Since Showdown is running a bit late and the final is this evening, I wanted to post the matches for the A-Block's final day to show everyone how Maddie and Eris advanced.
Pre-Show:
Alexis Partheopaeus vs Raven Lee- This A-Block finale for two of the hardest hitting Vixens in EAW continued a long, personal battle between them that has been developing since Pain for Pride 8. With neither in the mix for a possible run to the finals of the tournament, this match was more about a deep grudge and personal pride. Raven Lee, like she had done most of the times these two women had squared off, controlled the pacing of the match and was able to brutalize the smaller Alexis. Showing her tenacity, however, the Corrupted Dragon refused to give in or fall to Raven’s offensive onslaught. In the dying seconds of the match, Alexis hit Raven with a surprising Dragon’s Control, the swinging reverse STO, bringing her tournament to a victorious end as she scored the three count right before the time limit expired.
WINNER: Alexis Partheopaeus (Pinfall, 19:58)

Mercer: Here we go! It's time for Vixens Action. This will be the last round of the Empress of Elite tournament and this young lady right there, is my favorite to be the winner.
Ryder: You can talk the talk, Jake. Maddie is still unsafe with her position. Winning is a must for her and she is about to face a tough, very familiar opponent tonight.
Announcer: The following contest is an Empress of Elite A-Block match scheduled for one fall under the time limit of 20 minutes. Introducing first from Tampa Bay, Florida.... MADDDIIIEEE!!!!!
(Maddie appears and walks through the ramp without paying attention to the reaction of the crowd as she quickly climbs the ring and waiting for Haruna. A few seconds after her music stops, "Dream Trigger" by Tokyo Performance Doll hits the arena as we see Haruna Sakazaki enters the arena while staring at Maddie from afar.)
Mercer: This lady, who cost Maddie her opportunity to become EAW Vixens Champion. This is the chance for Maddie to prove that robber who's in charge.
Announcer: And her opponent from Akihabara, Ja--
Ryder: OH MY GOD, LOOK AT MADDIE!!! SHE SLIDES OUT OF THE RING AND CHARGES INTO HARUNA AT THE RAMP!!! SHE CAN'T WAIT TO GIVE HARUNA A LESSON FOR COSTING HER TITLE VICTORY. LOOK AT THOSE VICIOUS BLOWS TO HARUNA'S BACK!!!
Mercer: Haruna slowly raises up and fights back as she hits Maddie to her midsection but no, it seems that Maddie is just snapped, she grabs Haruna's coat and throws her to the crowd barricade.
Ryder: Maddie keeps stomping Haruna into the ground but Haruna slowly stands. Haruna tackles Maddie until she's fall to the ground as well and not wit's time for Haruna to fight back. It's Haruna's turn to viciously attacks Maddie at the corner barricade.
Mercer: Haruna grabs Maddie's hair and.. ooh, she throws Maddie into the steel steps! The match is not even started yet and Haruna just ripped off her coat. The damage here is being done by these two young ladies and the damn bell hasn’t even been sounded! .
Ryder: They simply hate each other and look out.... Maddie dives into Haruna as she gives Haruna a few shots right into her skull. Look at how hard she’s hitting Haruna, but no, Haruna flips Maddie's body and it's her turn to give Maddie a few punches!
Mercer: Ooh, they rolled again! Maddie keeps punching Haruna but the referee inside ordering both of them to get inside the ring and start the match. Maddie thinks she's done a lot of damage to Haruna as she grabs Haruna by the hair and shoves her inside the ring.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Ryder: Alright the match is officially underway... and oh, of course Maddie continues to attack Haruna who is still not ready to fight. Maddie ambushes her with a few knee strikes in the corner.
Mercer: Haruna slowly stands but Maddie throws her to the other side of the ring into the corner as Maddie charges and gives Haruna a bog body splash, followed by furious punches who, again, aiming for Haruna's skull.
Ryder: Maddie is so aggressive and ferocious punching Haruna's head, the referee has to do the count.
