yes, I often come to the chat but rarely communicated with some people inside it. I only talk to a few people for some reason. I live in the world apart when the time I can online is the time when all of you guys are supposed to sleep, I also too afraid to involved in any conversations.... probably the same reason like Cam. You guys seems hostile when I see those forum fights and stuffs and when the time you guys are kind, I'm afraid you become hostile again so I avoid myself to get involved and talk to a certain people through PC instead. I lived in a peaceful fed for almost 5 years before and I'm not get used to this kind of circumstances so well.... you know me, I rather be a passive person in the chat.

Well, what drives me away is the chat is the arguing between some of the people on here. I thought this was supposed to be a "friendly community", but you get people acting like drunk idiots, people getting into stupid fights (I mean, arguing about a fucking picture base? You got to be kidding me.) from either something said in the chat and bringing it to the discussion fourms and it's just too much drama like talking shit about the LGBT community and picking on other members, who have done nothing wrong. It's too much for me and I'd rather not place myself in the middle of that negativity.
Most of you seem like great people, but there are just some that should be a lot like you.

I used to be active there, for like a month. That was until I started getting a 40 hour/week job to try to cover the cost of my school tuition for the following two months. Now, I still don't have time because of sports and academics. Some days, I am legitimately done everything at around 10:30PM, and I just don't have the energy to do much. The time I do have free is either used doing homework or doing promo work.
I mostly stick to the feed nowadays. There's a little bit of entertainment there.

Honestly, in the little bit of time I've been here, I've come to adore a lot of you, which explains why I do actually post around here and try and have Aria do things like interacting on the feed. Obviously interacting with everyone is something I'm making a conscious effort of trying to do, but the impression I've gotten of the chat is basically gonna echo what Cam had to say. Drama and hostility aren't things that I wanna be knee-deep in. That, and I've had shitty experiences with equally crazy group chats in other feds in the past, so I'm not interested in dealing with repeats.

well, maybe that's what they think.... the jokes and trolls are somehow too much for some people and often turned into some kind of unfriendly environement. I'm actually fine with this maybe because I don't understand what are you guys joking and trolling. well, culture difference, you know.... but for some people, the jokes and trolls are maybe a little bit uncomfortable.

You people act like the chat is in full fight mode 24/7 and there's nothing but arguments and bullshit there. It's chill I'd say at least 90% of the time and arguments don't last. Arguments are mostly on the forums because people can't come up with responses quick enough in the chat but that's not my point. If you wanna get to know people come to the chat, if you don't, don't. But honestly people like Cam or whoever Showster26 is, acting like everyone is hostile all the time and wants to pick fights with random people, that's not what happens at all. Aria; I would urge you to visit the chat regularly, the forums and the feed are cool, but getting to know people on the chat is another level of community that SHOULD be a big part of people's EAW experience, providing you have the time and capabilities to be there.

I as well also think the chatroom is actually way more chill than forums regularly.
Minus my occasional Eminem lyric spamming and my rants in regards to foot fetish porn/torturing my balls/taking candid feet pics at the beach/my hatred for kikes/my small penis/ifshe10im10 I find the chatroom to be a nice chill spot where we sometimes joke around, sometimes talk about our personal lives, sometimes share and receive advice, get into some political/social/philosophical discussions, live watch wrestling/sporting/pop culture events, talk about current events in the world and in EAW and engage in sometimes strange yet provocative discussions.
Though there are times where sometimes the chat is not welcoming during an argument, and even then it provides interesting entertainment for those who are not a part of it. Occasionally people get trolled, but not always.
There's also the live show element which, when it's at its best, there's NOTHING in e-feds like it. Take Pain for Pride 8 for example. That crowd was fucking HOT, it was so much fun. I probably spent a combined total of 12-13 hours commentating that two day event and the crowd was so fucking good it made it fly by so quickly and made commentating feel like a thrill. In my opinion an active live show is what makes EAW more special than any fed. Any other fed can have great writing, great graphics and even great promos and forum activity if they have the right people in the fed but the concept of the live EAW show and the way its done in chat when everyone is active is what makes this place far and away better than every other fed, and its a shame how taken for granted they are these days.

