| Title.
For Me, it was Digimon Adventure (Of course it's an anime). I was born two years before it started and when I did get to watch it, it was already onto season 3, sure the show was trying to use Pokemon's Momentum to elevated itself but it so much more then a rip-off, being the five year old tomboyish girl that I was found, myself completely invested into the show. Serious the Human kids, all of which had some problem kids that age go through like Divorce, Adoption, Big Expectations, Being Spoiled and ETC. And most kids probably were able to relate to them or even one of the kids. Like I was thought I was so much like Kari, a little girl who was selfless, and usually sick like I was when I was younger. Not only that I met my best friend, who I still talk to today while I was playing the Card Game during one lunch period. It's a franchise that challenges to show topics that the other kids show could never handle.
WOW THAT WAS A LONG POST!!!!! |

| - Doraemon. I grew up with it. Therefore, I will always be watching it. Moral of the story, as long as we work hard, the world is fullfilled with hopes and dreams.
- Toy Story 3. No matter how old we are, deep down inside, we are still a kid. Toy Story 1 and 2 are great as well, but the third one is the best one for me.
I'm 100 % sure, I miss something or 2. But Doraemon and Toy Story 3 will always have a lasting effect on me. |

Land Before Time - This movie was such a huge part of my childhood. I loved dinosaurs as a kid and needless to say i loved this film. It always reminds me of better times when i hear the film theme and i always associate it with my own mother
Bucky O'Hare - I just loved this show and am one of the few who remember it.
Power Rangers - GO GO POWER RANGERS!!! DUH NUH NUH NUH NUH!!! |

WOW THAT WAS A LONG POST!!!!! Eh, this sure brings back memories, I remember LOVING Digimon Adventures when it first came out. I was a huge fan of the franchise as a whole (despite Frontier's attempt to murder it), and I always found it to be so much deeper than Pokemon. Oh and by the way, Digimon as a franchise was born, with a Tamagotchi kind of contraption for kids, BEFORE Pokemon saw the light, so yeah, those who claim Digimon ripped off Pokemon don't know what they are talking about. Another anime series I have been into a lot lately would have to be Fairy Tail. To my count, this series has made me get emotional or downright cry eleven times so far, and while it does have its fair share of shortcomings, I wouldn't be afraid of calling it one of the best anime I ever did see. I would really recommend it to anyone who is into shounen. |

| TV Shows: - Full House (I watched this when I was in middle school and for now, Michelle's cuteness are still last in my head) - Journey to the West/Monkey King (yeah, this is the favorite in my place. If you didn't watch this series, you are guaranteed to have no friends lol. I even still remember the opening song until now) Movie: - Dr. Bean/Mr. Bean's Holiday (the one comedy movie that I never bored to watch over and over. Yeah, I'm all about those corny sense of humors) - Space Jam (The movie that makes me love Basketball.) - X-Men series (Well, as the "non-fan" of American comics, I followed this movie from the first movie franchise. I don't care about your comment about how shit this movie is, I love X-Men movies!) Anime: - Pokémon (only the first series. Yes, I am a Pokémon purist who think that there is ONLY 151 Pokémons in this world. POKEMON GETTO DAZE!!!) - Sailor Moon (one of a Sunday Morning anime that I always follow. I had to fight with my brother to watch this lol) - Kindaichi Case Files (probably not the anime since this series filled with a lot of gore stuffs. But I was once collecting the manga of this series. Too bad my dad sold it to the local pawn store without my concern ) |

| -Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), This is my real Gateway Anime. also that made my Middle school's top Otaku. I've gave out my FMA DVD like 30 times or so time. I've turned Non-Anime fans into Anime Fans. It's feel nice doing that. |

