I'm sure you didn't actually think I wasn't aware of this, by the way. If Jericho wins, he will lose at Payback. He's not immediately leaving following WrestleMania, so the idea he's going to lose because he's leaving doesn't really make any sense. If he loses, it will be to put Owens over, and nothing else.

Is it confirmed he'll be around for payback? I dunno I just see him working a PPV that close to the tour is all. The need for rehearsal time with the band rules it out for me but I could be wrong. I think both factors are an issue here. If they want to put Owens over at some point they have a limited time frame. I think it's iffy to assume Y2J will be working a PPV match so close to his tour so I'm thinking Mania or the show after.

But fuck it, I managed to block out the traumatic memory of Miz beating Cena at Mania the first time. I'm clearly not a reliable source of reasoned judgement.

Last minute reconsideration. My predicted no contest between Ambrose and Corbin is stupid. Corbin wins if only because he's been great on talking smack. I have a theory that Talking Smack and other network interviews/talk shows are WWE's way of gauging whether a guy is ready to handle more responsibility on the mic and Baron's been great. Imminent push expected.
