WHO ARE YOU?:

Raised in West Detroit, Johnny Nova spent a good amount of his time in and out of jail and juvenile detention centers. Attempting to better himself and learn discipline he wasn't afforded by a mother and father. He begun to train in MMA at Cooper's Muay Thai, MMA and White Collar Boxing Gym which eventually lead to him seeing his first indie wrestling show being performed in that very same gym. He fell in love with the art, the appearances, the glory and the roar of the crowd. It very much reminded him of the positive parts of his childhood in front of the TV on Saturday mornings. Deciding against future in MMA he went to train at the Wrestle Factory spending every cent he made both legally and illegally to do so. Johnny is a nice guy, the name Nova came from his ability to defy gravity, however he does have a mean streak and a ton of pent up anger from his early childhood that can sometimes be seen in his striking ability.

Since Pain for Pride X Johnny Nova has decided to pay tribute to one of his favorite childhood wrestlers of all time. With permission of this man’s family he has taken the “Macho” gimmick and is hoping to bring with it the success of the man who he admired so much as a child. He treats this as almost a split personality, when he is wearing colored shades, in the ring or has his patent cowboy hat on this side of his persona will show itself. When these things are removed he talks in his normal speaking voice. This will be used in his promos and they will switch back in forth. For the time being, all in ring work will be Macho Man related as well as his ring attire. The promos will contain a bit of both.
