, or rather the results they've already achieved, with nothing but desperation in their very actions fueled by pride through their own folly. They both are inseparable, going together like two tightly grasping hands, and so much pride they're all filled with. So willing to impale themselves unto their very own swords, such enduring traits that they all share, I'm almost touched. None of them draw the ire of me more than the next. Living care free lives like the High Rollerz, that's only a short term solution for the many challenges they face in their uphill to get back what was taken from them. If that's not enough reason for them to come into a bout such as this with a serious mindset, to show that they do have something to lose. Well, then they've already lost. It's like the Triumvirate warned, when they want to they will eradicate you. You will have your penance. But this is something they share with either one of the Heart Break Gal or Theron Nikolas. They've been warned of the slippery grounds they continue to tread upon, and they still proceed willing to foolishly ignore it all believing they have the world in the palm of their hands, and that the stars are aligning just right for them. Time will soon tell the ending to their saga. While their on again - off again back up partner, Theron, finds himself languishing inside, trying real hard to build and fortify his walls as this elitist once again looks to decimate and destroy all of his hard work. So consumed lately by what this elitist has managed to accomplish just to be here, he would like to think that is the very root of his problems lately. They're not. The truth of the matter lies in what he has proven time and again to be incapable of, and that's his inability to stay focused. So long, this rookie that walked on a smooth path to success. He believed everything else would just fall right into place for him. It rarely if ever works that way, and he's coming to realize that he's walking on egg shells, hoping without the same certainty he once had that he is destined to be the face of the company, much less Showdown. His slow fall from grace, it will continue through the hands that have brought him here...his own. It's the same for them all, as I've said. They all expect to be on top of the world above the clouds sitting upon their thrones, reigning once again feeling untouchable and unconquerable. 

That's when they will come to know the difference between flying and falling once again.

Their karmatic ending will be written.

Then they're reborn with new scars...more pain to carry with them as they go.

They can all choose to ignore their fears by trying to prove how courageous they can be, investing all of their heart into seizing the moment, and still have to live vicariously through their past accomplishments when they do happen to fail in their pursuits. Fears of derision and humiliation that would leave them with nothing but regret. What hurts the most. The emotions that sting the worst. Longing for things that were taken from them, that they were never that deserving of in the first place. Forever desiring for what could've been. Wishing they were something greater than what they are, left dissatisfied with their existence in the world. That's why they are here. That's their fate. We all have choices to make. Choices that show everyone what we truly are more so than what we actually do once we have made those choices. The choices we make to solidify our position, our future. At Road To Redemption, everything that I'm eagerly awaiting to unfold will finally come to pass. The future will continue to take shape. This elitist will continue his rise.

And the next chapter of this story will begin.

The shadows of what could only be described as the ‘tool shed’ played havoc on the eyes as Eclipse ran his fingers slowly along the wooden table in front of him. His eyes shrouded by the freshly twisted hair that hung loosely from his face. What could be seen of his face seemed gaunt, devoid of life. The bits of his eyes that were visible were still shrouded, but more from a lack of sleep. He rocked side to side, his mind twisting and swirling with ideas that were trying to claw their way free from his subconscious. His hands ached with pain as they moved forward, running against the table until they grasped at the object he desired. His personal gas mask, which he tugged closer towards him, almost protectively. He needed it to be closer. He wanted it to be closer. His eyes continued to move along the table as he lifted the gas mask up to his face, not strapping it on, but pressing it to his lips and breathing in. Breathing in the air that had been stored inside. That pure oxygen that he had been craving. His escape from the world. He set the gas mask down after a few breaths, placing it against the table gingerly before his eyes trained up towards the camera he had set up. A smile could be seen under the blanket of hair and a whisper of a laugh escaped his lips as he leaned closer.


