Japanese wrestling reporter Enuhito noted on Twitter that current IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kenny Omega revealed he has 3 offers from WWE last year. Enuhito tweeted the following on the NJPW star:

"Kenny Omega has revealed he got offer from WWE for 3 times last year.

But he stays in NJPW because he has one thing left here. It's Ibushi."

While this could just be his kayfabe reasoning and he never intends to go to WWE at all, this could potentially mean that, after all is said and done with Ibushi, Omega will be willing to leave New Japan and sign a WWE contract and it's worth noting that Omega has been appearing on Xavier Woods' UpUpDownDown channel recently, suggesting he's good friends with some of the guys in the 'E aready.

As stoked as I'd get seeing the OmegaMan battling Balor, Joe, Breeze, and others, I can't shake the feeling that they wouldn't know what to do with him. 

Omega in Japan is money. He's massively over, just became the leader of the biggest faction there, and he seems motivated. No doubt he'd be excited to join the WWE (who wouldn't?) but he'd have to take a backseat to the bigger names and I just don't see him doing that after everything he's accomplished.

Either way, I'll watch anything he does. Omega is Gawd.

I'm not sure what to think of it just yet. I could see him down the line (2-3 years) heading to WWE, but for now I think he may stay in NJPW and see how far he can go. He's already massively over and seems set to achieve mega-star status, but WWE has ways of tugging on people that even the most elite in Japan or Mexico can find it hard to refuse once they make the call. (Del Rio, Nakamura, Mistico, etc.)

I'd have to agree with this. Maybe in 2-3 years he could leave but he should get the push to become one of their bigger stars in Japan for the future.
