It's officially going live and the brand split has returned. Who do you want to see on seperate rosters? Who to debut? idk about you but I'm happy as fuck.

If they're seriously serious about it tho you need to put Reigns and Cena on different brands.

It feels like going to be the split when it started with WWE Champ appearing on both brands. Unless they're bringing the World Heavyweight Belt back as well.

I'm hoping WWE goes against the grain of their traditional brand extension and actually divvy up the star power equally.  The smart move to drive this point home would be to put Cena on Smackdown! and have him act happy about it, and kayfabe wise he should be.  He came up on Smackdown! and he should consider it home.  This also gives room for Roman's 'brand' to grow without any immediate promise of a confrontation between John and Reigns.  

I'm also hoping for some alternative vibes to each brand; One brand should have the tag division, one brand should have the Women's Division, maybe bring back the Cruiserweight Division since WWE's running the series for no discernible reason other than scouting talent as well, and I'd be in for a Trios title of some sort considering WWE's penchant for making successful trios.  It'd also make factions like The (Balor?) Club, the Wyatt's, New Day, and Social Outcasts a reason to go against one another besides the warn out turf war angle.  That's probably the most speculative thing I can say, but the thesis is essentially that the brands should be different and having different divisions is a quick fix way to do that.

I'd also have the brands be different in content when it comes to one being for more of a mature nature audience and the other being a family friendly alternative.  Clearly the brands will be respectively ran by Shane and Stephanie, both of which have different ideas on how a wrestling program should be ran, so legitimately have them shape the brand in their image.

WWE's done a good job of making the IC and US belts legitimate and/or at least note worthy with their champions as of late and the match quality they put on.  Sure, the US belt hasn't had as hustle and bustle of a division fighting for the gold, but Kalisto has had some great matches with the belt, and let's not forget John Cena's run last year.  Even Rusev's previous run was great, and I hope he picks up steam again with it around his waist.  I'm hoping the WWE focuses on making these belts brand exclusive, almost 'territory' titles with the WWE Championship being the big world title.  Simply put, if the champion isn't around people should be fighting for that number two spot with the IC or US gold, and the people holding these straps should be the faces of the brand.

I'm also big on them using the Network as much as possible.  I'm still high on the idea of a board room, NFL styled draft being broadcast on the WWE Network.  As silly as it sounds, I'm not a sports fan and that's the one thing I'm kind of jealous wrestling doesn't really have.  I'd love to see the pomp and circumstance that athletes put into their drafting go into this WWE draft.  I also think it could make for an interesting storyline tool with people being bitter over being picked 'second' for their brand, or last for that matter.  NXT call up's could be made a huge deal as well, with Shane and Steph appearing at Full Sail in the crowd before drafts, like a coach scouting the minors.  Outside of that, the PPV market's wide open with the Network in play, so I hope they go back to the split roster PPV system with only events like Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, or Wrestlemania being the places the two rosters interact.

I also think ship jumping should be prohibited.  Again, I want Smackdown and Raw to have separate, but equal, identities.  If every big star goes back to Raw on the first week fans aren't going to take the draft seriously.  I'm hoping this is all Vince's way of testing his kids on how well they run a company, kind of like how NXT is Triple H's CEO resume.  If that's the case, I think cross-pollination will be kept to a minimum as he tests the fruit of his grape fruits to see how well they can build a star.

Is this all idealistic? Yes.  Will much of this happen? Odds are no, but I still feel like this is Steph and Shane's legitimate proving ground and that the only way the rosters will be held above one another is in actual show performance.

to what PB as added. Remember how many Main Event/Upper Midcard Talent, the original split created: Cena, Edge, Lesnar, Orton, Batista, Lashley (To some extent), CM Punk, Matt & Jeff Hardy, Mysterio, Johnny Nitro/John Morrison, Kofi.

And there might be chance for The Bragging Rights PPV to come back.

I'm optimistic about this until I remember what the SD roster ended up like around the last days of the brand split. But WWE right now has the largest roster in their company history so if they split it up correctly this could be goat.

YES! YES! YES! I am so happy the brand split is back! I hope Smackdown gets the World title back if not make the US/IC title the major title. Would love to see the Cruiserweight title back as well with the tournament coming up around the same time. Agreed with the draft, the most important draft in sports every year is the NFL draft. I love the NFL and the draft is awesome, WWE should really take notes and do a style draft like that and do it PPV style and put it on a Sunday night on the Network. If they did RAW/Smackdown PPVs as well, that would be sweet. But the most important thing about this draft is the star power for each brand. Roman and Cena needs to be on seperate brands, no doubt. Put him on Smackdown so he can sell out shows and pull a Rock and make him say Smackdown is his show while Roman is on RAW still trying to get over. Seth, Dean, Wyatt, AJ, Balor Club possibly? The list goes on and on....Shane and Steph will likely run one show to continue the McMahon Family Feud rivalry and should be fun. What do you guys think is gonna happen or must happen? Anyway let the hype train begin!!