“One more chance to find myself in that prison of a structure. And our illustrious GM seemed oh so eager to keep me out of it, didn’t he? He acted as if me being in that structure at all...was a death sentence to his plans. Oh, how I have disappointed him, hm? How I have disappointed the great Starrstan, by choosing to fight for what is truly mine. How I have done him oh so many wrongs. I’m willing to admit my mistake. I didn’t take Scott Diamond seriously, and I paid for it. I paid for it and it has cost me a lot in my position that I was in. I’ve fallen down far...how the mighty have fallen and all that. I don’t like that fortune cookie shit, so I won’t delve too deeply into it. I’m willing to admit where I stand in this whole venture. So it does come as a bit of a...not a surprise, but a delight, when I’m looked at the way I am by my two opponents. Not with confidence. With trepidation. After all, you two stand here and you should have all the confidence in the world. You two should be ready to beat me to a pulp, and after all...you should be able to. I have lost rather convincingly as of late. I’m not the same monster I once was, and instead have been reduced down to my baser parts. You could each consider me pathetic, no challenge, a nuisance, whatever have you, and you two would both be correct. I’m not at all a true beast or a true nightmare. And yet...you both still regard me as that. You both understand just what I can do in that ring. You both understand that despite me not being as much of a monster as I used to be, I am still a monster. I’m still a destructive force. And despite anything else that happens...I’m still the most dangerous threat in that ring. Hell or high water, I am going into that chamber, despite whatever obstacles I have faced in my career. Despite Smiles and Hawks best efforts...I am going into that chamber. Which leads me to the conundrum that I face. I have to get through both challenges. Not just Target Smiles, and not just Hurricane Hawk, but both of them. And that’s something that is no easy feat. Both of them are strong opponents. People that have waged wars of such intensity that...well I shudder to think of what they could accomplish if they were truly unleashed. But that’s beside the point. Besides whatever trepidation I may have against them, I have to push past them. I have to be better than them, no matter what. The only obstacle that currently stands in my way is myself, and no matter what I have to overcome it. I’ve been stagnant...I’ve been lost. I continue to struggle in the shadows that I created for myself, and like a fool I can’t crawl free of them. I am a worm wriggling at the end of a dark and hollow world, where nothing seems to matter. Despite everything else I’ve done, this is an obstacle I have yet to conquer...and the two of you are standing in the way of it now. So...no matter how much respect I may have for the both of you, I have to defeat you both. Wish I could say that I felt bad for this...but I don’t. You are roadblocks to me. Glass shards in my life that no matter how many times you cut me, won’t stand in my way.


Of course, I must say that the most talkative of all of you is also the one that is the most dangerous. Hurricane Hawk. The only one to stand up to my claim of being in the Chamber, and the one that is the biggest threat to it. How fitting then that you are the one that has said the most during this encounter. Surprisingly we haven’t met each other all that much in our time on Dynasty, you and legend and I...an up and comer I suppose, in comparison to you. That doesn’t mean that I’ve overlooked you, I know a lot about you Hawk. This is your gasp as greatness, is it not? You’ve struggled for awhile up to this point, coming up short a few times and seizing small bits of glory, but never really able to pull something free from it all. You are a man of conviction, a man of power. Truly a worthy foe, but you aren’t designed for this chamber. This chamber, this house of horrors, isn’t a place for a warrior like you. You are meant for greater battlefields, greater hallowed grounds of glory, than the one that you’ve found yourself at. You see, the Chamber that you are in. I’ve been in one myself. I remember the pain of it. The agony that I’ve felt throughout the entirety of it and the sense of...hopelessness that it entails. I found myself drowning in despair and fear. It was reminiscent of the prison that I found myself in, when I was younger, you understand that? A glass enclosure, with others looking into it and grinning madly as they prod me. As if I was a beast. Something to poke at and humor at. To make fun of and laugh at as if I were an animal. Only...the last time I was in that chamber, I found what I could do. Channel all of that desperation and fear into something constructive...or rather...destructive. When I tear apart those inside that hell with me, until all their judging eyes looked away from me. Till everything that they could use to throw against me, was drowned in their bloodied tears and fear drenched faces. You understand, Hawk? What I want to create in that chamber is a nightmare beyond all measure. My personal world of chaos and fear, where the eyes of the judgemental are plucked free from their skulls, and the madness that is inside of me can instead absorb them, and give to them the hell that rots away at my organs and tears away at my soul. You, are a warrior of light. You need the spotlight upon you, you need the adoration of the crowd, the jovial looks on their faces, and the happiness that follows suit with that. This Chamber offers none of that, Hawk. This chamber doesn’t offer you happiness, it doesn’t offer you solace. It offers you nothing but disdain. Fear. Pain. And above all else...absolute terror. Terror is what my family specializes in. It’s in our name. It’s in our blood. And though you were the one that had the balls to challenge me head on for my claim, you seem to be misinformed about what it has meant that I have fallen from grace.


