Subject: Cruise Control: Episode 3 October 27th 2017, 11:49 am
This is something I kept putting off for MONTHS: the third episode of Cruise Control featuring Brody Sparks and Jacob Senn. I had kept telling Brody that I would get to writing this episode eventually, and even offered for somebody else to write the episode as well, but nothing really ever came from it except for maybe a couple of sentences. This is something I should have written a long time ago for her, but I kept putting it off for no real good reason and Brody really was looking forward to her being featured on an episode. After hearing the news earlier today about Brody - who became a really good friend of mine here - it saddens me that she'll never be able to read this. So, I felt that I should write this episode tonight in dedication to her. This is certainly not like your typical Cruise Control episode to anybody who ever read the first two episodes, and I wrote this I guess as my little goodbye to her; a friend I loved dearly. Mavis, I hope you're in a better place. May you rest in peace.
EAW Cruise Control: Episode 3
A GET IN THE SEA PRODUCTIONS
THIS EPISODE IS DEDICATED TO BRODY SPARKS.
(The sound of a car turning on is heard, and we can hear the engine rev. The camera pans through a parking lot, and we see a lot of different models of cars.)
Narrator: After an action-packed episode of Friday night Dynasty from Memphis, Tennessee, Jacob Senn and Brody Sparks are set to travel to Oxford, Mississippi for a Dynasty house show! This ride will approximately take 1 hour and 23 minutes to complete, with a total of 85.7 miles to travel, but this iconic couple are ready to hit the road and enjoy each other’s company!
(We cut to Brody Sparks walking through the indoor parking lot of the FedExForum, dragging her purple suitcase behind her. She is wearing a grey t-shirt and a black long-sleeved jacket over it, and blue denim jeans and black heels too. She begins to look around the parking lot, as she passes different models of cars. She pulls up, and wraps her arms around herself and in the cold air.)
Brody Sparks: I wonder what kind of car he’s bringing… it better be something fucking expensive or I’ll walk my ass to the next city.
(The sound of a car revving its engine can be heard off camera, and the camera turns to the outside to see headlights coming towards Brody. The car screeches as it pulls up and we see that it’s a dark red 2017 porsche 911. Brody jumps up and down and claps in excitement, as she impatiently rushes over to the driver door and opens the driver door.)
Brody Sparks: Baby, I--
(Suddenly, an Indian man jumps out of the car in confusion. He looks at the car and looks at her a couple of times, before smirking.)
Indian Man: Hey you a pretty girl, send bobs and vegaene?
Brody Sparks: MESS!! GET OUT OF HERE!!
(Brody pushes the Indian man out of the way, and sighs angrily. The sound of a loud horn can be heard in the distance, as Brody slowly turns her head back outside to see more headlights.)
Brody Sparks: If my man pulls up in a truck I swear to god…
(Brody grabs her suitcase and wheels it outside as she awaits her ride. It becomes evidently clear to Brody, that…)
Brody Sparks: Oh no…
(A rusty, red tractor pulls up next to Brody as Jacob Senn sits in one of the two seats up the top, wearing overalls, a cowboy’s hat and is chewing on something. Jacob jumps down from the tractor confidently, as Brody is about ready to explode in rage.)
Jacob Senn: Well howdy pretty lady. May I escort y’all to the Hillbilly Jamboree down in Hicktown, Mississippi?!
Brody Sparks: No! You cannot! Also, you aren’t even a Southerner! What’s with the accent? The tractor? And WHAT ARE YOU CHEWING?! GUM?!
Jacob Senn: Tobacco.
(Jacob spits out some tobacco onto the ground. Brody stares daggers into her man’s eyes.)
Jacob Senn: Alright, alright. Clearly the joke didn’t pay off the way I hoped. We’re not taking the tractor as we’ll be taking that porsche over there.
Brody Sparks: ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Jacob Senn: Of course lil’ darlin’.
Brody Sparks: OH MY GOD YOU’RE THE BEST!
(The two hug, before Brody slowly backs off.)
Brody Sparks: Only condition: don’t talk like a hick anymore please.
Jacob Senn: You sure, missy? I could love you like I’m your brother.
Brody Sparks: END IT! NO! GET IN THE CAR!
(The two make their way over to the car, as Jacob Senn jumps in the driver’s seat and Brody Sparks jumps in the passenger’s seat.)
