Obviously if you're 18 and you're dating a 13 year old, some red flags will be raised.

But is there a problem if both people are of legal age? Even with a 5 year gap, say for a 23 year old to be dating an 18 year old.

Discuss.

If both are legal and mature enough to make their own decision, I don't see why age should be of that much importance. It shouldn't in my opinion.

Yes I feel that most successful relationships are when the two are around the same age.

XD, felt I had to bump it, no, I don't think age matters. in fact, the only loves I have had have come in the form of someone older then me

Too big of an age gap can be a bad thing, but a few years isn't bad.

Yes there should be no age gap at all or else it's creepy. I think on the day you are born, the doctors should give a list of all the other people born on the same day as you, then you will have a list of people you are legally allowed to date.

As long as it's legal and the two people are on the same wavelength intellectually, spiritually and financially....I don't really see a problem with age gaps.

For me it does. I have a rule that I will not date anyone who is 5 years older or younger than me.

Yes it should depending on the part of your life you are in. For example, there is no way a 16 year old should date a 26 year old or reverse, because the 16 year old has not gone through as much life experience as the 26 year old.
