| GENERAL INFORMATION RING NAME: Tomas Elliot NICKNAME(S): None (see the gimmick section) PICTURE BASE: Sean O'Haire AGE: 32 HAILING FROM: Hilton Head, South Carolina HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 1.98m, 120 kg (for you americans, that would be 6 ft 6 in, 270 lbs)
CHARACTER OVERVIEW ENTRANCE MUSIC: "Come on" by Waterproof Blonde FAVORITE MATCH TYPE: All of them. He has done it all, and is good at all! LEAST FAVORITE MATCH TYPE: None. Again, he has done it all and is good at all!
WHO ARE YOU?: His gimmick is that of a big fish in a small pond, who is now moving to the ocean thinking he is a major star. Tomas Elliot has been all around the world, and competed in many many federations of the globe, so he now believes he is a major star, a marquee name whose presence will bring immediate legitimacy to EAW. This is also why he has no nickname: he claims he doesn't need one, as he is such a great, successful workers of course the fans know who he is, they don't need a nickname to identify him. The problem with that, of course, is that the "many federations" he has worked for were mostly minor ones, and while he did indeed hold numerous championship titles, most of them meant next to nothing (I am actually planning to make this a running joke in his promos, having him proclaim, with a completely straight face, to be "the longest reigning KSHLPW Television Champion in history". The names of these federations would simply be me hitting buttons on my keyboard at random). He is a very bitter person, obsessed with his own inability to ever achieve any form of relevant success: deep down, this is the reason why he costantly boasts about his (mostly meaningless) accolades, he needs to keep telling himself that his career was a successful one. Stating the contrary to his face will cause his more vicious side to emerge. He acts all high and mighty, looking down on the "elitists" of EAW ("You guys are supposed to be the elite? What a joke!") because deep down he is jealous of their success. Needless to say, such a character is tailor-made to be a heel, and would mostly be booed for his antics. However, with the recent evolution of wrestling audiences, who appreciate guys with indy backgrounds and respect people who have worked around the world, maybe the fans could sympathize with his tirades on how wrestling today lacks substance, for a face run down the line? FACE/TWEEN/HEEL: Again, this character was made to be a heel. I do not oppose a face run at some point in the future, but I am most comfortable playing villainous roles, so yeah. STRENGTHS: Again, Tomas Elliot takes pride in having wrestled all around the world. He claims to not only know all fighting styles (see the "in the ring" section for more details), but also to know how to counter them, he claims to have seen all moves, and that nothing can possibly surprise him. How much of this is actually true is another question entirely: if his experience and versatility are his main strengths, his ridiculously high opinion of himself is his greatest weakness. WEAPON OF CHOICE: None in particular ("I can beat any opponent without the need of weapons!")
IN THE RING WRESTLING STYLE: Big as he is, Tomas Elliot is mainly a power wrestler, but he has surprising agility and athleticism for a guy his size. He makes of versatility his main strength, and he likes to mix up different things. COMMON MOVES: I recommend watching this video, as it not only lists the moves, it also shows the theatrics that preceed/accompany them, which is something just as important in wrestling. It is a very well done video, credits to the guy who made it. The moves I will list below are all taken from it, so yeah, they are in the order they appear in the video.
Freefall Drop Sunset Flip European Uppercut Kneeling Camel Clutch Osoto-Gari Michinoku Driver II (also Military Press and Pop-up variants) Scoop Powerslam Gorilla Press Slam Sit-Out Spinebuster (also Slingshot variant) Kneeling Elbow - Stomping Knee Smash combo Sit-Out Powerbomb Release Vertical Suplex Snapmare Spinal Tap Arm Wringer Fujiwara Armbar Neck Wrench Inverted Shoulder Breaker Throwaway Body Slam Diving Neck Snap Kneeling Lariat Super Biel (tag team move)
SIGNATURE MOVES (3 MAX):
Somersault - As shown in the video, when Irish Whipped into the corner Tomas Elliot will sometimes jump on top of the turnbuckle, do a somersault to get behind the opponent, and then hit a big move when they turn around (typically a Superkick, a Lariat, a Spinning Kick or a Powerbomb).
Superkick - Somersault aside, this is one of the main moves used to set up the main finisher.
Memories (Fireman Carry Spinebuster) - Also used to set up the main finisher, can be used as a finisher itself occasionally.
FINISHER(S) (3 MAX):
BS (Best Senton) - Top rope Senton Bomb. The abbreviation, by the way, is intentional: have the commentators exclaim "And that's no bs!" when he hits it.

Funny you, of all people, would say that, because my second choice for a pic base to go with this gimmick was actually Eric Young :p And the first was James Storm, which was also taken, so I ultimately went with the third one, O'Haire... Not that I'm complaining, considering that I was a big fun of his back in the day! |