I haven’t been displaced as the most dangerous animal in the food chain of Dynasty, I’ve simply been stalking the jungles without hunting. I stopped killing for hunger, and instead chose to kill because I wanted to. Now...now the monster is hungry again. It needs to eat. It needs to feed, because if it doesn’t, if it starves, it will simply kill all in the jungle. Gorging itself until there is no life remaining, except its own twisted heart. And then...what is left? So, I have to satiate it. I have to satisfy this monster that I have created. This mask of flesh that I wear has to be torn away, revealing the beast inside of it, and you are just one such meal for it, Hawk. Despite what begrudging respect I have for you, I can’t allow myself to lose to you so decisively when I haven’t done what I have wanted to do yet. You had the courage to challenge me, and for that I have to applaud you. But the courage to challenge me, doesn’t necessarily mean that you have the ability to backup your challenge. You have the heart of a champion...but having the heart of a champion doesn’t mean that I won’t simply rip it out of your body.  And when your bleeding body reaches up for me, and as the darkness envelops you, all you need do...is drown in that darkness. Fall into your despair, Hawk. I’ll be waiting for you at the bottom.

As for the other opponent, Smiles I must ask you something. Do you wear your mask for the tradition, or because it simply hides who you truly are? We all wear masks for one reason or another, some it’s for tradition. Others to hide their identity. And for some...for some like me...it’s because underneath our masks we feel safer. The people that we must hide our faces from would never understand. They would never accept us for who were were if we tore the masks off all the time. Which is why I wear this one...no not the gas mask. The gas mask is my calming agent, it’s a sort of paper bag for the world. It lets me hide, lets me relax. Allows me to...stop and think. To figure out where I am in this world. No, the mask I speak of...is my identity. My identity as Eclipse. As Joseph. All a mask. A mask of flesh and blood that hides me and makes me who I am on the outside. This mask of my identity that hides the twisted monster underneath. That mask that I wear. And unlike you...I’m not afraid to take this mask off due to identity or tradition. My fear is that when I take the mask off, Smiles, I won’t be able to put it back on. I fear that it won’t let me. The beast that lurks just underneath it will not allow me to put this mask on. It won’t let me remain as I am. This human creation that keeps it chained. You have every right to fear me, but you shouldn’t fear Eclipse. You shouldn’t fear Joseph. What you should fear...is what lurks underneath. This last name of mine has made up what I am. This last name, this family that I’m from, this clan...it means so much more than Terror. It is a lifestyle. A culture. And its black tome is going to be what rules EAW. Smiles, for your sake you should stay out of my way...because when this mask comes off...when I pull it free...you and everyone you love...is going to die. Smiles. Hawk. Scared yet?”

Seasons collapse into one another. The planets exchange their houses. And down on little earth men fret and quarrel upon shifting sands of uncertainty. Yet blessed are we because amidst the din of uncertainty there are some stable lights in the distance to serve as our points of reference. A Northern star to guide us back home. A sun that always rises each day. Unvanquished. Unconquered. A sun that even in the depths of the darkest night informs us of its continued presence by casting rays of the surface of the moon. What will be, will be. What is, is. And not even all the legions of hell and the combined labours of man can dent what is destined and true. That is the power of a prophecy. The power of a Covenant signed, restated, and reaffirmed in strokes of blood. Such is the will of the Lord.

Mr. Dampshaw, I congratulate you for having impressed thus far in your fledgling EAW career. However, I would advise that you reign in your presumptions. Faith is a powerful thing. Even when placed in something as frail and fallible as one's own human self it can inspire even the most average of men to deeds of greatness. I know this truth more intimately than most. Which is why you should take heed when so warn you of the circumstances that surround your immediate fate. All the men that have stood before you up until this moment...from the broken shell of a man that was once The Mexican Samurai, to the delusional Aka Manah, to all of the raw hopefuls you faced down on NEO...they are no true representation of what challenges await you now that you have but cut your teeth. I understand that you are a man who is used to being in control. But up here in these lofty heights control is a scarce luxury. It is usually thin like the air at the top of the mountain. One cannot rest upon his laurels or upon something so insubstantial as a name. Those that do quickly become another casualty on the slopes and are forgotten. It is therefore a most merciful blessing that I should humble you this week. Surely it is better to temper your expectations and make clear your diminutive role in the universe early.

