| The most watched event every 4 years is upon us in 4 days between the two powerhouses Germany and Argentina. I didn't flood the forums with predictions for other matches but this is the final, so I'll ask who you think is going to win and also predict the score (e.t. and penalties if you think so) Germany vs Argentina My answer is obvious: Argentina. |

| idk, I've love to see this crop of German players actually win something ( cept you Ozil ) and they've been by and large the much better team in the World Cup than Argentina but Idk, they're gonna pose a huge attacking threat but they'll play a high-line defensively and Messi is probably the last guy ( or Robben ) you want counter-attacking you on that so this could go either way. But since I started with Argentina at the World Cup and I really want Messi to become unquestionably the GOAT, Ima go with Argentina. |

| Germany. If it was Netherlands versus Germany and we could decide on a good first penalty kicker, I'd pick Netherlands. |

| I'm on the fence. Basically, it's an unit versus a team. Germany are this unit where they know, from past experiences, just how close they've gotten only to stumble at a hurdle. However, Argentina, with a fantastic Messi, can be dangerous on a counter. However, Messi has only had flashes of brilliance in the whole tournament and that's that. Germany have been constantly great throughout and do look favourites going in.
Their performance against Brazil wasn't dampened by Brazil's fucking defence being made to look like 4 shits lining up with no desire and no determination with 1 massive shit in the middle, who was their captain on the night and basically did nothing as captain. No, Germany did what teams are afraid to do at times and pressure Brazil when they have the ball. One rule against possession teams - pressure them. When Barca have the ball, they play. When they don't have the ball, they pressure. If anything, Germany need to do what they've been doing throughout and try and clamp down on Messi with their 'special plan' and, then, I do not see Argentina getting into a groove and Germany will dominate
I say Germany 3-1 Argentina |

| Anybody thinks Brazil pulls through against Netherlands tomorrow? After all, it is their home field and their captain returns. I'm stuck in between but I suppose I'll go with the home side Brazil. |

| In terms of the Brazil vs. Holland match, if Brazil can replicate their great performance against Colombia and Luiz actually PLAYS for once, then I could see them winning. Although, I doubt it and especially without Neymar in attack. Your mind, after a 7-1 demolishing and having to play 4 days later, they won't have recovered 100% mentally. Their defence will be twitchy, Fred will still suck (that's if he actually starts) and Holland have added desire to win with van Gaal leaving, Van Persie wanting to get a goal in these knockout matches
I see it being Brazil 2-3 Holland |

? I'm still here and he's still by far the best player in the world. I also recall the team Argentina losing, not Messi. As much as I wanted Messi to win the world cup to put down a pin in him being the best ever conversation, Germany had more deserving winners. Congrats real Germany fans and bandwagon ones. |

| Very good final that summed up a GOAT World Cup, Argentina really should have won 2-0 at the end of 90 minutes, by far the better team and had the better chances, shame they couldn't take their chances and Neuer also should have been sent off but hey ho, Gotze scored a absolutely brilliant goal. How didn't James win Best player of the tournament |

| ALLES FUR DEUTSCHLAND!
Absolutely fantastic game, to put a stamp on the best world cup in the modern era, as Darke said so himself. I'm so glad for the likes of Klose, Podolski, Mertesacker who probably saw their last world cup. The future is still grand for the team, per usual... but that surprises no one. Klose may have that goal scoring record now, but 8 years from now Muller will be breaking it.
Argentina is a deserving opponent who just ended up on the wrong-side of the stick today. The best team still won, though Argentina could have easily pulled this one off. This isn't about Messi losing, this is simply about a German team that was able to close it out when it mattered. Honestly, this World Cup was aligned for them to win all along, and if they failed to do that, well, would of been a lot of soul searching and media ridicule saying choking is just in the team's DNA like it was 4 years ago.
Just purely excited for this one... now onto a very exciting transfer season. |