Referee: 1.....2.....3.....4.....
Ryder: Maddie stops the attack while the referee pulls her apart from Haruna. but, ooh.... Maddie delivered a huge blow to Haruna's skull as she quickly collapses to the ground.
Mercer: Maddie drags her to the center of the ring as she covers....
Referee: 1....2.....
Ryder: no, Kickout by Haruna. Without wasting any time, Maddie stands Haruna on her feet as she irish whip Haruna to the rope as she bounces.... Maddie goes ducking but Oh God, what a Counter by Haruna! that DDT is surely going to leave a mark on Maddie's forehead!
Mercer: Haruna is now in control of this match as she puts more pressure on Maddie by giving her a side headlock. Maddie is trying to survive and break the lock while Haruna keeps the pressure on, trying to wear her down. Maddie tries to break it but Haruna keeps it even stronger.
Ryder: Just a reminder, if Haruna makes Maddie tap out, she'll receive 4 points.
Mercer: But what's her benefit? Winning, Losing, Draw..... it doesn't even help Haruna get to second place and get her to Battleground’s final. She’s fighting mainly for pride at this point.
Ryder: And Maddie finally escapes the hold as her foot touches the bottom rope. The referee is ordering Haruna to break the lock and she is, of course, following his order.
Mercer: Now Haruna stands on her feet and waiting for Maddie to get up but no! Haruna charges and hits a rolling neckbreaker to Maddie who is just about to stand. Maddie hits the ground once again and Haruna has taken control of this contest!
Ryder: Maddie looks shocked with that sudden strike and doesn’t know what just hit her. Maddie quickly stands with a help of rope but look at Haruna runs and smash Maddie outside of the ring with her clothesline!
Mercer: Haruna sent Maddie outside the ring over the top rope and meanwhile.... look at Haruna, spinning inside the ring like a ballerina. She bounces the rope and oh my God! what a move by this young lady! What a perfect Handspring Moonsault Plancha landed on top of Maddie's midsection outside the ring! SENSATIONAL!
Ryder: She called it as "Moonlight Sonata" and that must have done Maddie some more damage! The match is getting more and more intense and both of these ladies have shown their best stuff! Who will win this match? Ladies and gentlemen we’ll be back right after a quick commercial break!
(commercial break)
Ryder: We're back here on Showdown as we show you a quick double feature replay of Maddie turning the tide outside the ring dominating the match again as we can see her locking a headlock to Haruna.
(The replay shows how Maddie counters Haruna's Irish Whip, making Haruna crash hard to the steel steps. Another clip of footage shows how Maddie hits a running Big Boot to Haruna while she's leaning on the steel post.)
Mercer: Both of them have received a lot of damage in this match but neither of them are showing a sign of giving up. There's no way Haruna can climb to the top even by winning this via submission, but it looks like she's not going down without a fight. Maddie’s got her work cut out or her!
Ryder: You damn right. Maddie wasn't meeting an easy opponent tonight and she has to show a lot more effort to beat Haruna. Look at this now as Haruna shows her power by slowly rising from Maddie's lock and gives an elbow to the gut. but OOH, a hard Axe Handle from Maddie right to Haruna's back!
Mercer: Maddie then pulls Haruna's hair and she goes for a devastating Vertical Suplex. Maddie goes for a cover!
Referee: 1....2.....
Mercer: and Haruna kicks out at two and a half!
Ryder: Maddie wastes no time as she quickly pulls Haruna up again but looks like Haruna is showing some resistance to Maddie. A few punches land hard to Maddie's stomach, the force of the blows strong enough to break the hold!
Mercer: But Maddie fights back….. and Haruna gives another shot on Maddie's face. We have a punch trading situation going on over there and neither of them can stop giving each other some punches. Maddie blocks Haruna's punch and hits a few shots again and again and again!
