Originally Cloud first made her appearance in WWE 2K15. I was thinking of a Sky Pirate concept for a high flying female wrestler (This was before I learned of Kairi Hojo) and Cloud was one of the names available. Matsuda is one of my favorite surnames and its the name of the man who trained Hulk Hogan, Hiro Matsuda. Even though FF7 is my 2nd favorite JRPG of all time (Suikoden 2 is my first), Cloud Strife played no part in my creation of Cloud Matsuda. I later used the name Stephanie because of an angle where Cloud gave up on her Sky Princess moniker. Later on, the "Cloud" name has become sort of a pseudo alternate first name/nickname. |
