Since everyone's getting all 90's and pre-grunge, might as well post some Sonic Youth. The girl dancing around in the video is Kathleen Hanna, whose probably the last feminist to make sense. She spear headed the whole 3rd wave riot grrrl thing with bands like Bikini Kill and Le Tigre. She's also famous for writing "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" on Cobain's wall, thus inspiring the hit, and married a fucking Beastie Boy later in life. Out 90's that shit. Sonic Youth inspired Kurt Cobain as well. Might post some Pixies, too.

Kurt Cobain also admired the Pixies, to the point that Smells Like Teen Spirit sounds so much like a Pixies song that Kurt felt bad about it. The song people point to is U Mass, which does sound like Teen Spirit in the chorus, but I always thought he was referring to Debaser because the opening guitar riff in Teen Spirit sounds similar to one in the song (to me anyway). Pixies were actually more 80's than 90's, but yeah, they pull the reunion out every now and again, Frank Black gets pissed off at Kim Deal and eventually apologizes for being a dick. Still love me some Pixies and the Breeders for that matter. Always wanted to use this song as an entrance theme, but never found the right character to do it with. Maybe when I barbershop window HBB....
