Honestly not very long, started this year but have been writing very rare roleplays before that. I attempted joining e-feds, including EAW once before, but college took too much time and focus and most of my motivation had to be directed elsewhere. I heard of EAW through word of mouth by a friend who use to e-fed and i stumbled onto a few of the EAW eWrestling Wikia pages and well, here i am. - Jamie O'Hara wrote:

I was here as Riki NAKAI earlier this year. As for knowing you, that may have been a stretch, we had 2 minor interactions before but i remembered stumbling onto the Jaime O'Hara eWrestling wikia page that kind of helped my beginning interest in giving EAW a shot in the first place. |

Riki NAKAI was dropped because, although I had a nice direction in mind for him, writing for him wasn't all that fun for me, despite my love for his pic base. Plus with the surplus of Japanese wrestlers already in EAW and my lack of knowledge for Japanese culture outside of the wrestling aspect, i felt I had much more to learn before i could portray him in a way i'd be 100% happy with him. As for Finnegan, I wanted to have a character that evolves, doesn't come in as any form of big shot or character so we can see him evolve on-screen. His timid start is meant to make him feel a little more human and relatable of a character and therefore much more fun for me to write for. With my battling loves for Puroresu and England's current wrestling scene, I picked the one I felt had a smaller demographic to help stand him out. As an added fun fact, Finnegans starting promos are inspired by Hajime No Ippo to help tell his backstory. The first two "chapters" are even titled after the first two episodes of the anime. |

Second: Was there an expect from Riki and you would love to bring to Finnegan as your time in EAW passes. First and foremost, ANOTHER DG FAN! WOO! LETS BE BEST PALS! Secondly, I never really thought too much about taking anything from Riki, with the exception of YAMATOs Go To Hospital move, but over time i want to make Finnegan very much more confident in himself, and the almost always grinning, collar popping, stride in his step confidence I wanted for Riki would be the ideal aspect to take. It's very much coincidental that ZSJ actually does a collar pop, makes the transition with the pic base feel a bit more natural. Thank you for the thought provoking question! - Laura Laine wrote:

I hate to say it because it doesn't sound like there was much thought behind it, but I really just got the name because I thought it sounded cool. They were just two separate names I've heard before and when i mashed them together the way it sounded when i said it aloud just kind of clicked with me. |
