OVERVIEW:

This thread is a must-read for the EAW Vixens, who will be competing in the all inclusive EAW Empress of Elite Tournament. This thread is to explain the rules and schedule of the Empress of Elite tournament, and the implications of the tournament.

The rules are EAW's own take of the G1 Climax tournament format. However, as a deviation from last year, this year will have 4 blocks of 6 competitors, and there will be 24 participating characters as a whole in this tournament, making use of the majority of the EAW Vixens division.

SCHEDULE:

Each block will be assigned to a weekly show as following: Block A (Dynasty) Block B (Showdown) Block C (Voltage) and Block D (Turbo)

The tournament will take place over the course of five weeks, beginning immediately after Dia Del Diablo and ending with the tournament finals at Territorial Invasion. 

There will be three exclusive Empress of Elite specials taking place in the three weeks. 


Special 1: Wednesday, August 17th, will host 12 matches with all 24 participants of the tournament. 


Special 2: Thursday, August 25th will host 6 matches with participants from Block C and Block D.


Special 3: Thursday, September 1st, will host 6 matches with participants from Block A and Block B.

Special 1 will not prevent all four blocks from competing that same weekend, and it will be quick resulted as well as posted on e-fed zone. Special's 2 and 3 however will be done live, and those participating in special's 2 and 3 will not be competing on the weekly shows of their respective weekend.

On the fourth weekend, the semi finals will take place pitting the winner of Block A against Block B, as well as the winner of Block C against Block D.

RULES:

The preliminary's of the tournament (basically everything before the semi finals) will be decided by points. You get 3 points for submissions, 2 points for pin falls, 1 point for forfeit or draw, and 0 points for a loss. If you are disqualified, you will be docked a point.

Each match in the tournament other than the semi-finals and finals will come with a 20 minute time limit (2000 word limit). If any of the block matches hit 20 minutes before there is a winner, it will become a draw, and both competitors will be awarded with a point. In the semi-finals and finals, there must be a definitive winner.

The person to leave their block by the end of week 3 with the most points will move on to the semi-finals. If there is a tie, there will be a lightning round tie breaker needed to take place three days after the prelim's come to a close, thus the participants will be given 3 days to promo for their tie breaker. 

The winner of the semi-finals will go on to compete at Territorial Invasion for the Empress of Elite crown.

AWARD: 

The person who wins the EOE crown will win the bragging rights that come with it. However, the 2016 Empress of Elite will also be awarded a shot at either the Vixens Championship or the Specialist Championship at Road To Redemption 10 this December, in a 1 on 1 match.

Whoever has the most points after the four block-exclusive matches will advance to the semi's, winners of the semi's advance to the finals.

We may decide to do a match based on the losers of the semi-finals to decide who comes in at 3rd place overall, but there is no prize for anyone other than the tournament winner. To the victor goes the spoils.

I actually have something in mind about the prize of this tournament, actually. I'm not sure you guys will alter some of the system you make, the reason of my idea is to raise the prestige of the Vixens Champion itself actually. Also to make every vixen think that they all have a chance to get that title while everyone can fight for the Specialist title too, but with Vixens title, the stake should be going higher.

Do you mean that the writers of the matches are limited to 2000 words? Or the people promoing are limited to 2000 words per promo post?
