Do you those tons of ideas too ? Do you think it's a good or a bad sign ?

| no matter what you have, first thing is first, TALK TO YOUR WRITERS. in yoir case, Jacob Senn and Diamon Cage. Also speak with your fellow Sanatorium members in your specific case. The main thing is making sure your ideas coenside with whatever plans they have for you. |

| Since I'm not someone who has e-fedded for a long time, I will speak from a creative writing and general RPing view.
I see that as a good sign, since having no ideas for a character can sometimes mean you have no motivation for that character, and they're 'dead'. That's how I see it anyway, and as someone who has done a lot of RPing with all sorts of characters for years, if I find I have no ideas for developing a character, I'm done with them. Just like with my writing - if I can't think of a reason to have a character around or have no ideas on how to develop them, then they're useless. Lots of ideas for development is great as you can choose where to go.
I always think you should slowly develop your character. It's more realistic that way - people don't just suddenly switch in real life, they develop slowly, except if we're talking about extreme cases. Look at all of your ideas, think about which ones are simpler or more subtle, and use them first to develop your character. Then you can move into the deeper development and reveal more information. It's like a plot in a film or book: you don't want to give away everything within the first couple of minutes or chapters. Save good ideas or twists in your character for once you've given more simple development to your character. It's like what I'm currently doing with this whole Five Pillars idea. I could have revealed all five of them in one promo, but instead I'm slowly revealing one after the other every other few promos to show more realistic development and keep interest up.
That was a long post, but to answer your questions: lots of ideas are good as long as you know how to manage them, and slow and steady development is best in my eyes. Think about who you want your character to be or where you want them to go, and then base your decisions on that. |

I mean my character sign-up. Yes, I know. Speak with your writers about it. Trust me |

| lol writers will do whatever the hell they want to do at the end of the day regardless what you propose them. Sadly they're not always flexible and they're not usually willing to help you develop your character your way. I'm speaking from experience. Basically don't bother talking to them. You will waste your time. |

well, uhh.... sadly.... I had this experience too. They usually have a "plan" for our character in advanced and not even ourselves can alter that "plan". I often meet these certain situations and I have to twist my promo outline to make a reasonable connection between my plan and their plan (yes.... that suicide attempt promo was one of them. if they use my storyline plan, that promo will never exist and Tyler Parker is not a stranger for me anymore). So yeah, a question for writers.... When is the most perfect time we have a discussion for our storyline plan? Because,yeah.... I said it earlier. judging from my experience, every time I want to discuss a storyline/character development plan. You seem already have a plan beforehand. |

| The hell is with this writers don't listen stuff? As Nas has said, Senn and DC would of course be more than ok with listening to your ideas, it's their job as writers to work with people. Sometimes ideas can't work but we do our best to implement as much as we can. |

| As someone who has three years worth of material in their head, the best thing for you to do is let the writers do their thing and work with them. Nothing is better than letting things develop naturally as time goes on. Steph joining the Sanatorium wasn't planned. The rivalry with Tarah wasn't either. Many of my finer moments were a reaction to stuff the writers came up with. |

| For me that's what makes it fun. When things don't go according to the plan I got set out in my head. Then I just gotta try to adapt and see what happens. I like it when sometimes the writers throw a curveball or have my character say something in a segment that I wouldn't expect him to say. Cuz it just adds to the complexity of the character and gives me a challenge to work with. As long as the writers aren't breaking kayfabe or doing something extremely dumb with your character I feel like you should be able to work with anything they do. But ye I got tons of ideas. I got like 5 page google doc of ideas/notes for my character. Half the time tho when I promo I just ignore it entirely and do whatever feels natural which I think works better a lot of the time. To answer the thread tho I'd say it's a very good sign. The trick is to use the right ideas at the right time. It always sucks when you use a really good idea and later wish you'd have saved it for ur title shot instead of the random tag team match where your opponents didn't promo. |

If you were referring to me I wasn't complaining. I was simply being real with Anthony. The writers will always do as they please. And honestly that's the way it should be I just think we should have more creative freedom. That's all. |

Unless you be asking shit like "I want my character to win more" or something that affects other characters negatively, I don't see why there would be an issue. |

Sometimes ideas can't work but we do our best to implement as much as we can. I agree with this sentiment full heartedly. A ton of stuff in my career, including my run as chairman and OMERTA, is due to the fact that I had an idea, took it to the writers, and they ran with it. Of course they probably won't always do what you suggest but my track record of them listening to my ideas has been pretty solid, especially with Brian |

| Too many ideas could possibly lead to some kind of burnout. That's all I have to say as I am not a master of ideas. |
