A lot needs to be said, that goes without saying. But first and foremost, I'd like to start this off with saying there needs to be a lot less "dramatic" around here. Everyone is getting up in arms about their disagreements, and it's become a tiring trend. So I will just post this here, sticky it, and be done with it until the issue and mentality has resolved itself.

Yes, you're allowed to have your opinion. Yes, you're allowed to express yourself. HOWEVER, do not make YOUR business... THE EFED'S BUSINESS. I made mention to this last week when Caliban posted his big spiel about Charles. I confronted the topic, saying how he shouldn't have made a thread about a Twitter fight that 98% of the EFED wouldn't have KNOWN about, if he didn't say anything. This is the most glaring issue I've come to see lately. Yes, Caliban had the right to let his displeasure known, and that he was having a problem with someone within the EFED. However... I will have NO sympathy for you, if you make your problem, a public problem. Nobody else NEEDS to chime in on your issue. And earlier, Ariana made her own topic about Demon's comments. And Demon before that about Jay's comments.

THE FORUMS AREN'T THE CHATROOM, FOLKS.

It's like in 2015 we're documenting all our arguments by putting them in the forums. There has been a growing perception that nothing is being done about these issues, because they are on the forums instead of the chatrooms. It is just yet another layer to the problem. The matter of the fact is, disagreements and heated arguments like this happen ALL the time... but when you use the forums for your source, it's going to do nothing but make you look bad, the person you're belittling look bad, and the board look bad because it's out in the open for people to look back on.

I think there needs to be some accountability on integrity here... an expectation that people won't just raise a thread anytime someone gets on their nerves. There is a chatroom, please state it there. If you need the board to get involved, a PM or PC is only a short click away. If you're trying to stick your chest out and prove yourself superior, whatever floats your boat... but leave that shit off of the forums.

I also have THIS to say...

I am absolutely SICK and TIRED of seeing comments like "...This makes DEDEDE look weak" or "This makes the board look weak." REALLY, one pic base change makes the chairman look weak? I'm sorry, but I will not settle for these brinksmanship comments. The intimation fear will never be there, to sway us one certain way. The ONLY way a Chairman or Board can look weak, is if the EFED is actually crumbling. But considering EAW has never been more active, more involved... these sentiments are nothing but asinine and pathetic. So you can stop making those comments, anytime a little "rule" is broken. Demon was able to change, big deal. Get over it. DEDEDE doesn't look any more weak because of it... and neither does the board. You can say something about communication, but not strength.

And not to get rank involved... but honestly, comments like that are unheralded and insufficient anyway. That is a discussion that Brian and DEDEDE will have on their own, I guarantee you. I'm using that situation as an example, since it's fresh in the memory bank. You have no need to worry about that. Situations like that are to create an inevitable situation of communication outright. So please, if you're going to express an opinion over situations like these, leave the smart remarks out of the equation. There is no need to undermine the intent or quality of the board's decision making process... and if you really think one situation alone makes or breaks someone's reputation, then you just don't know how the EFED world works.

And LASTLY...

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THREADS BEING LOCKED.

It is WITHIN our right, to lock threads that are deemed damageable to the EFED. There have been a lot more damaging ones lately, hence the increasing number of threads being locked. This isn't rocket science. The dramatics have been at a year-high these past few months... so BINGO.

Not EVERYTHING needs to be handled by the board in public... STOP EXPECTING IT TO. Threads are being locked to end the pointless discussion... I promise you, those conversations happen in private. As they should. I really don't understand this perception that when someone is getting "disciplined" or "spoken with" that it needs to be on the forum, for the entire public to see. That's not how it normally happens... if you disagree, then that's just a shame. But stop complaining about the threads being locked. And stop acting as if nothing is being done about what's been going on or said.

There have been a lot of people in the wrong, I can't consider anything Demon or Jay said/did in the "right" and I consider them both great and close friends. That discussion is to be had, as well as the ramifications of such a thread. Not all situations are created equally... some situations, honestly letting it play itself out is the best course. This isn't a perfect science... I'd greatly appreciate if everyone understood that. 

I'm not sure if there is a sense of entitlement these days, either it be through public shaming, expressing one's opinion, or even expressing one's interests. But the mantra needs to end. And it ends now. I am making it known right now that THREADS WILL be locked if I think it's just a Chatroom Argument being transferred to the Forums. I WILL LOCK THREADS, if they are to add fuel to the fire, intentional or not. Sorry Ariana, I respect the gist of the thread you made, but you were welcoming more heated discussion, and adding fuel to an already tense situation. Or Demon making a thread about Jay because of having a disagreement with him. And I WILL LOCK THREADS, if anybody goes public about a private matter, rather than resolving it with the board or with the other parties involved.

