| I don't mean like a video game console or something of that nature that's useful to you in your daily life. I mean like an heirloom or something that has a lot of sentimental value to you that you can't imagine parting with. |

| A leather watch that my grandpa (RIP) gave me like seven years ago. It stopped working and became unfixable in the first two years but I still keep it around. |

| I probably should have put this in the thread description, but for me it's a hunting knife I got from my Grandpa as part of his will. He died in 2002 or so, and even though the blade has dulled, it still means a lot to me because it's one of the few things I have to remember him by. |

| This might be a funny answer, but in all honesty: my pillow. I already have my pillow since I was a baby. And now in the age of 22, I still have it. I dot know man, that pillow has always been on my side. |

| well when I was 4, my paternal grandmother gave me stuffed animal. It was a monkey that we called scubby (Don't ask where the name from, I have literally no clue whatsoever). I've had him ever since and occasionally I do sleep with him. (blush)
When I have my first born child I will pass him on to him/her. |

When I have my first born child I will pass him on to him/her. I've had a stuffed lion since the age of 4 that I still keep in my bed. He's an excellent pillow (and yes, he's a HE, dammit!) Besides that, i have a drawing of Spaceman Spiff that my grandfather drew when I was a young boy. We really bonded in his later years over Calvin and Hobbes and comics and stuff. I'm considering getting it as a tattoo just in case the original gets misplaced next time we move. |

| Nothing.
Never been overly attached to anything. I had a few items that I found hard to donate when I was cleaning out my house before moving states two years ago but nothing that I really treasured. I think my parents have a few things lying around the home they'll eventually pass onto me, but for now I don't have anything that fits the bill. |

| A ring with my birthstone (garnet) that I got from my great-grandparents as a present for my thirteenth birthday. I've worn it virtually every day since then. I was pretty attached to it from the moment I got it, but it's meant even more to me since my great-grandma passed away last year. |

| Nothing. I've never been one to care much for material things that much. I guess that's more of a learned thing since I used to have a strong bond to my stuffed animals as a kid before they were needlessly thrown away. |

| When I was younger, I always used to think I'd never give up my various collections (video games, wrestling trading cards, Pokemon cards, CDs, magazines) but now I've grown very sentimental to my old journals and photos. I have a fear of one day losing even the smallest events of my life |

| There's nothing on this earth that I'd run into a burning building to save or anything, or would be unwilling to give up if I were facing starvation or eviction. My dad kind of instilled this sort of non-sentimental streak in me I think. There are things I've kept to remember the past, but if I had to I'd let them go. The only things that I think would incite remote emotional turmoil from me would be a fob watch a friend gave me when he got married as a groomsman present, and a pair of shorts my dad gave me when I was little that I couldn't fit in then but can fit in now. The watch was worthless the day he gave it to me and has since broken, and the shorts are torn to shreds, but they're my laundry day shorts and that watch is one of the few gifts I've ever agreed to take from someone that was non-familial. If it still worked, or was worth the money to fix it, I'd probably give it to my friend's kid when he grew old enough to have and appreciate it. Even then I'd tell him to try and pawn it if he got into any financial scrapes. |

| My mom's wedding ring. It's probably the only physical thing I have left to remind me of her. She passed away 6 years ago, so having it around makes me feel safe and happy. |

| Similar to Rami. When I was in middle school, my grandfather gave me this small wooden ornate clock he got when he was in the navy during the Vietnam War. He just saw me looking at it and wanted me to have it. I think any of the grandchildren would have been thrilled to get it, but I was always the one that spent more time with him. He would take me fishing bait the line for me and help me reel it in. He would go out of his way to come pick me up so I wouldn't spend a summer day doing nothing and find something for me to do. He died suddenly about a month later and it's always stuck with me that he felt compelled to give me that item at that time. The gears on the inside seem worn out and it runs too slow to really function right anymore. But I still display it like anyone would and I still adjust the time to catch it up ever so often. |

So your son is a possession (object) rather than a person? |

| I'm not too materialistic and I'm not too sentimental either but I wouldn't give up the U2 WMO bomber jacket my dad had worn and gave to me a few years ago. |
