The fundraiser was started by Brody's long-time friend Melissa -- from whom she took her beloved character's government name and hometown. It warms my heart that this was started, because funerals can be so expensive and making some headway to get this taken care of could possibly take a ton of weight off of Brody's family's shoulders.
