People quitting, retiring, being fired, etc... Doesn't matter if the person(s) came back.

From recent memory, I would say AA's would be memorable to me. Off the simple fact there was a consensus in the chat that AA was extremely annoying and that he should be fired. But then again someone did say that AA was going to be back anyways due to the fact that this seems to happen to him all the time
Another notable one is Jacob quitting from what my understanding is that he has been getting heat for how he wrote NEO and such.

Agreed with HRDO's; his is probably the best that I can think of.
Another good one, despite its controversy, I'd say me and DDD walking out of EAW together at the end of Pain 4 Pride.
And as far as most recently goes, I think Imp had a good, emotional final bow.

I think Demon leaving in June 2013 was pretty controversial, especially behind the scenes.

How could we forget about the untimely leave of the great BonSkippy after a mere one week in action? The kid started off so strong, too.

I know these are all technically in-script, but I'll split them between ones that actually also happened in-script and the ones that were entirely out of script.
In Script:
My favorite is probably Starr's retirement last year. A lot of people (myself included) didn't think he'd actually beat Carson Ramsay for the Pure Championship at Pain For Pride. With him being on his "Retirement Tour", one would expect him to take the loss, and though I didn't like it at first, I think it was a really unique and feel-good moment. Carson accepted the defeat gracefully and Starr got a well-deserved goodbye.
HRDO retiring as the World Heavyweight Champion was great as well, but I think Starr's topped it.
Out of Script:
Cy bailing on EAW again.
Stephen Fox ragequitting because he got outpromoed by Imp and lost the Grand Rampage Match.
