NEO is EAW’s developmental brand that new roster members will be placed on to begin their career in EAW. NEO is used as a proving grounds and a training grounds where people can get the necessary experience they need, as well as prove their reliability before being called up to one of EAW’s main rosters. How long one stays on NEO may depend on their development as a promoer and/or their readiness to contribute on a main roster. Generally, if somebody has shown that they need improvement NEO can serve as the place to go in order to hone their craft. If you are someone who stands out from the bunch in terms of quickly displaying the potential and ability as an elitist, then your chances of being called up will be higher. If you are someone who has been in NEO longer than another person, it is strongly advised to not let that discourage you as your time will come. Use this platform to make a name for yourself, gain a buzz, and when the time for your main roster debut comes you will be more trusted to be placed into an angle than you would have been had you started your career off there.
How does one stand out from the bunch and improve? Don’t be afraid to look at other promos on the EAW Promoz! Page as well as your NEO peers for reference, don’t be afraid to ask other members whether it be via forums or via our discord server chatroom for advice. Interacting with the community and showing how engaged you are can also help you as you end up getting a feel for the community and how things work as well as making your presence felt.
How does the call up process work? Each male brand(Showdown, Dynasty, Voltage) is entitled to one call up following each FPV whether it be interbranded or show exclusive. If a brand decides to forgo their draft pick for that month then another brand has the opportunity to pick in their place if they so choose to thus giving them an extra pick. All in all, there will be three call ups max per month.
What can you do once you've signed up to EAW? You can either post an introductory promo or you can wait until the following Wednesday for the card for the next show to be up, where you will find yourself on it and then post a promo. Getting acquainted with the community by posting on forums or coming to the chatroom in the meantime before you're included on a card can also prove to be helpful. It can serve as a good way to keep yourself occupied in EAW for your first couple of days before being included on a card to promo for. Sometimes people sign up and disappear within their first few days after signing up because there isn't much for them to do so these are things that you can to to avoid that.
What does one do after they posted their first promo? If you just posted a introductory/character development promo before being included on a card, you can feel free to do it again in 24 hours or just wait till you have a match. If you posted your first promo for the match you're in, your opponent has 24 hours to respond to your promo before you can promo again, if your opponent doesn't respond within those 24 hours you can feel free to post another one if you please, or not, it's up to you. When your opponent responds then you don't have to wait 24 hours from your last promo, you can respond as quick as you'd like. The 24 hour rule only applies to promos that haven't been responded to. This pretty much goes on for everyday until the deadline. There are no number limits to how many promos you can post in a weeks time, post as many as your heart desires as long as they are within the guidelines. The deadline is every Tuesday at 11:59 PM EST, which is the last day before the show is scheduled to be posted. If anything changes for the deadline you'll be notified on the forums.
