Subject: What are some concepts you'd like to see EAW try in 2017? December 23rd 2016, 12:57 pm
Is there a type of match you want to see held?
A concept of a show/tournament?
Anything you think you may like to see EAW add or try in 2017

Well I've mentioned this before but what the hell I'll mention it again. I have a concept I call a cell block match. It's a match between two teams of four or five ( or three teams of three) where the participants compete under scramble rules while they are locked inside a hitc style cage. The cage will have weapons attached to it including one section that is wrapped in barb wire. the team that scores the last fall before the time limit is up wins

A EAW Podcast.
Each week a different Elitist or Vixxen is interviewed.
This could improve character development and further storylines.

A podcast type of thing that can be posted on the e-fed zone could be cool like Jakob said above, less tournaments, feel like it's over done in my opinion.

Just to clarify for those who responded and didn't know:
EAW does have a G1 Climax style tournament for the ladies, Empress of Elite. not one for the guys yet.

I'd actually like to see a section were we can post characters for others to use. like for instance user 1 has an idea for an alt but doesn't think they'll ever actually sign up with it. mean while another user is a bit burned out with playing the same character but doesn't really know what type of alt he'd like to make. user 2 can for a part time basis use the character user 1 created provided its ok'ed by management and possibly user 1

I'd like to see a tournament where you could win by pin, submission, first blood, or KO/referee stoppage. The catch is when you use one method of victory you can't use it for the rest of the tournament. So if you pin your opponent in the first round you can't pin any of your other opponents in future. This gives a kayfabe bit of strategy and can lead to final match with radically different objectives for each participant ( like A need to win by submission, while B needs to win by Knock Out).

I was a huge fan of the Dynasty brand split storyline, and honestly more multi-brand storylines were really fun to see. I think more of those.

to kinda touch on what diemos said, I'd actually like to see more interbrand matches being held, particularly with non-champion mid-card acts who would compliment (as in works well with) each others styles.

hmm.... how about an intergender tag tournament? like Men and Women elitist get a random-selected pair and have a single-elimination tournament. The winner of this tournament gets a world title shot in each of the pair's brand.

1. Less tournaments.
2. No more brand-exclusive specialty matches like Hell in Cell or Glass Wallz. This is fucking stupid and restrictive in my opinion. Of course, that is my opinion, not fact, and it's fine if you disagree and EAW stays with the status quo. For instance, I don't give a fuck if someone does a High Voltage match for another brand, or an electric-themed match. Your goal shouldn't be to make your brand better than others as a writer. It's to be supportive and encouraging of all the brands, not to fight for supremacy. I want every brand in EAW to be great, and it honestly bothers me a little that we always seem to have this pissing contest about x brand is better than y brand. We need less division and more unity. You can still have a FPV built around those matches and at the same time have one or two matches a year where they're used on non-FPVs.
3. Less babying of the vixens division, i.e. don't make a thread thanking everyone in the division as if their efforts are all greater than the rest of EAW, or as if they are not individuals to be judged on their own merits rather than viewed as a monolith. Furthermore, please stop with the white knighting and the embarrassing caping for bitches you will never fuck. Acting like everybody needs to be coddled and can't fend for themselves. It's honestly pathetic.
4. DDD's opinions regarded as fact.
5. Shorter championship reigns. I am not saying penalize people who do good enough to hold their title for a long time, but it baffles me that, in my opinion, some people win a title and automatically they're going to be champion for x amount of time regardless of any other factor. People say, "oh he was outpromoed" - boy, that's some bullshit. The talent gap among the greats is extremely small to the point you can justify victories as 50-50 any time two or more people of that status are facing. You have that four-way at PFP, any one of those guys could have won justifiably - including the winner, obviously. They didn't and Ares went on to reign for like eight months. When you are constantly facing amazing competition, and your defense for winning is always the writer claiming the other guy was outpromoed, it's just hilarious to me. Whether you like it or not, there are RARELY - RARELY - times in promos among the greats where someone unquestionably promoed better. The only valid defense is larger output of content. The other shit is window dressing cock-measuring contests. Obviously don't be a bitch and complain when you lose if you think you did as good, but because people are so very often equal, that SHOULD mean shorter reigns - but these days it almost never does. When every champion and their mother has to have a reign of five months or more for it to be considered "good," ultimately no one wins. It deprives people of opportunities and saps interest when you have eight-month long, six-month, etc long reigns. The standard template for a reign, other factors notwithstanding, should be three to four months, with anything longer than that being a rare anomaly. It should be a unicorn, not a common occurrence.
6. I don't want to hear any bullshit from anyone else about my fucking opinions. I work my dick in the dirt slaving myself thanklessly for a bunch of people that are, quite frankly, ingrates. Sure there's been the grateful and hard-working few that have extended a helping hand, and I'm grateful and appreciative of them in kind and they will soon see that, but there appears to be a 60-40 majority of unjustified whiners with no leg to stand on - being generous. When you've been around eight years, you can have an opinion on my opinions, but until then you need to shut your fucking mouth and understand that the word of our foremost veterans - DDD, Jay, myself - is law. And if you've been around for a long time but you've taken break after break without actually putting years of effort in, I also don't want to hear it. It's not your place. And if it's not law, it's at the very least not something you can laugh about, figuratively speaking, from behind the shadows of fucking curtains. I'm not about to get depressed for months on end while a bunch of shit-talking fuckheads try to take advantage of seniority privileges that they never actually earned or put in any fucking work for.
Obviously this doesn't apply here but the larger theme of could vs. should applies to very, very many of you "I should be pushed, I'm losing cuz of corruption, omg suuu demotivating" motherfuckers. Maybe humble your fucking selves and climb that ladder organically rather than trying to cut corners on your ascent. Consider that your input is not always necessary, nor wanted, and oftentimes only complicates things further or impresses upon your writers that you are a whiner. If you think you're going to win a World Title or that your chances will be any better on another brand, regardless of what brand you are on, think a-fucking-gain. Focus on where you are and trying to improve that. And if you have something to say about that, y'all might as well not bother, cuz you already know I'm gonna tell you to suck my dick.