Ryder: Maddie then Irish Whips Haruna to the rope and Maddie bends over, sending Haruna flying but OH MY GOD, WHAT AN ATHLETICISM BY HARUNA, SHE CAN STAND ON HER FEET AFTER SHE FLIES FROM THAT FLAPJACK!!! Now Haruna waits for Maddie to turns around and.... here we go. Low punch, middle punch, low kick, another low and goes for an uppercut!! Haruna charges the power of light and BAAMMM!!!!! What a painful punch right to Maddie's heart!
Mercer: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS, STREET FIGHTER!? This is gonna get ugly for Maddie, Haruna takes a few step back, ready for her finishing move.... AND SHE'S GOING AROUND THE WOR-- WAIT A MINUTE, MADDIE PUSHES HARUNA MID-AIR BUT HARUNA ISN'T STOPPING. SHE'S STILL RUNNING AT MADDIE.... OH MY GOD!!!! MADDIE COUNTERS IT WITH A DEVASTATING ROUNDHOUSE KICK RIGHT TO HARUNA'S FACE!!!! HARUNA MUST BE DOWN AND OUT. THIS COULD BE THE END OF THE MATCH, WE SEE MADDIE HOOKING THE LEG, GOING FOR THE COVER!
Referee: 1.....2......
Mercer: WHAT!!!!! HOW IN THE HELL DID HARUNA SURVIVE THAT KICK?!?! SHE STILL MANAGED TO KICK OUT!!! WHAT RESILIENCY SHOWN BY HARUNA SAKAZAKI!!!
Ryder: Maddie looks frustrated and can't believe it. She begins to blame the referee but he insists that it was not a three count. Maddie still can't believe what happened-- what is she doing? she's going top rope and about to end this with a Maddie Bomb..... She takes off.... INCOMIINNGGGG!!! OH, LOOK AT HARUNA QUICKLY STANDS AND GRAB MADDIE IN MIDAIR, COUNTERS IT INTO A BIG BIG POWERSLAM!!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
Mercer: Now listen to this crowd, chanting “THIS IS AWESOME” and I agree with them This match is awesome! Now both of the competitors are down and the time shows three minutes remaining. Is this match going to have a winner?
Ryder: Well, we just don’t know yet. Haruna starts to crawl..... away from Maddie? What is she doing. She decides to stand up and recover instead of pinning Maddie. She is now leaning against the corner, wiping off some of the blood that has come all over her face. I think one of Maddie’s vicious boots or barrages of punches busted her open. Meanwhile, Maddie doesn’t show a sign of moving.
Mercer: Do you realize something strange I’m just noticing? Since the beginning of the match, Haruna has never tried to a cover to Maddie. and now, she’s just buying some time for Maddie to get up and continue the match. Maybe Haruna is not even intent to win this match at the first place?
Ryder: I don't know, Jake.... Haruna always has a crazy plan inside that ring. Speaking of that, it is 90 seconds to the time limit and we see Maddie slowly stands but Haruna is ready like a hunter focusing on their prey. Haruna goes for a full speed.... OOOOHHH!!!!! MAWARU SEKAI CONNECTED!!!! Haruna goes for a cover.... I think not. She just stand there, looking at downed Maddie.
Mercer: The countdown is still on but Haruna only look at the tron and wait for the time to end. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS? WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING!? You know Cameron and Eris are watching this back in the locker room somewhere and are losing their minds as Haruna looks down at maddie again and.... she's shaking her head?
Haruna (w/o mic): Shippai da yo naa~!
Mercer: Maddie is trying to get up….AND HARUNA HITS THE AROUND THE WORLD AGAIN! SHE IS OUT COLD! MADDIE IS DOWN AND NOT MOVING!
Ryder: and Haruna is..... leaving the ring? The referee starts to count for Haruna but the time limit of the match is almost done. It's over, guys. We won't have any winner of this match….
(DING! DING! DING!)
Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen...the time limit for this contest has expired...therefore, it will end in a DRAW!
