What is the one nitpick you see in people's promos that you find irretating? 

Plus, I gotta admit, I am only doing this because the "What Can I do Better?" Game thread really isn't giving me the promo criticism I am looking for. 


Disclaimer; This is meant to be Constructive Criticism. Meant for more good than harm. 

For me; it's inconsistency, especially when your character's motivation changes on the fly and without any sort of explanation. It just comes off as lack of character development.

Hmmm.... You use Yet more than once in your last promo. Also maybe with your gimmick enhance your vocabulary with more outdated words or unnecessary big words. Bust out the thesaurus or find olde English accents to copy

@showster: These are things I've thought for a while now. Solomon Caine: I feel like your gimmick leaves very little room for progression and improvement. That has far less to do with your writing ability and more to do with the lack of room for improvement. Love the gimmick, dislike how hard it is to change and improve it. I also think that Jake could fit Caine much better if you used him in a different way.

Michaels: The pure italicized text and color hurts my eyes. That's about all.

@Zack Crash: You know I love the way you use everything Hardy does. But I feel like the broken thing got stale a little while ago and you're the only thing not making me have nothing but contempt for it. I just think you need to own it more.

Your promos are just fine. I would though like to see you color code speech from description. Nothing major though, you're a perfect cupcake.

There's nothing major you lack in your promos and that's one of the amazing about you, you're always at a 100%. Your coding with those promos are great and truly amazing to see your rise. So it's hard to find even the smallest of details. I mean maybe you could try a Character Development Promo, let us have a look at what Brody is away from the ring, give us a promo what happens away from the bright lights of Empire. Other wise you're perfect as a promo writer.

Honestly the broken thing has gotten a little stale.

I personally think you need to have Paradise win the war inside Paradise's head and just stick to that character.

Not so much as for your last promo but the obnoxious colors you did in a promo this month with the red and yellow.

I guess it would be not to show off your awesome coding

I feel like you just ripped it straight from Matt. My point is that you should make your own instead of just doing exactly like Matt.


@Azumi: I think that Aska doesn't fit you too much. I think she could, but the way that at the moment she's not a good fit. If you work toward it she'll fit like a glove.

I guess this comment could go for anyone.

Please do not choose a dark, dark color when typing your promos. I feel like it kind of clashes with the black background of the post; however, do not choose a highlighter like neon color such as a bright yellow, green or even red. It makes promos a bother to read sometimes.

Also, please pick a font that's not annoying to read like this one and especially, if you have promos written like this or like this,  it might be annoying if you're staring at the font for a long period of time. I mean, can you imagine reading things like this for a long as period of time? It's not fun for me to do so.

Just thought this could be useful for anyone joining or whatnot. c:

EDIT: I know I did the thread wrong. Maero, I like the strides you have made to better your character. I got nothing to complain about at the moment, tbh. Just keep doing you. I'll inform you if I think of something.

Hmmm, Cam...I suppose my only real nit pick is trying to see the heel in Cam. You're promos are A1 as always, just sometimes it's difficult to remember that Cam is heel, due to how she's written. At least to me sometimes.

This is not so much a nitpick but an observation. Over time you added more promo than story with your character, which was something I struggled with from time time. You have a healthy balance now. Keep at it.