You see, the Invictus is not a name passed down through the generations like your own. Rather, it is earned. Since the very start of the Seasons, not a soul has managed to best me one on one. This is not arrogance to point out. Only the most banal of observations. Neither the monstrous and ever present main event figures of Eclipse Diemos and Scott Oasis could pin me. Nor could the Hall of Famer Jacob Senn. Nor the other challenger for my Cash In The Vault briefcase, Ahren Fournier. And most recently of course it was the newly crowned Hardcore champion who could not endure the punishment wrought by these HANDS, And now thanks a God that he doesn't believe in for the title not being on the line. There are many talented and fearsome men battling for supremacy here on Dynasty. But as I have made clear over the weeks and months, I do not fear them, Mr Dampshaw… but they fear me.

At Road To Redemption a number of Dynasty’s finest step foot into the elimination chamber to fight tooth and claw just to allow their fingers to grip that most holiest of holiest in this industry - the Answers World Championship. Whatever your thoughts regarding the very necessary sacrifices that had to be made at House of Glass, I too have no taste for violence without meaning. I have said it before, the elimination chamber is far less an opportunity than it is a punishment. Why else would it take place in a cell under such frightening conditions? From the clustered, claustrophobic bodies to the wailing and gnashing of teeth that follows when cruel weaponry tastes human flesh and blood. It akin to an olden time shambles, except here the animals slaughter each other while the promoters need only lick their lips at the butchered meat. But that is the least of their problems. Regardless of what goes on in that chamber, no matter how good of a performance any individual makes, one solid truth remains. One glimmering star on the horizon retains the attention of all involved. For I need only say the word and even the most Herculean of efforts in that chamber will come  to naught because the Answers World Championship is mine whenever I should wish it.

First though, our business. Reginald Dampshaw III will have done extremely well if some time in the years beyond now he could call Nico Borġ an ally. Unfortunately for you that is not a development that you have the means to bring to fruition. Know your place...not now at the top of the ladder, not even close. Though to be fair you have cleared those bottom rungs the challenge is to not merely slip back down. You hang now in the balance. Caught in the middle. Holding on by the finger tips amidst the eye of the tempest. Few things here can be presumed or taken for granted except but a few simple truths...

“Brayden Wolfe? Who the hell even is that - why am I facing him?”

(The angry, booming voice asking that question belongs to a very disgruntled Scott Oasis who is sat down and reading over his plans for the week, having gotten them from Sebastian Monroe. Scott Oasis waves the paper around in front of Sebastian as Sebastian gestures for him to ease up.)

Sebastian Monroe: Calm down Scott. Try not to get too fiery, we have to film some promotion for this right now, we don’t need to mess up any connections we have by scaring the people send out. I know you were looking to focus on preparation for Road to Redemption but when Starr Stan called me about the booking he apparently needed you in action for back to back weeks. It’s very telling to be honest. It goes to show the state of Friday Night Dynasty under his watch. You’re the only bright spot that is left! Dynasty is currently a ghost town as far as talent goes, there’s almost nobody of substance in those locker rooms. People aren’t wanting to tune in to see the trash being dragged out to the the ring to compete on a weekly basis. Absent of any skill. Zero charisma or sense of star power. No draws! What type of “name” Elitist would there be on the show without you? What would Dynasty have worth seeing? You HAVE to save the episode, much like you have to save the program in general and will do so once you get your deserving Answers World title reign. This only shows your value to the brand at the end of the day and hey, you have yourself ring ready for the Pay Per View anyway, might as well do it while getting paid by taking the match.

(Scott Oasis calms down slightly, going back to read over the schedule while still showing a semblance of tension by roughly gripping the paper. He uses his free hand to reach across the table he is sat at and take a sip from his glass of Bourbon, taking a deep and letting out a sigh after he finishes drinking, the taste of the whiskey fully soothing his anger for the moment.)

Scott Oasis: Don’t get me wrong. The price tag that will come with this glorified warm up isn’t an issue, I love that part of it, but what I don’t love is that management would a waste a potential Scott Oasis CLASSIC - a rare weekly match appearance on this low level. Instead of giving me the body I have been asking for: The Pizza Boy or even sending Nasir Moore to my doorstep so I can handle him, they send me Brayden Wolfe. Another one to the list of those overhyped prospects I have been talking about this season, those “great young wrestlers with loads of potential!” What, does that name number 1000 of that type of wrestler? The commentators and the wrestling critics are giving him all sorts of cosigns meanwhile no one on this planet is buying tickets to see this guy or would so much as care if he left. People are wise enough not to invest in him because he is the equivalent of one of those create a wrestlers off 2k18. Generic. Bland. Boring. Just a bunch of flashy cool looking shit thrown into a blender that has no meaning or depth behind it. There’s nothing to him that is fleshed out or adaptable and that includes his in ring performances. He can’t progress; his career is not going to be long lasting! He can not get through a match with a true top tier Elitist and that’s what truly makes him like one of those thrown together game characters, they can’t hold a candle to the real thing. The authentic, truly battle tested STARS of the ring.

