The best way I can explain it is one day my friend and I were riding through my home town and one of us said something out loud.  I don't remember what it was. I couldn't tell you to save my life, but I know that we both had the exact same, seemingly unrelated, and insanely obscure thing pop into our heads at the same time shortly after.  I said it out loud first and it freaked him the fuck out.

We also have a similar sense of humor, we like to argue, we like to be right about what we argue about.  We both have older brothers that are about the same age, we both had a hectic home life that involved moving around when we were young, and by some strange twist of fate our mothers happen to have the same first and middle name.  I don't know.  There's just something cosmically there that drew us together to be friends, to the point that his wife has had nightmares about us eloping and leaving her alone and pregnant.  I've also managed to fool my mom on April Fools day by telling her that I was 'coming out' and that my friend and I were moving to Missouri, leaving the kids with his wife.  She bought it.  We're that horrifyingly close as friends.  Like Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Shaun of the Dead close.  Turk and JD from shitty ass Scrubs close.
