| Stone Cold Steve Austin
however The Rock is the biggest transcendant star to come from wrestling of all time. |

| Stone Cold had the better influence in the profession wrestling arena, which is what I assumed from it, but The Rock is the biggest star from wrestling as no matter where you are, you know who The Rock is. |

| Stone Cold had the bigger influence when both were in their primes... so I voted for him, but as time goes on it's clear that the Rock is catching up and will soon surpass him, especially with one more run. |

| Everyone probably does know who Austin is, but he is nowhere near as relevant as The Rock. |

| The Rock is a megastar, and he transcends the WWE. "Nobody is bigger than the WWE," they say. True in every case EXCEPT The Rock. Rocky is an icon. As many people who don't watch wrestling know who The Rock is as those who do, in all likelihood. He is a media icon. He's not as influential strictly in terms of wrestling because Stone Cold Steve Austin at least gave future generations of wrestling something to aspire to, while many have tried to emulate The Rock and try their hand at acting, but failed miserably and could never come anywhere close to his box office success. As great as Austin is, he has never been, nor ever will be as popular as The Rock is today. |

Agreed. WWE wishes it could be as socially relevant as The Rock. |

| I'm going to say Austin. Austin kind of paved the way for antiheroes in wrestling, showing that its not necessarily the good guy who gets the cheers. |
