WHO ARE YOU?: Luke Cage was originally known as Carl Lucas. He grew up boxing and playing football. His secret love was wrestling. Living in the streets of New York and with little to no guidance, Carl was left to fend for himself. So he turned to a life of crime and joined a gang. Eventually landing in prison. But what he didn’t know was that his best friend was the one to frame him. He found out, and believes by joining the EAW he will find the contacts he needs to face the man that forced Carl Lucas to become Luke Cage. While in prison, Carl Lucas was forced to fight to the death once a week. Until that one night. They asked for volunteers for a scientific study and they would be exonerated. Carl Lucas was given HZT, a drug thought to enhance the brain. A half hour after taking the pill, Carl Lucas took his last breath. Luke Cage woke up with sensations he never felt before. His mind was working at a higher level. He could watch things and memorize them instantly. He became a very terrifying strategist. But what they didn’t expect Luke Cage would not feel pain. The synapses and chemicals connected to pain were nonexistent. During his recovery and training he decided he wanted to pursue his secret passion, wrestling. So he spent a year recovering, and is now looking for make a name for himself. At some point, Luke Cage intervened on WuCufer, a famous rapper from Harlem's behalf and helped him out a dangerous situation. Now they are like brothers. WuCifer pulled some connections and got him a tryout at the EAW. There he saw his old friend Wade Wilson. The two of them said if they made it to EAW one day they would team together. So Harlem's Hero is a member of Heroes for Hire.
