Can anyone tell me of someone else using the Elbow Drop the same time Savage was? Or when CM Punk was there? 

People are always gonna protect moves that are seen as "theirs", and if not the wrestlers themselves, the company will. Have zero problem with it either way. Besides, I'm pretty sure Hojo can find some other moves to do that will pop the crowd.

Kairi was signed before Bayley debuted it as her new finisher at WM 33, and considering she does it far better and now we won't get to see her perform it in WWE, I'd say that's plenty to be upset about. Obviously there's nothing anyone can do about it, but it's a shame, especially considering Bayley's elbow already fails to end matches.

Bayley's diving elbow is absolute garbage. But yeah, the kids like her and her merchandise so of course her move doesn't get messed with.

But well, at least Kairi still can use this....

As cool as the Uraken is and I love that move to death, it's hard to see it as finisher for anyone other then Aja Kong but still we could see her do her old Sliding Forearm finisher.

I'm dying because there are legit folks in here talking as if this was Bayley's call to make??? It must be exhausting to be that clueless. At least if you're gonna get in your feelings, be mad at the right people/person. WWE has let people use duplicate moves before. Why they're not doing it now, I wish I knew.

As much as I adore Bayley -- off the top of my head, I can't say I've ever seen a better elbow drop than Kairi's. When I heard she got signed, the first thing I got hyped about was the idea of her hitting it in a WWE ring, so I'm kinda bummed that won't actually be happening.

Does this mean the smarks will turn on Bayley now and stop their irrational love for her?

Pretty sure they already turned on her a while back when it became clear she can't promo to save her life and her stealing the show with Sasha in NXT was just lightning in a bottle.

Granted, you could argue the women don't necessarily get the same big spotlight and time to put on a great match like they did in NXT (minus Sasha and Charlotte's Best of 50 Series), but it's most likely just because they aren't as good as people made them out to be, like Paige.

Though like Aria said, none of this is on Bayley, just WWE for making the call when they were well aware of Kairi using the diving elbow quite a while before they suddenly made it Bayley's move. Yeah, Kairi is practically a nobody to them, but even so, pretty lame.

Bayley was just fortunate enough to get to work with Sasha, Charlotte, and Becky, and that's the end of it. On her own, she's shit. Asuka carried her in both their matches. Bayley vs Sasha was one of the better matches that year but only because Bayley was an effective underdog and Sasha was a GOAT heel. It's just annoying to have so many talented people on the roster and then see Bayley as champion. At least Alexa has it now, since she's someone with actual talent. I think the more annoying thing is - why the fuck did Bayley add the elbow drop to her moveset? It's not like the WWE imposes moves on you, wrestlers are largely in charge with developing their own movesets. Bayley is shit in every other aspect of the ring, the fuck makes her think she can do a half-way decent elbow drop in the first place? And yes, when dipshits like Bayley do shit like this, there are always unforeseen circumstances like this; Kairi Hojo not being able to do her elbow drop.

Wanted to respond to this earlier but wasn't able to because of work. While I can understand why people, especially Kairi, would be miffed here are a few reasons why I'm not too upset about it.

1. Kairi didn't innovate the move. While who does it better is not really a question in my mind, unless Kairi invented/innovated the move, I don't really think it's all that much worth getting hot/bothered over. I would definitely be with the hate train on this if that were the case but since it's not.....

2. Bayley has tenure in the company and used it first in said company. While Kairi used it before Bayley did, Bayley has been in WWE longer and was using it in WWE first. Tenure, regardless of occupation, usually wins out in the workplace. It's not right or wrong, it's just how things usually go. 

3. Unless Bayley was a bit of an asshole and demanded that be made official, it could be just WWE coming down and saying "don't do this move". They've limited wrestlers before and they will continue to limit them long after Bayley and Kairi have come and gone. Other than missing out on someone doing an awesome move, I'm not really sure what's there to be pissed off about here. And honestly, unless it's known that Bayley was in HHH/Vince's ear about it I don't see why the hate bombs that have graced this forum have been lobbed at her. Is she not that great on the mic? Yup. Is she a bit overrated as a wrestler? Yup. But unless we KNOW she was the one behind this I think it's just a little unfair to crush her over it.

Not shocking. It's not like WWE gives a fuck about actual wrestling or about making money. It's pretty much a circle jerk.

I guess the logic behind giving Bayley the elbow is because the other horsewomen have their own top rope moves. Becky's leg drop, Charlotte's amazing moonsault/corkscrew moonsault, and Sasha's meteora. Can't let your merch baby fall behind I guess.

Add on to this with the statement that Kairi Hojo isn't that well known to American audiences outside of the IWC. Most of us know her from her short stint in LU, and even then she didn't use the elbow drop. So with her appearing in WWE...the elbow drop would look cool but would be met with mixed reactions. Not saying I'm not sad, but I can understand the reasoning.
