Just hoping to lighten the mood a little this week. 

What's the best Halloween costume you've ever had?

When I was 8? 9? I dressed up as Vader but I had a real helmet. The "helmet" that came with the costume was this very cheap plastic, the same as those plates you use on the 4th of July. It didn't even have a backing, it was just the facemask part with a rubber band around it so you could keep it on your head.

It was wack.

But they had this really nice replica Vader mask there, it looked like it was straight out of the movie. It wasn't even my idea to get it, my dad saw it and bought it for me while I was trying on the costume. Maybe I've had better costumes but it was my favorite. Nobody was gonna tell 8 year old me shit with that on.

One year my brother showed up at the house with his girlfriend when I was like 13 and he's like 'we're going trick or treating, right?' My reply was 'You're like, 20, right?'.  So we impromptu put together a costume.  I had some black, red, and white face paint for some reason,so I painted myself up like a skeleton, put on a my black adidas jacket, and grabbed a folding chair and went as La Parka.  My brother was still out of ideas, so he took some red and smattered it on his head and went as 'a guy I hit with my chair'.  The best part was the fact we only had one plastic bag for treats, and he felt left out so he grabbed a Christmas stocking and we went out trick or treating.

I haven't had very many good outfits, but that's one I'll never forget.

Another memorable one was also impromptu.  I went to my friend's house in Austin, TX a few years ago and she wanted to go as Boba Fett, but she was waiting for the backpack.  I had a thing for this girl at the time, so I tried to cheer her up.  I had no costume for this thing because I was a curmudgeon (still am) and she kept joking she wanted to wrap me in foil and have me go as a baked potato, so I promised her that if the backpack didn't come in on time that I'd do it to distract from her lack of backpack.  Well, the backpack didn't come.  So I was wrapped in some really horrible foil getup and we went on our way.  I rode the bus in this thing, walked down the streets of Austin in this thing, and when we got to the main strip we ran into some street artists....who just happened to be making people props for Halloween out of foil.  They saw me and shook their head in disgust, and then they hooked me up with this awesome spiked armor get up with a sword, and it looked just incredible.   I was sweating bullets, but I looked awesome.  So we went to the Alamo Draft House to watch a 'secret movie' that was secret because they found a copy of "The Exorcist: Heretic" that fell off of a truck and couldn't legally play it, so they didn't advertise it.  The guy comes up on stage, some hipster douche, and he's drunk off his gills, and he spots me in the crowd.  He asks me what I'm supposed to be, and I start telling him what happened and he cuts me off and says 'you cancelled out a full year of recycling for me asshole!'  Everyone felt uncomfortable but me  (save for, you know, the 3 lbs of foil slowly baking me alive).  So the movie starts and my foil suit's become too much.  My lady friend gives me the OK to take it off, so I do, and I ball it up into a ball that was about two feet in diameter and "enjoyed" this crappy Exorcist movie.  When we left, I went out in the lobby and stuffed the damn thing into a trash can, because fuck the earth and fuck that drunk hipster douche bastard trying to look and sound like Mitch Hedberg.  That one was probably my best costume.

Had a few good ones for Halloween parties in the last 5/6 years but going as Travis Bickle was probably best. Mohawk and all, jacket perfectly detailed. 

Did an alright Nathan Drake once. Mates and I dressed up in Adidas tracksuits and went as Slavs last year which was a bit last minute but still worked fuckin well. Made a poor attempt at Hulk Hogan; didnt plan ahead enough for a decent mo.

I was a pikachu and marvel's Black Widow once. Age 7 and age 23 respectively.

I was HBK when I was like 8 or 9. My mom did her best making it lmao. Since then I haven't really had any costumes I've really liked.

there's no such thing as Halloween in my place. you know, eastern countries....

I was Barbie Rapunzel when I was seven. I was entirely too hyped about that costume, probably the most excited I've ever been.

I dressed up as Queen Sharmell when I was ten and the costume was pretty easy. I'd done pageants so I already had all the stuff on hand.

My all-time favorite might be my Batgirl costume from when I was thirteen. My school's Homecoming was superhero-themed that year (and my dad paid like 50 bucks for that costume from Party City) so there was no way I was only wearing it one time.

My brothers and I dressed up as The Shield four years ago, which was pretty fun.

Zombie Superman momma elite went crazy with the make  up. When I was like 9 or 10

A few times I cosplay my character Azrael with variation, with a suit, leather coat or as a vampire hunter. When I was younger, I was mostly disguised as a vampire we can buy in a shop or as Death with a face paint.  This Year, thanks to my friend, I Borrow his Raiden costume ( from Mortal Kombat) to be the thunder god for the night.

Loved being a Cheerleader in first grade. Loved being Sleeping Beauty when I was in second grade. 

Most recently, I like the costume I'm wearing tonight. It was last minute, but it turned out well. c:
