I usually get Nige or Nigey.

Nige is pretty obvious, it's just the ever so slightly shorter form of my real name - Nigel. Funny story about that is my parents decided on that name because they didn't think (or realise) it could be shortened to Nige whereas the other options they had all could.

Nigey was coined by a pal o' mine in Year 9 in high school. He was just like "Nigeyyy" one day at schol and I kinda liked it because it was fresh and new and it stuck for a while, too long actually. I hate it now to be honest which is why it lowkey bugs me when people say it, and in this age when you tell people you hate something, they intentionally say or do even more to piss you right off.

Real name? JD. My first and middle name being the culprits. My great grandfather couldn't pronounce my name but he knew that my first name had a J and my middle name had a D in it...so there we go.

As for the other nickname that I have, Eclipse, I got this due to me creating a character and the name just stuck with it.

Asshole.  I'm a bit of a realist and somehow that usually translate to 'being negative'.  So, instead of trying to fight the criticism, I embraced the negativity pretty young.  I'm very deadpan, which has led to some unintentional 'lies' because certain people in my life can't tell when I'm serious or not.  When they regurgitate whatever I was sarcastic about toward them as fact in a conversation and get called out for their unintentional bullshit, the usual response is a glare in my direction and an under-the-breath murmur of "asshole".