Mercer: Cameron Ella Ava is surely FURIOUS backstage as this result and Eris is probably giddy with delight knowing that a win will assure her passage into the final without question!
Ryder: I don’t understand though…..Haruna had this match won. Maddie was out for that match. Why wouldn’t she just go ahead and pin her? I’m at a loss for words. Haruna’s odd but even by her standard this looks absolutely insane. She’s not even looking back towards the ring as she heads toward the back.
(Now, as it stands, Cameron and Eris can either advance with a win. If the match ends in a draw, Maddie Will advance being tied on points with Eris by virtue of defeating her earlier in the tournament {direct confrontation rule})
(Camera pans to the ring where the ring announcer is waiting.)
RA: The following twenty minute contest is scheduled for one fall!
('Sellouts' by Breathe Carolina plays throughout the arena as the camera pans over the crowd and zooms in at the top of the ramp where Cameron Ella Ave makes her entrance.)
RA: Introducing first! From Los Angeles, California! She is CAMERON ELLA AVEEEEEE!
Ryder: And listen to this ovation for the EAW Hall of Famer! They just can't get enough of this legendary Vixen! We know what Cameron is capable of, but how will this 20 minute time limit hinder her abilities? We are well aware now that she must beat Eris to advance to the finals!
('Call Me' by Blondie begins to play as Eris LeCava comes out from the back.)
RA: And Introducing her opponent! From Tampa, Flordia! ERIS LECAAAAAAAAVAAAAAAAAA!
Mercer: And here is, in my opinion, one of the most unstable and crazy individuals in all of EAW, Dynasty, and even DCW. To her credit though, she goes into this final match knowing that if she picks up the victory tonight she’s one match away from winning a tournament that most people didn’t have her pegged to.
Ryder: Well I don't think that is a fair representation of this woman. She has been very impressive lately.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Mercer: And we are under way! Eris and Cam right away locking up in the collar and elbow tie up! Cameron powers the 5' 4" Eris into the corner and just unloads with a load of punches to the head of Eris.
Ryder: And the ref has to force the break! Cam has to be careful as not to get disqualified in this match as Eris makes her way out of the corner towards Cameron. The dazed Eris is stopped by Cameron. Cam hooks Eris and lifts her leg up AND HITS AN IMPRESSIVE EXPLODER SUPLEX!
Mercer: What an impressive show of strength from Cameron as she goes into the cover! She's trying to end this one quickly!
Ref: ONE!!! TWO!!
Ryder: No! Eris manages to power out and rolls out of the ring to take a breather! I don't know if this is the smartest option when you're in a match with a time limit like this one!
Mercer: This 20 minute match rolls on as Eris rolls back into the ring. Eris is back in and Cameron and Eris lock up once more. Eris manages to overpower Cameron and gets her into a headlock. However Cameron manage to power out and pushes Eris towards the ropes!
Ryder: Cameron looking to hit a clothesline! NO! Eris ducks under the arm of Cameron! Eris turns around and kicks Cam in the gut! Eris sets her up! And hits her with a Snap DDT! Cameron caught a lot of that one!
Mercer: Cameron sits up as Eris hits the rope and comes back and hits Cam with a kick to the back! You could really hear that one, Ryder! As Eris hits the ropes once more! ANOTHER KICK TO THE BACK! You can start to see the welts to form on the back of Cameron as a result of these kicks!
Ryder: And Eris is loving this as Cameron is thriving in pain on the mat from this kicks to the spine. Eris gets down to Cam's level. Looking to a bit of trash talking as she picks up Cam's head by her hair. And slaps Cam right in the face!
Mercer: Just like we've come to know from Eris! Taking the moves of her opponents! Humiliating Cameron Ella Ave with her own move! The Bytch Slap! Cam hits the mat once more. Eris turns around hits a standing moonsault on the downed Cameron. And she flies into the cover!
Ref: ONE!!! TWO!!! KICKOUT!!
