Gimmick (20 words or more): Dahlia is not your typical girl, not by any means. She is everything the 'all American girl' is not. She is edgy, holds nothing back, speaks her mind is not afraid to get down and dirty with anyone. Male or female, Dahlia can hold her own against anyone. She is the definition of a loner, meaning, she does not associate herself with anyone. She stays by herself and only looks out for who is number one-- her. She lives on island by herself and has no plans on leaving any time soon. Her moveset is vast and uses techniques she picked up by training with various wrestlers from around the world. She uses multiple suplexes, kicks and high flying maneuvers to make her stand out from the rest of the pack. She got her name from the famous crime from the 1920s, dubbed the 'Black Dahlia Murder' which is also the name of her finishing maneuver, and from Marilyn Monroe, someone she personally idolized growing up even though she had passed decades before she was born. To make a long story short, Dahlia Monroe is not your average woman and she will let you know that.
Behind the hair, tattoos and social angst, Dahlia Monroe (real name Lindsey Atherton) grew up in Queens, New York with aspirations to be a professional wrestler since she was a child. Watching Lita as she grew up helped her shape her character and who she wanted to be like. She idolized Lita more than anyone, but it was her love for the punk music scene that really shaped her to who she is today. If you were to look at her iPod, you would see Punk bands such as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Misfits, Bikini Kill, Green Day and others making up the most of it. She knew at a young age that she wasn't like all the other girls in her class. While others were playing with Barbies, she was playing with her Lita action figures. She would practice her moves on her trampoline in her backyard, hoping one day to be just like her idol. At the tender age of 20, Dahlia is ready to take the world of professional wrestling by storm.
