"Snap, Crackle, Pop"
Ring Name: James Seymour
Nickname(s):
The Heart of a Lion – This comes from something that both his father and trainer said to him as he first entered the business of professional wrestling. James was never an outstanding athlete, never really excelling at any form of any sport. As he first entered that gym in Ottawa, Canada he was never expected to be much of anything; another kid that entered with a big dream, but didn’t have the ability in a business as cruel as this. But, it no matter what they seemed to put in his way or force him to go through, the kid just wouldn’t quit. Whether it took him minutes, hours or the full day, the kid would force himself to withstand anything that he could if it meant that he could prove everyone that said that he couldn’t wrong. When the forced him to stand toe to toe against the biggest man in the class, James had the ever living crap kicked out of him; but, every time the kid was knocked down, he slowly pushed his way back to his feet and through a bloodstained smile, he asked for more. As the man he stood against tried to throw that final blow that would keep James down once and for all, James caught the arm of the man and used his momentum to take him down, locking in a Kimura and wrapping a grapevine around his waist. The man tried to use his pure power to fight his way out of it, eventually leading to James breaking the man’s arm and making him submit. Sometime after the match James found himself alone with his coach, who was dumbfounded with what this kid he thought wasn’t going to last five minutes had just accomplished, leading to the quote that James keeps close to his heart… “I don’t know how you managed to pull that off, kid, but all I have to say is that you’ve got the Heart of the Lion.”
Rabid – This name was given to him when he first began to make his way through the independent scene while on his way back to Elite Answers Wrestling. James style has slightly evolved since the last time that we have seen him; while he still wrestles that technical style, James has slowly seemed to become a little more unforgiving, losing the slight hesitance that he may have had in the past, which had slowly started to show throughout his short feud with Angelo Brando before leaving the company in late July, early August.
PURE – No matter where James found himself on the independent circuit, he always kept to the technical style of wrestling; a few months prior to signing with Elite Answers Wrestling, James found himself in what could be described as a “Blood and Guts” promotion; while the majority of the men used the more conventional “Hardcore” style that the company was used to, James kept to his guns of Technical Wrestling, which lead to the owner of the company firstly calling him “The Wrestling Purist”, before it was quickly cut down to simply: PURE.

Wrestling Style:
Technician/Submission – James always knew that he wasn’t ever going to be the biggest man in this business and understood that he was going to need to find a way to even up the “disadvantages” that he would be forced to face throughout his time in this business. He quickly began the understand that there was always a different way to take someone down, without the need to be able to throw someone around like a ragdoll – he looked at people throughout this business that were never the biggest wrestlers in the business like Brian Daniels and the Heart Break Boy, who despite facing the same “disadvantages” that he did, were still able to garner the success the world dreams of having. At a young age James enjoyed the technical side of wrestling, rooting for the underdog fighting in a “big man’s” world, so it only seemed fitting to learn that style of the sport, getting into Ju-Jitsu. James, at times, shows that he also has an incredible amount of strength for his size.

Character Summary:
James was never much of anything, just a kid from a small family with the big dream of becoming a star. The majority of James’ childhood has revolved around this dream of becoming a professional wrestler. He did everything that he could to inch his way closer to the dream that he held closer than almost anything else. Whether he was going to local events, going to the local training facilities to watch or watching old re-runs, everything that James seems to do was wrestling related. He was never a standout athlete; never seen as a man that would overly achieve much of anything in a business as cruel as professional wrestling, but James never let it bother him, instead of looking back at that as motivation. James was given the opportunity to train with a friend of his father, who was willing to allow James to train without the need to pay the fee if he was willing it get to the gym in the early hours of the morning to set everything up and stay back to the late hours of night to pack everything away. James wasn’t a fan of the idea, but understood that it would be the only way he’d be given the chance to enter this business. James was in and out of small independent promotions, never finding anything stable enough to settle in before finally being offered the opportunity to compete in a smaller promotion run by EAW’s own Ashton Cross, in War Made Wrestling. James looked at WMW as the perfect way to prove that he could one day before something that everyone else never thought he could: a star. James never attempted to come across as anything but himself, because he’s always believed that it’s easier to entertain the world being something you are, rather than something that you’re not. Even though his time in WMW was short before it closed its doors it gave James a small taste of what it’s like being on a bigger stage than what he was used to. James went away and began to train to become better than he was, understand that he still had a long way to go until he was physically able to compete, not only at the level that he needed to, but also at the level that he wanted to. James entered EAW as the same kid that we all had the chance to see a few months earlier; as the man that has built a career around having an incredible amount of heart, having that never say die spirit and most of all the love that he has for this business, but things didn’t seem to go the way that James had planned, and James decided to take a step away from the company until he believed he was ready to stand in the company as grand as Elite Answers Wrestling. James re-enters Elite Answers Wrestling today a little wiser than he was, understanding that this is something that you can never really take for granted because he has had a firsthand experience of how quickly things and go wrong, and how quickly you can find yourself at the bottom of the barrel without the slightest hope of going anywhere. He understands that this could very well be his last chance at grasping onto his lifelong dream and isn’t going to stop until he either does, or dies trying.
