| Hey guys, I am unsure on what to do with my character next. I think the reason I lose all the time is because I'm not a good writer. I have never been a good creative writer like some of you on here. So what can I do to turn my character's career around. And can we please stop with this Hello Hello Hello stuff, because I feel like my character is going to become a joke because of it. And that's not the direction I want to go with him. |

| This is more from an observers standpoint than it is from a writers, but the key problem with Shaker Jones as a character is a lack of direction, mostly by yourself. I won't admit to reading every promo you've put out, but the ones I have read have been completely uninspired and haven't given the character any direction. The character you want to portray is a Hardcore styled character, but you're promoing like a sympathetic babyface. These two aspects could work well given the right writing in a Tommy Dreamer early ECW fashion, but that is not what we are getting. Instead, we are getting a conflicting character and promo dynamic that is probably the reason why writers are resorting to the "Hello Hello Hello" meme. All of these are essentially the reason you've been getting lost in the shuffle on Voltage and why you've been on the losing end of things. A weak promo style that doesn't do favors to the character. My advice is to probably take a step back and consider some drastic changes to the character you can find an easier time promoing with. Given the current circumstances, a heel turn with growing frustrations about how you are being portrayed and how people are not taking you seriously could start getting you a little more noticed as the right motivation is there. Honestly, Voltage is doing you no favors and NEO might be a place for you to step back and refocus on character work. Give your character a complete overhaul and play with some new ideas.
Just please stop making sporadic threads for the sake of it too. You have writers you can message for stuff or a discord to talk things out in. Not everything requires a thread. |