Narrator: For the Elitists and Vixens of Elite Answers Wrestling, it is a road that never ends! YOU get to watch these wrestlers travel from city to city! This is their journey! This is their ride! THIS… IS EAW CRUISE CONTROL!!!!
(We cut inside the car as we have a perfect view of Brody and Jacob sitting in their seats. Jacob slowly pulls out of the carpark of the arena, as fans are there waiting as they cheer the two on. Brody turns her window down as Jacob slows down for Brody to speak to them.)
Brody Sparks: Hello! Hi! Yes it is I - the longest reigning Specialists Champion in EAW history! Thank you, thank you! Okay gotta go now goodbye!
(Jacob drives off down the street before hooking a right.)
Brody Sparks: Man, fans can be so damn annoying.
Jacob Senn: Maybe but you gotta learn to stop gloating all the time.
Brody Sparks: Hey, it’s not my fault I’m iconic.
Jacob Senn: Maybe so but you can’t keep acting like your title reign was the greatest thing since, well… MY title reign.
Brody Sparks: It WAS the best thing since your title reign. I’d even argue that my title reign trumps yours!
Jacob Senn: Uh, excuse me?
Brody Sparks: You heard me, bitch! What are you gonna do about it?!
Jacob Senn: I swear I will stop this car right now and you can walk to the hotel.
Brody Sparks: I’ll be good.
Jacob Senn: Damn right you will be.
(We get a shot from another car following them closely behind, filming the car on the road as it begins to speed up. We cut back to the two in the car, as Brody begins to respond to text messages on her phone.)
Jacob Senn: Shall we listen to some music?
Brody Sparks: YES! Here, this is the perfect time to pull out my new mix CD that Ryan Marx and Harvey Yor--
(Jacob Senn stares daggers into Brody’s eyes.)
Brody Sparks: I mean, uh, that I made for myself…
(Brody pulls out a CD case, before opening it and putting the CD into the car stereo.)
Jacob Senn: The fact that you still use CD’s in the year 2017 baffles me, hun.
Brody Sparks: Shh, it’s starting.
(“Hole” by Plump begins to play, as Brody begins to dance in her seat, and Jacob immediately turns the song off.)
Jacob Senn: Nope.
(Brody presses play.)
Brody Sparks: Yep.
(Jacob presses stop.)
Jacob Senn: Nope.
(Brody presses play.)
Brody Sparks: Yes, Jacob, please.
(Jacob presses stop.)
Jacob Senn: No, Brody, thanks.
Brody Sparks: MESS!! WHY YOU GOTTA RUIN MY FUN?!
Jacob Senn: If we’re gonna play some music, I’M going to be in control because I’M driving the car! Here, my phone is already connected to the car’s bluetooth.
(Jacob begins to press his thumb a few times on his phone while continuing to drive, before “Asian Jake Paul Diss Track” begins to play. Jacob begins to bop his head to the beat, before beginning to rap the lyrics.)
Jacob Senn: I WANNA BE GAY ‘CAUSE YOU’RE FUCKED AND I WANNA SAVOUR IT--
Brody Sparks (turning the song off): OKAY, NOPE! END IT! END EVERYTHING! GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER, JACOB!
(Jacob and Brody exchange in a playful laugh.)
(We cut to the map which shows the distance between Memphis and Oxford. We move forward in time a little bit to show that Jacob and Brody have travelled 31 miles. The time is 12:18am. We cut back to the car to see Brody continuing to text while Jacob continues to drive…)
Brody Sparks: Hey Senn.
Jacob Senn: Hey Brody.
Brody Sparks: Listen to what one of my fans tweeted me on Twitter.
Jacob Senn: I’m all ears.
Brody Sparks: “@SparklingPestilence, I want to spray whipped cream all over your stomach and lick it off after one of your matches.”
Jacob Senn: WHAT THE FUCK?!
Brody Sparks: Hmm? What’s up?
Jacob Senn: ...I DON’T WANNA HEAR ANY OF THAT SHIT!
Brody Sparks: Ohhh, come on! It’s funny! Here, listen to this one! “Hey @SparklingPestilence! Follow me! No, not on Twitter, to the bathroom where you can suck my d--
Jacob Senn: STOP IT!! NO!
Brody Sparks: Senny baby, are you jealous??
