Or is it just something that'll come about whenever?

Whenever. I tend to grossly overestimate time consumption. Even if I drop off doing graphics and stages I should still manage to promo. So I'd rather not put a particular end date or period; I've still got three years of Uni left at least so I'm good for now.

I'd like to be done with e-feds whenever I'm done with high school. But I don't really have a planned date at the moment

It's really hard to keep strict with a planned date or time regardless of how much you feel that you may be ready by then. I've seen many cases where an e-fedder even forgets he was suppose to be retiring around by this point so no I don't have something planned. I'll keep going as the situations allow me and leave/retire when it is right.

I've retired like 5 times already so I will just leave whenever it happens.

I've never done an official efed like this, but dabbling in less professional versions in the past I would typically leave when the roster got dull. I could honestly spend years doing this if the community is right.

December 22nd 2020. On that day I will reserve a steak dinner for one, and celebrate the end of an era whilst watching Law and Order and slowly falling asleep.

When I get a boyfriend. But seriously, I will leave whenever I'm ready to do so....or when I find something else that interests me and consumes the majority of my life.

I'll stop e-fedding when it's not fun for me anymore. Whether that's tomorrow, or if I'll still be e-fedding when I'm 50, who knows. I'm not like some people here who think there's an age limit on this stuff, as far as I can tell, if you enjoy it, do it. I'm no one to tell someone what they can and can't do to have fun, especially in a world where they could be doing much much worse things then pretending to be a wrestler on the internet and writing promos.

Well during my first run, I was going to leave when I was going to take my relationship up a notch and such but that turned out to be a mistake and in my spare time, I thought I should come back because I love e-fedding and there is nothing else for me to do mainly. But I think I will leave when life is too busy to allow e-feds to be a part of my schedule.

I've been doing this kind of thing since 2004. There have been times where I wanted to step away because life would get in the way, and as the saying goes Life > Fedding. When I closed down my fed back in April of last year I figured that was the end, but then I found this place and had the itch again. Ultimately I keep getting sucked back into the whole fake wrestling thing.
