My perfect definition of an instructor is to be charismatic, no one likes a fucking dick. To be knowledgeable in his or her topic, I want the person to teach from their own knowledge not straight from a book. And also to give some homework every now and then and to be structured.

- Legitimately intelligent
- Knowledgeable in his or her field and not some wonderbread "utility teacher" who is teaching a class their credentials don't warrant
- Likable, enthusiastic, positive demeanor
- Understanding/empathetic, not a douche with unreasonable expectations
- Doesn't put you on blast when you aren't paying attention, tries to talk you after class about it rather than make petty attempts to humiliate you

That's pretty much it. It's not very hard to follow these guidelines.