| TV Show: The Twilight Zone (original run), it sparked my love for anthologies and short stories and set the standard for both. It's probably also one of the first sort of horror or sci-fi thing I ever truly loved. That's coming from a guy who grew up in the big slasher genre of the 80's, too.
Daria- I was a very deadpan and quick witted youth who thought he was smarter than everyone else. This show appealed to me for that reason.
Firefly: Because, seriously, fuck Fox.
MST3K and Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs/Penn & Teller- I love movies. Good, bad, campy, cult, art house, indy, animated, all of the above. That love came from two places in my youth, and those two places were Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Comedy Central and Scifi and Monstervision on TBS. Joe Bob taught me what good horror was despite critical reception, and MST3K taught me what bad was.
Movies: Clerks- There was a summer where my brother played Clerks on loop and it bored into my impressionable little mind. It affected my vocabulary, it gave me pride in my geekdom, and it taught me that I could make whatever I wanted to, and despite it's flaws and shortcomings, it'll have a following. I'm still a Kevin Smith fan to this day (despite Kev's attempts to dissuade me from being such) and it all started with Clerks.
I Spit On Your Grave: Day of the Woman- Yet another film I saw at an early and impressionable age due to my big brother. It was something I shouldn't have seen at that age and it's lasting effects are still with me to this day. This movie, along with my mom and dad's volatile relationship, made me a feminist/equalist/ whatever you want to label it.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?: Pop it in, I'll watch it any day of the week. If Tony Rolland had any influences in entertainment it would've been Freakazoid and Roger Rabbit.
Ed Wood: Again, pop it in and I'll watch it any day of the week. I love Ed Wood movies and I love the embellished movie about the man and the films. It's by far one of Tim Burton's best films.
The Life Aquatic: It's not even my favorite Wes Anderson film, but it took me 6 years to watch it because every time I started to something bad would happen....like, really bad. Like...death in the family bad. I thought the movie was cursed for awhile.
Anime- One Punch Man: Up until about two weeks ago there wouldn't have been anything to put in this section. I watched Toonami in the 90's as a kid,and I was into pokemon in middle school when the came out, but I lost love for anime in adulthood when I started watching what passes for adult anime. It doesn't click with me. And then a few weekends back I caught an episode of One Punch Man. I'd seen the trailers for it and it looked almost like an anti-anime, and in a lot of was it is. It's just about some guy who did a lot of exercises and suddenly acquired the ability to one punch monsters out of existence. He doesn't care about justice, he doesn't care about fame (well, sorta), he just does it for fun. Meanwhile he's surrounded by every anime troupe under the sun and he just doesn't give a fuck about their melodrama. It's one of those things, kind of like Beavis and Butthead, where it's so dumb that it wraps around to being brilliant again. |

| Anime ~
Sailor Moon - I can remember getting up at 7 in the morning and catching this on TV, and just being absolutely hooked on it. Mom got mad at me for being up so early but it was worth it because this anime, in all its forms, holds a very special place in my heart.
Trigun - Love..and...PEACE!...and donuts.
Cowboy Bebop - gritty, futuristic, and a fantastic music score. Wolf's Rain Witch Hunter Robin DBZ Shamanic Princess Bleach R.O.D Death Note
TV ~
John Doe - Underrated, but incredible show that was on years ago and got cancelled. Watched every episode, and Dominic Purcell was great as the leading character.
FlashForward - Another show I got into and got cancelled. Loved the plot. Mythbusters - Say it with me kids...When in doubt, C4. Through the Wormhole - Morgan Freeman narrating science? All of the yes. The Universe - my favorite series on the history channel. All having to do with planets, stars, my favorite stuff to study.
Scrubs Journeyman - Another one of those favorite cancelled gems that I liked. The Book of Daniel V (2009) Outsourced Revolution My Own Worst Enemy Reaper Pushing Daisies (dear god this was a cute show) Dirty Sexy Money Happy Town Dollhouse Ressurection
...This is why I don't get into new TV shit anymore. I get too into the show and it gets cancelled. A few of these are cancelled shows that I loved, that I still think about from time to time.
Movies ~
Scream - As campy as it is, I loved the series as a whole. Reincarnation - A J-horror movie. The plot is interesting. Pray - Another J-horror movie. Clerks Super Troopers - Right...meow? Mortal Kombat Resident Evil Toy Story 3 - Makes me cri every tiem. |