Jacob Senn: NO!!
Brody Sparks: Sis spill the tea.
Jacob Senn: I, just...
Brody Sparks: Senn, I’ve said it countless times that you are the only one that can have me. You’re the only one that can lick whipped cream off of my stomach after one of my matches for example.
Jacob Senn: Is this, like… is this conversation okay for this show?
Brody Sparks: I don’t care honestly. HEY! Listen to this one! “I would literally dip my balls into the fiery depths of Mustafar just to hear @SparklingPestilence fart through a walkie-talkie.”
Jacob Senn: ...now that’s just wrong.
Brody Sparks (putting her phone away): Yeah, maybe. Hey, how close are we to the hotel? I’m so sleepy.
Jacob Senn: We’re almost there. Don’t worry.
(We cut back to the map again, and we see where the two are currently at in their travels…)
Narrator: Jacob and Brody have now travelled a total of 78 miles! The time is 1:02am, and the hotel is just around the corner!
(We cut back to the two in the car, and Brody is starting to doze off. Jacob glances over at her for a moment, before nudging her with his elbow.)
Jacob Senn: Hey, you still with me?
Brody Sparks: Yeah, oh, here we are! We’re finally coming up to the hotel sheesh! I need some actual sleep.
(The car passes the hotel as Brody looks past it confused. She looks over to Senn, who is continuing to look ahead with a little smile on his face.)
Brody Sparks: Uhh, the hotel was back there wasn’t it?
Jacob Senn: You’re not going to the hotel.
Brody Sparks: Well then where am I going?
(Jacob slowly turns towards Brody, and the camera zooms in on Jacob’s face a little bit as he continues his little smile.)
Jacob Senn: ...to a better place.
("Black Gives Way to Blue" by Alice in Chains plays in the background. We turn back to the passenger seat, to reveal that it is empty. Jacob looks back out onto the road. We cut to the edge of a cliff, where the car is pulled up behind a park bench overlooking the ocean, as the sun is beginning to rise. Jacob Senn is sitting on the park bench looking out at the view. He takes a deep breath in and exhales, closing his eyes. After a few moments, he looks into the camera.)
Jacob Senn: Meagan Christine Vaughan. When I heard the news, I couldn’t even begin to describe to anybody what it was I was going through. I… I felt numb. I couldn’t feel anything at all which might be the saddest thing of all. I was at a loss for words. There is so much I shared with you in our one year together, and so much I still want to share with you even now. I sit here, alone on this park bench, wishing you were here next to me holding my hand and resting your head on my shoulder as we watch the sun rise over the horizon to begin a brand new day. However it’s a day, unfortunately, you will not be here for. But, after everything that happened, I’ve come to terms that while I lost my angel recently, heaven just gained a new one. And when St. Peter looks out through the clouds at those pearly gates and sees that my beautiful, incredible woman is coming his way, he knows that heaven truly is gaining something……. Iconic. I know you’re looking down on me smiling. You wouldn’t want me to be wallowing in sorrow. Despite everything sweetheart, I am so, so proud of everything you have ever accomplished in your life. So Meagan, instead of mourning your death today, I would rather celebrate your life.
(Jacob sits up from the park bench and walks over to the trunk of the car. He opens the boot and reaches in to pull out two party sparklers. He walks back over to the park bench, but instead of sitting down, walks up closer towards the edge of the cliff. He looks out to the horizon once more, takes a deep breath in and exhales again, as a crew member walks up to Senn with a lighter and ignites both sparklers.)
Jacob Senn: You may be gone my queen, but your spark will never die…
(Jacob Senn as he holds both sparklers into the sky as we slowly zoom out on him watching over the horizon, as the scene fades out into black, along with the song.)

Couldn't have dreamt up a better send-off for our beloved Brody. For all of the sadness that we feel now, this also made us laugh -- and that's what she'd have wanted for all of us. Reading this just reminds me of how much I'm gonna miss her humor. I wish she could've seen this. I wish she could've laughed with us all and seen how accurately you captured her and Senn's relationship of ease and happiness, Keelan. But know that you did her proud.

I was able to keep myself together as I read this. This made me laugh and cry. I loved how you wrote Senn and Brody's relationship and it sucks to see that I won't be able to see them flourish. Amazing job, Keelan!
