- Participants: Ares Vendetta, Tyler Parker, Devan Dubian, and Y2Impact
- Brief explanation of the story leading up to the match: After debuting on Voltage, Ares made a new name for himself as a career-ender by severely injuring both Devan Dubian and Tyler Parker. Ares Vendetta eventually succeeds in capturing the coveted Answers World Championship at the Grand Rampage, while that same night, Tyler Parker makes his welcomed return in the Grand Rampage match. However, Tyler comes up short against the winner of the Grand Rampage, Y2Impact. Following the Grand Rampage, Y2Impact decided to challenge the Answers World Champion at Pain For Pride 9, citing the desire to take back the Answers World Championship that he was the first man to hold while also looking to punish Ares for dethroning Mr. DEDEDE for the Championship while he had failed to do the same previously at Reckless Wiring. Meanwhile Tyler Parker and Hades, another former victim of Ares, pursue the newly-crowned Champion which culminates in a Three-Way Dance at Triple Threat. After Hades had been eliminated, the match came to an end in a controversial way when Ares Vendetta tapped out while simultaneously pinning Tyler's shoulders do the mat. The contest was ruled as a Draw and Ares therefore retained the Answers World Title, but in the midst of the controversy, an angered Y2Impact came out, getting into a brawl with Tyler Parker while Ares attempted to flee, only for Devan Dubian to make his long-awaited return, taking out Tyler Parker, Y2Impact, and finally, Ares Vendetta. On the following Voltage, Tyler Parker managed to defeat Y2Impact in one on one competition while Devan Dubian demanded his contractual rematch clause at Pain For Pride. Ares Vendetta successfully retained the Answers World Championship against Phoenix Winterborn that same night, only to be confronted by EAW Chairman, HRDO, who announced that after all the controversy, he had decided that it would be best if Ares defended the Answers World Championship against Y2Impact, Tyler Parker, and Devan Dubian in a Fatal Four-Way (the first ever for a World Championship at Pain For Pride).
