| Alright so anyone who has been here long enough knows that EAW has always gone with a comment system of posting promos. As in we have 1 thread or page and then people just comment or reply with their promos.
It's something we've done from our old website but I kinda get annoyed with how topics get split after 990 replies. Another thing that bothers me is when Promoz appear on our latest topics it'll take you to the last page rather than the latest promo.
Is this a dated concept, or is it a if ain't broke don't fix it type thing? The benefits of just letting me people make topics for their latest promo could make things more organized and also easier to find. Just want to know peoples thoughts on this from the board to the members.
If anything, we could break it down to topics within two categories. First category being our match promos, 2nd category being debut and character development topics. |

| I don't mind the way it is to be completely honest, but I could see the benefit being broken out as topics per each match and then the comments on that forum post being the promos between the people in the match. Is that what you were getting at? For instance there would be a forum post for each match on Dynasty and then the people in that match would promo inside of that thread? Maybe I am over thinking what you are saying. I guess I am used to the way it currently works because of webs. |

| Nah not like that. We'd just have a category for match promos, people would just make a topic for their promo rather than replying to the giant EAW Promoz thread. It'd work as you would post a new topic in General Discussion or EAW Discussion. |

| I think if you're going that route you may as well make topics for Dynasty, Showdown, Voltage, Empire, PPV build. Would lessen the mass flow. |

| Ah I get what you are saying, that seems a lot easier then what I was talking about. I would be down to try it, it would make looking for your opponents and their promos a little more seamless as opposed to hitting ctrl f and flipping pages as necessary. Probably would be easier for the writers as well but I could be wrong on that front. It at least seems that way. |

| Honestly, I'm on board with threading promos. It's a concept I used to not like but nowadays almost everyone has a unique style that I think they could even add more onto if they made the promo into a thread. (I'm pretty sure there's more customizable options in normal threads compared to what you can do on the promo page). |

That's actually 1 of the things I want to avoid tbh and pretty against. Hate when forums have too many sections, ends up looking pretty dead. Edit - Still TRE, logged in on this with my phone |

| I agree with TRE that having a section for each show would make it look dead. How about you do something where like, in the "Description" part of new topic, you have them specify which show it's for. |

| I prefer our old school way. I've been apart of a numerous amount of feds that had that system. I might just be nostalgic, but the system we have right now works perfectly. Yeah, it makes a new thread for itself when there's too many comments. But really does prove how active of an e-fed we are. Plus, I think people would be less likely to read other promos due to having to search and click through several topics. I prefer scrolling down, searching through the last few pages, and all that fun stuff. |

| I don't mind the way it is but in all honesty, I'm more likely to read individual topics rather than them being on one whole page but I am cool with the current method |

| My main issue with separate thread promos is that they would all appear on the Latest Topics section of the forum so it would be more difficult to find the topics people have recently posted in. Same with the "View posts since last visit" function which I use a lot. With just one promo thread it is easy to see what else has been posted, if every promo is a separate thread and I click on that it's gonna be a long ass list cuz of how much people promo and will make it more annoying to get caught up. |

| I think having a separate thread for each is a bit much but maybe a separate thread for each match would work then only the people in that match post in that thread and so on |

| I'm meticulously insane with this sort of thing. I thought you were going to suggest threading with each match on a weekly basis, i.e. let's say the match is Joe vs The Volcano, then Joe vs The Volcano gets it's own thread for Joe and the Volcano to promo. That would make me extremely happy because it would make opponents' promos easier to find, but I acknowledge the fact that such a thing is too meticulous for EAW considering how vast it is.
I'm pro brand boards though. Again, it would help things not get lost in the shuffle of everyone else. Between people getting on back and forth hot streaks and blowing things up, people changing board names constantly around here, and every brand being fairly active in general, I'd love to see a separate promo space for Dynasty, Showdown, Voltage, and Empire. |

| We'll probably just keep it how it is. As said I don't really like a lot of sections, and a thread made for each match is pretty crazy since we're huge and I know it'd become a hassle. My pitch was more of the same flow of promos but just made into your own topics for each time you promo. TLA also brings up a good point. |

| yeah, I'm going with separate it per brand tbh. we still use this same format but when we separate the promo per brand, people won't have to keep finding their opponent's promos but still scroll down and read somebody else's promo... at least for their own brand mates.
with this promo system who can do unlimited times of promoing and as Brian said, we are pretty big fed. I'm sure each brand will not be dead.
so yeah, I guess I'm with the idea of making "Dynasty/Showdown/Voltage/Empire Promos" and also make a separate one with PPV. |

| is there a way to filter? just to hit "filter" on a person's name and being able to to only read their promos on a page, or filter a couple of people by adding a user or something so if you're looking up an opponent, or people in a match you can just filter everyone else out and read the ones you need. |

Kinda. You click someone's name on the forum, then go to Statistics and under Posts click "Find all messages posted by name" and it will show all their posts. https://eawnetwork.forumotion.com/spa/TLAOr just type /spa/The Person's Name after the forum url. If you want only someone's promos then use the advanced search https://eawnetwork.forumotion.com/searchType in their name under Search by Author: and select Search in: EAW Promoz, and Display Results As posts.

| The whole point was to not do separate for each brand, FPV, debut, character development, wedding. I study and look around there's a method to the madness. We will just keep it how it is. |
