Detailed Entrance Description: The lights around the arena dim as the drumbeat of “The Gauntlet” kicks up. As the guitar hits, Jameson Royale steps onto the stage and takes a knee for a moment, quiet and still. As the music picks up, he jumps to his feet, suddenly full of energy. He goes from one side of the stage to the other, pumping up the crowd. Then he makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans. Right before the chorus, he jumps into the crowd, shouting with several fans at the top of his lungs:
“STAND UP AND FIGHT, AND I'LL STAND UP WITH YOU!”
After the chorus, Jameson jumps back over the barricade and rolls into the ring, jawing with the fans.
WRESTLER’S IN-RING INFODisposition (Face, Tweener, Heel): Face
Gimmick (20 words or more): Like all Royales, Jameson is a superior fighter, born into a family with a rich history of strong warriors. Honest, direct, and simple, Jameson can't be accused of overthinking anything. But while it's easy to call him a dumb redneck, those who face him in the ring soon realize he's a lot more cunning than he appears. Very few people can match his striking capabilities, and his technical capabilities exceed many people's expectations. Also, he has the tendency to shout the names of his signature moves and finishers as he wrestles.
Specialty Match: Anything involving teaming with his brothers
Weapon of Choice: A simple steel folding chair. Jameson loves its versatility and will use it in a variety of ways: hitting people with it, performing moves onto it, kicking it into opponent's faces, etc.
WRESTLER’S MOVE-SETCommon Moves:
-headbutts (standing, running, diving, flying; popular opinion in the family is that Jameson is too stupid to suffer from concussions, and Jameson uses that to his advantage)
-large variety of kicks (most popular being roundhouse, spinning back kick, enziguri, gamengiri, and spinning heel kick)
-discus elbow
-running high knee strike
-snap swinging neckbreaker
-sprinboard moves: reverse elbow, dropkick, clothesline, moonsault
-Hesitation Dropkick to cornered opponent
-implant DDT (often onto the apron)
-suicide dive (over the ropes, through the ropes, no hands; Jameson does it all)
Signature Moves (7 Max):
-
Royale Shine: quick and deadly superkick; this is the signature move of the entire Royale Family. Legend is that Great Great Grandpappy Zeke Royale was taught the secret of this kick from drunken kung-fu master he bested in a drinking contest. While it lacks the power of some superkicks that others use as finishers, it makes up for it by coming out of nowhere, often used after dodging or countering a move. Sometimes used multiple times during a match, even one right after another, especially during a Royale Hoedown (see Royale Family profile).
-
Single Malt Slam: Standing Moonsault Slam
-
Cannonball Dropkick: Jameson leaps off the top rope, tucks into a ball, and explodes out with a dropkick just as he's about to hit the opponent.
-
Sidewinder: Sling Blade
-
Beaumont Two-Step: Ripcord Lariat
-
Humble Pie: running single-leg front kick to the face of a kneeling opponent (during which, Jameson shouts “EAT THIS!”)
-
Rebel Yell: sit out side slam (Jameson often shouts out a “YEEE-HAW!” as he performs this move)
Finishing Moves:-
Rattle Them Bones: fisherman's buster floated over into a small package (God's Last Gift / Small Package Driver)
-
Whiskey Sour: a high angled dragon clutch
