| Darth of House Lannister - The Angel of Debt, The Star of the Mourning, The Disciple of War, Emperor of Showdown, Das Kaiser, The Imperial Eagle, The Lannister Lion, Debt Collector, The Inaugural King of Elite, Keeper of the Reign, The Elite Lord, The Champion of Champions, The One that Rings True... and reigning Answers World Champion.'s AMA. What do you wish to ask Lannister? But buyer beware, Lannister's answers come with a price. And with recent conquests, how the price has just gone up. ...annoying Lannisterisms aside, ask away:

AND WHERE'S MY APPRECIATION ESSAY? I'VE WAITED A LONG TIME DAMN IT. WHEN, you say? 1. Jamie O'Hara vs. Lannister - Voltage 2014 (Jamie O'Hara's debut) (1-0 Lannister) (1.5 Voltage Elimination Chamber - Road To Redemption 2014 - Lannister pins Jamie O'Hara to eliminate him.) 2. Jamie O'Hara vs. Lannister - King of Elite Voltage Finals - Voltage 2015 (2-0 Lannister) 3. Lannister & Zack Crash vs. Jamie O'Hara & Vic Vendetta - Voltage 2015 (3-0 Lannister) 4. Jamie O'Hara vs. Lannister - King of Elite 2015 (4-0 Lannister) ---- AND WHERE? When Lannister stops getting booked in prominent matches. But your essay is due, a debt the crown owes upon to you.

| How'd you come up with Lannister's gimmick? He's absolutely fascinating.
What's the deal with him speaking in 3rd person? (Sorry I'm a noob)
Anything your the most proud of in EAW? The least proud of?
This isn't a question, but I'm going to let you know that you are the f***** GOAT! You deserve that title, and I hope we face each other someday. |

This isn't a question, but I'm going to let you know that you are the f***** GOAT! You deserve that title, and I hope we face each other someday. 1. It just basically started with the pic base of Cesaro and my fascination for Game of Thrones. Cesaro has been my favorite for quite some time now, and I guess you can just say I stumbled upon him at the right time. He's so physical with his in-ring execution, and I felt like he just has "THAT" look you could turn into a great gimmick. So I applied my Game of Thrones fandom and interest to him, and figured "Lannister" is the most interesting and fitting theme/family of "Power" from the show. Past that, I've always been a huge fan of Germany (I'm not actually German) and the idea of Lannister being European seemed to be a natural fit. Then once that idea was formulated, I just basically started some play on words. Like for example, in the show of Game of Thrones, House Lannister's common motto is "A Lannister always pays his debts..." which refers to either A. Paying Them B. Seeking Retribution/Vengeance. So I turned to some German background, where Josef Mengele is infamously known as the "Angel of Death" for his experiments during the Holocaust - so I just turned that into "Angel of Debt" - and that's when I knew this gimmick could really feel unique and take off. I've tried to make it my own, not make it seem too much like a Game of Thrones character, but sort of hard to avoid that completely when I won King of Elite in 2015. But nonetheless that leads me to... 2.) I was just trying to think of ways for Lannister to stand out on the promo page, while at the same time, fitting the means of the character. It goes without saying that Lannister is perhaps the most self-centered man in all of EAW, as he embarks in his own ambitions to the point he'll undermine everyone else. So I figured him talking in third person would cover that his first language isn't English (while still maintaining the high intellect), catering to his self-centered ways, and on top of that - simply, literally standing out on the promo page. Also I like there to be a bit of dry humor in my characters, some dramatic ridiculousness, and somebody talking in the 3rd-person definitely achieves that. 3.) I am probably most proud of what I've been able to accomplish in the past few months, with it ultimately cultivating at Road to Redemption. I was sort of at a cross-roads with the character in the middle of 2016, after my run of inactivity due to personal reasons (which in turn caused a level of not being motivated), and the way I was able to bounce back, surprising even myself. I didn't honestly expect to win the Answers World Championship at RTR, I may be on the board in terms of the forum, and of course know information here and there, but that was something I was never in on the loop for. So I'm probably just going to end up being most proud of that, and that'll go down as my favorite E-Fed memory of all time. I feel like I was able to prove my worth and dedication again, and perhaps showcase what I'm capable of on the promo page. And my least proud moment will always be Territorial Invasion of 2015. I was in the midst of my favorite feud of all time, against Ares Vendetta. This was the rubber match, and I didn't get a chance to post a promo for the match, but Robbie being Robbie, wanted to fulfill a great story, and had me win regardless. I hate that I ruined what would have otherwise been a memorable match, but now it sort of lives on in infamy. And I appreciate it! You have been one of my favorite sign-ups in the past month, and you've been ultra impressive in your own right. Keep it up man, you killed it this week for the Battle Royal. - Mike Showman wrote:

This answer probably is going to be deemed "small" in the entire landscape, but honestly, Pittsburgh. Not because it's my favorite sports town, but because it still has that small town feel, while being a city. I just love the atmosphere, and overall climate/weather of the seasons that you get in a East Coast environment generally, anyway. It's just a beautiful place, and I guess what you could say... "my kind of people" |

I would say execution. Honestly, I think everyone knows the points of attacks on not only their opponents, but themselves. So this allows for a bit of foreshadowing in how the conversation for the promoing week is going to steer, before it actually happens. So it just comes down to your point of attack, and ability to counter the arguments that you know your opponent is going to throw at you. Many are creative, many are blunt, many are wordy - any of these descriptions can prove to be a great promoing style and tactic - but none to me serves advantage over the others. So not to use a cop out answer, but I legit think it comes down to how you are able to combat words. The great ones know how to articulate a conversation, and be the architect in which direction the build gears towards. Your opponent will always contradict themselves on something, but it's not about if you notice it, but how you can deem their words to be without merit because of it. |

Not any specific order, and definitely not trying to undersell anybody else, but can't deny these guys have caught my eye: 1. Lars Grier 2. Moongoose McQueen 3. Kelly Hackenschmidt 4. Finnegan Wakefield 5. Cody Marshall (McAdams, you missed the criteria by a month, it seems. I want to say you were a September sign-up.) - GC wrote:

I have to counter how much of a self-centered, pompous asshole Lannister proves to be on a weekly basis, somehow. |

Do you intend to keep Cesaro as a pic base forever? 1.) I suppose at this point, try to be the one defending the AWC when PFP10 comes around. Tall task, though. But essentially what I'm saying is, I'd be down for any opponent. I've had the benefit of crossing two names off of my bucket list the past two Pain for Pride's... Robbie (Ares Vendetta) and Jay (Jaywalker). Two guys I've always wanted to face, two guys I think are in the top-5 list of all time, at worst. So I suppose if we were to continue this trend, Y2Impact, Mr. DEDEDE, or Heart Break Boy would be the "dream". 2.) Tiberius Jones/Jaywalker. I long consider Jay to be the best promoer E-Feds have ever seen. He makes you step up your game, try tactics you perhaps never had to before, just to try to find that edge. I was very proud of the promo war he and I put out (with Lioncross, of course) last week, as the conversation and "war" at hand was unlike any other. Wasn't about just wins and losses, winning an argument, but the psychological warfare and literary usage was simply on point, from both sides. 3.) Never. I couldn't see Lannister as anyone but Cesaro. Back in 2014, I actually wasn't going to sign up whatsoever unless Cesaro was open. Demon opened him up for me, since JV was on hiatus, and tada, the rest is history. - Mike Showman wrote:

What do you think makes a promo effective? As a writer, what things do you look for in someone's promo? Ask away! I'll try to answer both of these questions under one umbrella. I think what makes a promo effective, thus something a writer looks for, is utilizing the point of narration. And what I mean by that is simply this: Serving a purpose. The idea is to sell your character, by any means necessary. Fulfill your gimmick, all the while making the audience believe your side of the story. It's not ALL about just winning arguments, or the best insults - it's about further developing your character and staying in-tune with storyline, too. That's not to say every promo needs these guidelines, but it is a good general rule to follow. |

Harness the finer details. Challenge yourself, use different phrasings and mannerisms that you, yourself, might not normally use. Being a great writer, either in E-Feds or otherwise, is all about being able to utilize different perspectives. Not everyone is geared to think the same, or talk the same way. - Anthony Leonhart wrote:

Just simply, something that stands out. For new sign up's, don't go by what's popular, make yourself unique. A lot of people try to use the same popular finishers (RKO, GTS, Curb Stomp, etc) but in the end that just makes everyone look generic. I think being able to sell yourself on something is important too. Like, being able to portray yourself as the master at one thing, rather than the jack of all trades. When I signed up as Lannister, I made sure to emphasize his Mercenary gimmick (at the time) and thus, the brute strength and reputation of a force to be reckoned with. The other entities will come through development. |

If there was no possible way to use Cesaro as a rep in any kind of way, what rep would you choose?
Could you give me some feedback on my character? My strengths, weaknesses. I'm always trying to improve here.
This isn't a question, but congrats on winning the Champion of Champions match! You were on fire and I'm glad you picked up the W for THE show, SHOWDOWN! |
