This. I was there! That and 24 are two of my crowning moments as a spectator of wrestling. I'd love to go to any King of Trios, to be honest, but since that's still a possibility, I'll say WrestleWar '89 for the capper in the Steamboat/Flair feud, along with the attack on Flair that turned him face by Terry Funk. It's stood as my favorite match for a long time, even surpassing their Clash of Champions match and the highly touted Chi-Town Rumble. Not to mention the fact that the rest of the card really doesn't look all that terrible, it's just the match and the feud overshadowed the rest. I would've loved to have been present for one of the WarGames bouts as well, but I somehow get the feeling that those are probably best viewed from the comfort of your home opposed to being in a live crowd. |

| The January 19th, 1971 match between Bruno Sammartino and Ivan Koloff. It's been said that the crowd was so shocked by Bruno losing the belt to Koloff that they went silent, and Bruno thought he went deaf. I would love to see that live for myself.
Any of the matches between Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat.
Bash at the Beach 1996, just to see Hogan do the Leg Drop on Savage.
WrestleMania 13, for the match between Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Survivor Series 1997 (though honestly I'd be more interested in being backstage for that one). |
