| We've had Brian do a very similar idea with simulations and such but with the increase in popularity of the Pokémon Showdown game in chat, I figured why not expand to that? For those who don't know, Pokémon Showdown is a site that allows you to legitimately do Pokémon battles with others much like the actual games. If you're interested in signing up, just say you're in. Once we get at least 8, I'll set up the tournament matches, although if there does seem to be more demand I'll bump up the number of participants.
Please note that you have an option of doing either a random battle with pokemon teams being given to you, or you can create your own teams. Both players must agree for it to be a team created battle though. Battles would be preferred to have at least one other person witnessing it so that we can confirm for sure who won. |

| And here we go, the matches for the opening round! I placed the matches in pairs because the winners of those battles will be facing each other in the next round. NOTE: THIS PHASE OF THE ROUND WILL ONLY LAST FOR TWO DAYS (POSSIBLE EXTENSION IF REASON GIVEN), YOU HAVE UNTIL THEN TO SET UP THE BATTLE WITH YOUR OPPONENT. SHOULD ANYONE GO INACTIVE IN THE TOURNEY, THEY WILL BE DQ'ED AND THEIR OPPONENT WILL GET A BYE.

Aren vs Haruna
Scott vs SK
Crash vs JJ
Vic vs Nico
Imp vs Nobi
Before any battle the two parties can decide whether their battle will be only one match or best two out of three.
Keep in mind that this thread CAN be used to discuss and set up battle times with your opponent so if there is any big difference in time zones make your availability known for a meet up.
Site Link: http://viridian.psim.us/ for those unfamiliar, its exactly the same as Showdown, the lobby is just less cluttered so it will be a lot easier for us to talk on the chat and spectate tournament battles. |
