| For me, starting out it was the e-fedding aspect that I enjoyed more than anything, but it became about the community. If the e-fed thrived but the community was shit, I wouldn't enjoy it as much, and I probably wouldn't be around. There are some things I don't like in this community, but it is by far the most welcoming that I've experienced. I wouldn't be e-fedding without EAW, ergo I wouldn't have met many of the people on here that I've come to cherish and grow fond of. I'm thankful. |

| I'm thankful for Mortimer and Kelly simply because all though we all met through efedding we have discovered that in actual fact we're very much alike. Efedding and friendships go hand in hand to be honest; for example right now the FB efed community are being ripped apart simply because two of it's most respected individuals are at each others throats and have been friends for years so now FB fedding has gone to shit.
Friendships and efedding rely on each other. |

| I can E-Fed anywhere, there's always places to go but a strong community like this is rare. No matter how good the E-Fed is, if the community is shit there isn't much reason to stick around other than to promo, view shows and keep in touch. I value the friendships I've made here; there's some I come to the chat just to talk to regardless of how I'm feeling that day. It says a lot when I open up to people from another state or on the other side of the world more than the people I consider friends in the more "traditional" sense.
A community is never going to be perfect but that's just a fact of life; it's who you enjoy spending time with that matters. |

| I agree.... for me, having a match in e-fed is not about me calling out random bitch and going to beat the crap out of my opponent. My ideal match in e-fed is against the one I can consider them as friends. I experienced it that having a certain match with a person that I enjoy talking really build a connection and chemistry even in as a foe IC. I really have a very good time fighting them so I might think the friendship will indeed necessary in e-fed. |

| I was actually more interested in e-feds themself when I was new, but I usually end up messaging people, so yes, I'm more interested in the friendship, especially since we have chat rooms in almost every E-Feds I was in, lol. And of course here, I meet a lot of grear people, lol. |

| The community of an efed above all. It's much more fun to participate in something that I feel...personally invested in. And I've made great friends with people that have helped me to stick around and enjoy myself. |

| The friendships. The feds I've been in and stuck to have always had strong communities and people who I can relate to, making me want to keep coming back. |

| Friendships easily. That's why I've only been in feds that had an active chat/community. I can't imagine staying motivated for very long if I was just here to play the game. I mean it would still be fun but after awhile I'd just be like who cares if I'm not invested in anyone but myself.
I think that's one of the biggest mistakes new people who join up here and in other feds make. They come in don't know anyone and focus 100% on themselves and their promos which is fine but it leaves them completely out of touch with the rest of the fed. Then it comes as a shock to them later on when they realize nobody likes them (or cares about them) since they haven't really talked to anyone. Tbh this is true for about anything you join not just efeds, the first step should always be involving yourself and fitting in with the community cuz it sucks ass to be left out of shit. |

| It's kinda half and half. I became really good friends with E-Fedders such as the DeLions and Mortimer Gotch over our first fed together. Laura Laine for example I've probably known for a bit longer. Yet at the same time we probably wouldn't have ever met were it not for the feds. So in short it's kinda half/half. This fed thing has always been more of a fun hobby for us. If I retire however I'll most likely stay friends with half the people I met over the other feds I've been in. |

Friendships and efedding rely on each other. Glad I left when I did. Laura trust me, it's been an absolute schmidtfest there. In fact when Jakob and I finally finish our match in that one FB Fed, you might as well consider it a possible last hoorah for me. |

| It's weird because I've never joined an e-fed to make friends, but I have followed friends to e-feds if that makes any sense. Like, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for guys and gals from LEGION, IEW, CWF, etc., but some of that is because I know they're good and that I can test myself against them as a writer. Some of it isn't. Some people are just friends and some people, a lot of people, fall into both categories.
I've joined e-feds without going into chats before, or stating my opinion on the message boards, or messaging people. A big part of this for me is creatively venting and having a reason to write on a weekly basis. If I didn't do this, I'd be sitting in my room with a note pad writing for no one like a crazy person. Instead I get to...sit in my room with an electronic notepad open and write for others to read...not much of a difference, but it's somewhat social. EAW kind of sucks you in though. Again, the quality and output of everyone here is amazing. I've had very few weeks I'd consider 'easy' and I like that. It breeds a respect and comradery without really having to go OOC. But I do. I go to chats when I need someone to talk to, or if I need to read a bunch of goofs interact. I message people and praise them as much as possible when a week feels extra awesome. I write long diatribes and tirades on these boards constantly (like this one).
I never go into an e-fed looking to make friends, but I've never left one without at least one or two new acquaintances. It's just kind of the nature of the beast. |

| A blend of both, even if the community was shit I think I'd still be efedding. At the very least, if EAW dies I intend on finding another avenue to right things, be it efeds or something else-though honestly it'll be something I don't feel like I have to put in so much time. Actually even if EAW lives a lot, very a lot, longer I hope when the time comes I take a step back that Eclipse or RoV have one of those one or two promo a week type of shows or w.e here since I think I might be better suited there eventually.-
At the same time, even when it's over I'd hope to still be able to connect with some of the EAW folk, guys like Robbie, HBG, Imp, KS, Viper, KD, etc. I love this community, and I'm always glad to see when people are doing good, I'm still subscribed to Liam's channel and actually watch some of his stuff-I like Doctor Who and some of that stuff, but I doubt I'd watch him if he was some random guy.- |

| Friendships alone. What you have here in EAW, and its collection of people, can't be replicated elsewhere.
I'd probably be better off finding a different hobby, but the community has kept me coming back for years now. I don't see that changing, either. |