Thanks, this took away my entire focus on getting Showdown up tonight, because these issues needed desperately addressed. If you have any questions, please do confront me, especially DEDEDE or Robbie, and anybody else on the board. I don't care how you take these comments, just as long as you understand them. Agree, disagree... that makes no matter now. The line of expectation has now been drawn.

The issue won't resolve itself. The board has to do something about it otherwise the issue will continue. For a long, long time now (Not just recently) guys like Charles have been constantly starting arguments with other members and nobody has done jack shit. I'm not saying you guys should punish him severely, but at least talk to him. Although talking will be futile because I have tried to talk to Charles before and I haven't achieved anything he just keeps starting with me. Maybe he will listen to DDD tho, idk.


I agree with mostly everything you stated. However, I never saw any comments literally saying that "DDD is weak". Maybe some of us implied it, but we didn't precisely say it. I know I didn't. I was simply speaking the truth.. IT IS unfair that Demon gets to have McGregor but guys like me who have been just as dedicated to EAW as him can't have their desired pic base. I moved on tho. I understand Demon is a former chairman and a member of the hall of fame and that gets you special privileges. Like I said before I am happy he has the pic base he wanted so bad. I'm not happy with what he did tho and I think he should face repercussions for his actions. Realistically, I know he won't face any just cause he is Dark Demon.

You want to talk about UNFAIR, GC? How about that it is unfair to the entire EAW roster that there is a "Pic Base Rule" because there are certain individuals who abused changing pic bases on the fly, time after time. Let's be real, this "Rule"... was designed mostly because of you, and your willingness to change your "desired" pic base without warning. I don't necessarily like the rule, but I understand why DEDEDE made it. He did it to protect writers and their storylines, so people can't just change up their gimmick midway through a storyline.

And I will also say this... YOU ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO BEING "DEDICATED" IN EAW. EVERYONE WORKS HARD HERE... From DEDEDE, to Dub, to Vance Tybull, to You, to Kerry Keller. Don't make it seem like you're the only one who is dedicated to EAW. Here we go again with the entitlement like I referenced in my original post. There is no nice way to cut this... other than working hard and putting a lot of time in guarantees NO ONE the right to their "desired pic base" or ANYTHING.
You were given an ultimatum months back about Reigns, and within that ultimatum was an agreement that you cannot change ever again, since it happened so many times in a short window. I hate to say it, since I think you're ultra awesome... but you've already made your bed. And I wouldn't consider Seth Rollins opening any time soon, either. So it is not unfair to YOU, most of all. It might be unfair to others, but I wanted to publicly state, since you publicly brought this up once more, that you of all people don't get that challenge. But this should hardly be the issue at hand... I for one find pic base arguments to be the most petty thing to happen on a daily basis. I don't care for them, but am put in a situation to do so because of it always being on a roster member's mind. The fact that this situation got SO OVERBLOWN, because of a pic base rule, is just utterly disheartening.

As for the likes of Demon and Charles starting arguments... It goes without saying that Demon shouldn't have thrown personal shots at people, especially to those that were doing him no wrong. So before you say you know he won't face repercussions for "being Dark Demon" - keep in mind that you guys wanted a "No Tolerance" policy. But also keep in mind, that Dark Demon wasn't the only one to throw personal shade at people. Just the one who started it. So now it's a ticky-tacky situation, one where both parties are in the wrong. So if there truly is a "No Tolerance" going around... well it'll be more than just Dark Demon getting punished. I don't know if you're expecting a firing or what, but obviously that's not going to happen. I do think he should apologize to Ariana and Black, just because they were attacked for NO REASON. And I did state with the Carlos thing, NOBODY should have their personal life attacked. So that is what I'm more inclined to talk about... not a pic base. But I will have that discussion with him personally... but I've already said too much out in the open.

Charles, from what I've seen - hasn't attacked anyone's personal being... just been in the midst of fights. You can't tell me, that in the entire history of EAW, that Charles is the first one to be like this? It takes two to tango, as well. I obviously don't condone getting into heated arguments all the time... but you can't possibly expect EAW to punish him, when in fact if he's arguing with someone, then someone is arguing with him. It's not rocket science. He surely pisses people off, but guess what, some people piss ME off... and being pissed at someone is nothing new in the 8 years of EAW, or in the world in general. Things eventually pass... and as long as Charles isn't attacking someone for being themselves, then he is alright.

If you have any other concerns, DO let me, Robbie or DDD know them personally, GC. It's not like we're "unapproachable."

TL;DR VERSION: The pic base shouldn't be the discussion point, GC. Dark Demon isn't above anyone else, to the contrary of your beliefs. Charles gets in arguments, but he's not the only one.
