I was a new guy. I didn't try to start shit or complain about anything, I let the writers take me where I needed to go and lo and behold here I am.

The writers are not beholden to you. You are not the be all end all of their existence. They don't HAVE to do anything with your character.

A good chunk of these new guys are in some pretty prime fucking spots. Rex McAllister is a champion, we had Ryan Marx as a champ, Lars Grier is rocking it, etc etc.

There have been PLENTY of successful new people to arrive in the past year to year and a half. In fact, all three of the brands are overrun with guys that appeared in the last two to three years and have experienced their share of success.