In fact, at this rate, with this roster, we might as well have a fucking transgender Tag Team Tournament. I bet we'd have enough fucking drag queens to do it.

Oh, and one more thing. A podcast is the absolute WORST fucking idea anyone could have. You saw all the shit that those dumb fucking podcasts caused in 2015? Or even in fucking 2013? Most people lack the maturity to conduct themselves with any sort of fucking class and start popping off at their superiors. Not like they're not already doing it in the echo chambers anyway. But that's fine because I don't give a fuck about them either. They don't give a fuck about me, and I'm not fucking with them.

Rather than be automatically accepted, you should have to submit an application before joining including some tidbits about your character as a human being. Far too often we accept gutter trash into our brotherhood and that's why our fraternity remains fractured and divided. The funniest thing about it is that dissidents often believe they're martyring themselves for some greater cause or social statement of individualism, when in reality they're just being cancerous cowardly pieces of fucking shit.

By the way, a spade is a spade. If you're ugly and fat, you're ugly and fat. If you want people to insult your intelligence and tell you that you're beautiful, go to tumblr. My mother always told me that if the best thing you can say is "man that fat bitch ugly," don't say anything at all. So I'm just not going to say anything at all.

I'd like to see Empire be fully realized as an equal brand in the eyes of at the very least the Vixens division. The whole point of Empire is to essentially have a show in EAW where the Vixens can do anything that the Elitists can do on the other brands. When we got people wanting to go to the other brands with their female characters it is insulting cuz honestly they don't know how good they got it. Half of the Vixens are prolly secretly dudes anyway. This is a role playing game if you wanna be on the male brands create a male character if you wanna be on Empire create a female character it's not that hard to figure out.
I'd like to see the staff in general become stricter. People shouldn't be allowed to get what they want just cuz they are unhappy or unmotivated or threatening to quit. I really don't give a damn who you are or how good you think you are, if you disrespect Hall of Famers and EAW staff members you should absolutely not be rewarded with what you wanted even if you are too stupid to realize that what you wanted is not actually a reward and you are fucking yourself over. If I was in charge and anyone whined to me about how unhappy they were and wanted to quit if they didn't get what they wanted, I'd let them quit and if they reacted by insulting Hall of Famers I'd fire them. I'd say at least 90% of the roster actually enjoys EAW the way it is currently run and if you are unhappy or unmotivated then gtfo and go get the life you actually want.
