| like the title says lets share the experience of what hooked us on Pro Wrestling.
For me it was a Saturday morning in late February/early March of 1996. I was about 7 at the time and had just finished my usual Saturday morning cartoons (remember those) and happened to be channel surfing when I came across an episode of WWF Superstars. It was late in the show and I only happen to see one match.
In the ring was some jobber in a ninja gimmick, but his opponent that morning happen to be Shawn Michaels. Everything about Shawn caught my eye as a kid. His outfits were flashy, he had catchy entrance music, was incredibly athletic (I can't tell you how many times I tried to nip up), and was pretty darn handsome. In short Shawn was everything 7 year old me wanted to be when I grew up.
It also didn't hurt that Power Rangers was still a pretty big deal and seeing Shawn wipe the floor with a "Ninja" had me convinced that Wrestling was the way to go for self defense. |

| I don't know if one particular match made me a fan. My older brother and uncles watched wrestling when I was little and I just kind of grew into it from watching guys like Steamboat, JYD, and Dusty getting dominated by the Horsemen through the bars of my crib.
If anything really caught my attention and made me stand at attention and say 'this is for me' it was, strangely enough, one of the most botched and ridiculous angles in wrestling history; Sting vs The Black Scorpion.
It sucked me in hard with the Scorpion's magical pageantry and antics while white meat babyface Sting did all he could to overcome the odds. I knew it was Flair under that hood long before WCW bookers did lol. None of the matches really stand out to me from the feud, other than the final bout at Starrcade in a steel cage where Flair and Arn were finally unmasked.
I suppose what pulled me in was my love for the Stinger, my hatred for the Horsemen, and my abject love of ninjas and ninja-like things. I'd personally never seen a masked wrestler prior to scorpion, so as far as I knew he was just a ninja in my childish mind. |

| The 2004 Royal Rumble. I was about 5 years old when I first started. I was sleeping over at my Aunt's house that Sunday (My mom worked two jobs). I couldn't sleep, so I came downstairs when my aunt told me a "Royal Rumble" match was about to start. Seeing Benoit go to the end made me excited. So excited that when WM came around I begged my mom to let me go to my aunt's place and watch it with her |

| Not a wrestling match, but WWF Smackdown video game on PS1 is the reason why I like wrestling (especially WWE) so much, lol.
As for the actual wrestling matches though, it's just WWF Attitude Era in general. When they "opened" the Ruthless Aggression Era though, it made me loved WWE even more, lol. |

| I was 6 years old, and I saw WM19 with my dad while my mom was out of town for a Teacher's Convention in St Louis. I became really cranky that my older brother and sister got to stay up and my dad said fine and let me watch the PPV with him and then Jericho vs HBK came on... and poof! |

| I've been a wrestling fan for most of my life and while I can't pin it down to a singular match, when it comes to a rivalry, I'd have to say Sting/Hollywood Hogan really did it for me. The build FOR the match was, to me, phenomenal, and my simple mind thought the match was great at the time too. They were the epitome of larger than life characters for me, and not in WWE's corny cookie cutter way either.
The first match I can truly remember appreciating and considering breathtaking as a child was probably Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Dragon. I had to be like 6 when it happened, but I remember seeing it on Nitro and my uncle showed me their WW3 match that he had gotten from some tapes he bootlegged and I was blown away.
Bret Hart's matches I always paid attention to as well, mainly his matches with Shawn and Stone Cold which were fantastic. Again I was still really young but I could appreciate the in ring work even at the time. |

| There were many matches but if I have to point out a particular match then it has to be the Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship between champion Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania XX |

| The WM20 Triple threat match. I remember being around 12 or so I think and my dad got invited over by a friend to watch WM20 and since my mom was working I went with him. I remember the intensity when Benoit had the crossface on HHH. The weird thing is that thats the only match I remember watching that night. I was watching wrestling full time after that. |

| Mankind and The Rock vs Undertaker and the Big show buried alive match, Smackdown. HHH came in at the end with a sledgehammer and just started hitting everybody with it.
It had the big four of the five biggest names during the attitude era and I happened to watch that episode first. Loved it. |