Ryder: Wow! Eris almost managed to defeat the EAW Hall of Famer! And we're just only a little under ten minutes into this matchup! And frustration is beginning to set in on Eris as she realizes she is running out of time in this match! She drags Cameron to her feet looking to put things away!
Mercer: It looks like Eris is setting up for Bitch Camp! Cameron's Snapmare Facebuster! However Cam realized this and counters by sending Eris towards the ropes! And hits Eris with a dropkick as Eris comes back on the rebound! Finally Cam has made some space so she is able to recover!
Ryder: But Cam shouldn't take too much time as there are only 8 minutes left in this matchup! And the veteran Cam understands this and drags Eris to her feet! And whips her into the corner! Cam hits the Goddess' Touch on Eris! Cam into the cover!
Ref: ONE!! TWO!!
Mercer: No! The ref has to stop the count as Eris managed to get her foot on the ropes to stop the count! But Cam thinks that she has won the match! You can see the anger and frustration come over the face of Cam as she is given the news from the ref. Eris is back to her feet however! How about the wear with all from Eris!
Ryder: It is very impressive! The ref turns his back to explain that situation to the time keeper. AND LOOK AT THAT! THE MIST! ERIS SPITS THE MIST INTO THE FACE OF CAMERON WHILE THE REF'S BACK IS TURNED!
Mercer: C'MON REF! DO SOMETHING! Cam is stunned! She can't see a damn thing! And Eris hits cam with a Goddess' Touch of her own! And flies into the cover! NO NOT LIKE THIS!
Ref: ONE!! TWO!!!! THR- KICKOUT!!!
Ryder: CAM JUST BARELY MANAGING TO KICK OUT! Eris cannot believe it! One of these Vixens much hurry up as there are only 5 minutes left in the match! The next move might just decide the end of the match! However, both Vixens are down.
Mercer: Eris manages to get to her feet just as the same time as Cameron! Both Vixens manage to lock up and Eris manages to transition into a Northern Lights Suplex hold. She tries to get her up! But Cameron is attempting to counter the suplex by just nailing Eris in the stomach with sickening rights.
Ryder: And she manages to do just that! But she must hurry as she only has 3 minutes left if she wants to put Eris away and advance in this tournament. But the frustration gets the best of Cameron as she chooses to just give Eris a sickening Bytch Slap across the jaw of Eris.
Mercer: And Eris hits back with a Bytch Slap of her own! But Cameron manages to counter! She gets Eris into a headlock! Cameron transitions and sets up for her Snapmare Facebuster! She's looking for the Bitch Camp! Cameron hits the Bitch Camp on Eris and flies into the cover once more!
Ref: ONE!! TWO!!! KICKOUT!!
Ryder: Eris just manages to kickout once more! And I don't think either of these Vixens have anything left in the tank as we are coming up on the last minute of this match. Cameron gets up to her feet and begins hammering Eris' head with numerous rights. Cameron is letting her frusteration get the best of her! She isn't realizing that she is running out of time in this match.
Mercer: Cameron gets Eris up to her feet with just 30 seconds left in this match. Cameron backs up. It appears that she's looking for a third Goddess' Touch! But no! Eris manages to counter it and hits Cameron with Discordia! Both Vixens are down as the time begins to run down!
Ryder: There are only 10 seconds left and both Vixens are down and out. And neither are showing any sign of getting up. And just like the buzzer sounds. The 20 minute time limit is up. And this match is a draw!
RA: Neither Vixen was able to pin or submit the other in the 20 minute allowed time limit, therefore this match is a DRAW!
Ryder: Unbelievable! We’ve seen two draws tonight in the hellish A-Block. That means that Cameron Ella Ava is out! Haruna managed to hold Maddie to a draw, but Maddie will get the last laugh and represent A Block in the Empress of Elite final against Aria Jaxon! Eris, for her valor in this tournament, will face Ariana Lopez in the third place match!
So....there you have it. I'm sure these matches will be on Showdown, but since it's lagging a bit, I figured I would post them here.