He’ll probably be irrelevant in two to three months anyway like his predecessors; going the way of Khamsin. Now Brayden won the EVO Series which got him some attention but let us look at that objectively. Is it worth bragging about your “claim to fame” if said claim is winning never ending tournament in developmental that nobody followed, had a questionable point system, a revolving door of competitors and a thrown together semi final round that you were automatically put into? I wouldn’t even want to say I was in that shit show of an event, let alone that I won it. *motions to the camera as if he’s talking to Brayden personally* What do you have other than that embarrassing feat? Oh yeah. That’s right! You have experience! You were here before actually, you were on Showdown last year! You sucked then too. You were here back in 2016 and you were getting pushed down our throats with the same angle they’re doing now; a fresh face who is on the verge of breaking out! “ He’s so new and good in the ring! Look at him” but when you were made to prove yourself you flopped like you were a fish out of water. Which is a good comparison seeing as once you were taken out of your role as a young buck with potential and actually had to ACHIEVE that potential, it was made clear you were not close to touching that next level. Your one moment in the sun was a Showdown main event for the Interwire Championship where you ended up tapping out to a women who you had one hundred pounds over and already had the opportunity to wear her down in two separate falls prior to that. Once that was over and management realized they had to take the foot off the gas on their little project and left you up to your own devices, you showed you could not recover from your bringing down to earth. After that it was just weeks of you losing, bleeding on the floor, screaming in pain after every match and of course I can not forget the highlight of your career, the one event that summed up your whole run; you getting punked out and doused in piss by Piff Fumador, something you were too weak and too much of a pussy to ever retaliate against. You pretty much lost all credibility once that happened. I know you vanished after that and tried to lay low hoping people would let it go - and some have done that, lucky enough for you and your rebirth this year - but I still remember you and who you are. No amount of hiding or repackaging will be able to cover up your faults. When the hype goes away you’ll be back to square one and end up in the same hole you fell in last year so really, this return of yours seems pointless overall. You’ve already been exposed. There’s no way you can coast for much longer before you get exposed again.

You’ve shown us so much about yourself that you’re never going to shake off. You’ve shown that you’re an incompetent athlete whose peak is being at the CUSP, not even HOLDING a secondary championship. You’ve shown that you can win some easy matches but once you hit a roadblock all you can do is continue downhill! But worst of all you have shown that you’re a no willed, cowardly little bitch who can’t even stand up for himself when faced with the ultimate disrespect. You’re no fighter. You can pretend to be a big deal when you’re hanging out on NEO and your biggest competition are The Woogieman and the Deadpool cosplay but you aren’t lasting here in the big leagues, not on my Dynasty, we’re about to chew you up again and send you right back out. It’s insulting that in one of my few regular show wrestling matches I am getting this man as my opponent, he is the culmination of this cavalcade of ham and eggers who have been thrown my way as of late. Hurricane Hawk, Maero, now we’re capping it off with this guy, I can’t take it anymore! If you’re going to spend the money to convince me to put on my boots you might as well make that money thrown my way worth your while because while I may put butts in seats with my presence they’re definitely not going to be able to expect to long of a show. They’re going to have to watch very closely and make sure not to go to the bathroom because when they come back I’m going to be done with this guy. This match is more of an interruption than proper training but no matter. I’ll just imagine it’s one of my opponents next week. It’ll make it quicker. Your true, UNCROWNED Answers World Champion is going to show you all how it is done when he makes short work of his enemy this Friday. You will being seeing a legitimate badass, a disciplined competitor, a person you can actually believe in when holding a title, a real man amongst a roster full of children making chump change! There’s a difference between the rest of the roster and I and if it’s not apparent yet it’s going to be apparent soon enough.

Brayden Wolfe you’re just another nobody in the business who’d be better off shining my shoes.
