| 1-0 before Messi enters around 60'
2-0 Messi, 3-0 Messi, 4-0 Messi, 5-0 Aguero (Created by Messi)
He scored a hat trick in 26 mins. The whole Argentina team couldn't find a way through 10 Panama men for over 30 mins (despite being on the front foot) and Messi being on the field changed everything. Yeah I realize it's JUST Panama but to have so much impact in such little time after returning from injury shows how great of a player Messi is. Absolutely Amazing. |

I gues I just leave it here. Couple thoughts: - Losing sucks, and being one of the biggest reasons it happens due to a shocking penalty miss has to feel like absolute shit. Messi was still reeling from that miss through the rest of the shootout, and it may lead to a knee-jerk reaction. Knee-jerk reactions sometimes include saying very final things that you don't actually mean. At the same time, there's always a player who is the reason for a loss in a final, and they don't immediately decide to retire. - The Argentina Football Association is terrible, and Messi's already expressed frustration with them on social media. I don't know if it's in jest or actual frustration, as I'm not good at translating Spanish, but if players like Javier Mascherano and Sergio Aguero are considering retiring too, it wouldn't be a surprise if the governing body is a major part of the reason. At the same time, this may be a feint by some big name players. Football and UFC are different, yes, but it's worth remembering that Conor McGregor recently retired, made everybody go nuts, and un-retired in a couple of days. What I'm hoping is that this is a message to the AFA to get their shit together, not only with things such as booking flights, but also to end the corruption that's going on there that may see their FIFA membership in danger. |

| I doubt Lionel is going to be retiring. He was just caught up in the heat of the moment. For the greatest player in the world to go through four consecutive situations of being in Finals, of course it is going to cast a heavy toll for him. |

| Hats off to Cristiano who gave a lot of motivation outside the pitch for his teammates and show people that he's still there even he's not fighting with them. Such a great example of a leader he is. Salute! |

Aside from Eder framing Koscielny, nah. France could've killed the game when Portugal were losing Ronaldo in the first half, but they didn't. France made a few fishy subs too, so in no way were they ever robbed considering they were facing a Ronaldo-less Portugal for basically 3/4 of the game |