While I think Cam is correct on some things like the pettiness of some arguments and how people (even me sometimes although I think people find my antics generally humorous or at least interesting--I sure do) can act like buffoons, I will say it's been much worse over the course of EAW and I think now more than ever people are more sensitive to other peoples feelings. In the past as soon as you stepped in the chatroom you were subject to be abused whether it be guested/banned/racially and personally abused by our trolling GFX team at the time, or put to "work" by CC and RRS looking to cleanse rookies who may be weak hearted or weak willed from the system by trolling or tearing into them, or then you'd end up dealing with a younger me and Banks' insanely high expectations of loyalty to EAW and activity in live shows. Not to mention if you were per say gay, or were transgender or were not of "the mold" in some way or had different political or social views than people of influence and power, there were certain times where there'd a good chance you'd either be rejected and outcast and persecuted and ripped on by everyone, outed for your personal life and treated as a laughing stock or abused/fired by an authority member, or a combination of the three. Hell even me when I was younger and much more hot headed and intolerant had said that I'd ban any "faggot up in their feelings" and was much more stern and meanspirited. Clearly that's not the case now since I welcome different people of all walks of life as long as you're not imposing your views and practices into the face of others in an unsightly manner; I think the majority of EAW feel the same way I do as well.
I really don't find the chat to be much worse than forums, but if any of you feel like one way of being in EAW is comfortable than the other please don't feel the need to oblige to our whims or suggestions. Only thing I ask of you bare minimum is to promo and read the scripts. I myself am a member of other forums where I really don't give a fuck about the drama that takes place there and am only involved to post what I need to post to be considered "involved" or "active". So I get it. Only thing I would try to encourage and strongly promote is the live show aspect. All of our FPV's are live on the afternoon of the date in which the show is promoted to take place (TI will be live the afternoon of September 26th) It might be a weird concept at first of WOOOOO'ing and BOOOOOO'ing and chanting and acting like an actual live crowd in the chat, but I've seen people constantly come in and say their first live show did not disappoint and it gave them a cool perspective on how EAW "works." The FPVs can be long, longer than even a WWE PPV and the weeklys (whenever they happen) can be as long as a WWE weekly show but it's still a staple of our fedding experience and I've seen plenty of people have a blast during it. Fuck the drama; the promos and live shows are all that matters here. And if you can't be there for the live show, you can certainly read it and grace our writers with your feedback.

If you can't handle other people's cultures then please stay off the chat. You are the problem. Maybe once you grow up and put your prejudices and petty stereotypes behind you, you just might find the world to be a fun, diverse, and interesting place. I really don't care if you come on chat or not, but blaming this on culture differences is ridiculous. People need to take some personal responsibility and admit they are afraid to come on chat rather than make excuses.

what? I didn't say I don't like your jokes and trolls. I just don't understand it the culture differences meant that I don't know what jokes that happened in there like Kimbo always said about prostate check, I know that is some kind of today's joke but I don't get what it is so I just feel that maybe I interpreted that joke in a wrong way. I also silent in there where you guys are talking about something common that I don't really know about it. that's because I don't understand about what's happening today. that's what I meant the culture differences.... if it's not about that, then I apologize for my lack of vocabulary because I picked a wrong words to describe it. Just.... can you just not being hostile like that? I believe this little problem can be solved with a cold head. .....again, I'm sorry if I picked a wrong word.
EDIT: this was actually just a misunderstanding. we are already talk about this.... this is basically scripted for my heel turn promo training. so yeah, please visit the chat sometimes and meet me and every nice bunnies there. see you!

I've gone to the chat few times and they were positive experiences. I like getting to know new people. The live show of Pain for Pride was magical. The reason why I don't go on much is out of my hands. I am usually extremely busy with work and now school. Hopefully once my work load clears a bit, I'll be going to chat more than like once every few weeks.

If you aren't going to come on chat because you don't want to that's fine. Nobody cares. But don't blame anyone else but yourself for not being there. I misunderstood what Haruna was trying to say earlier so this isn't directed at her or anyone in particular. It's directed at anyone who does happen to be intolerant enough to have a problem with how others behave. EAW has people from all over the world and all kinds of cultures and social groups. If you can't handle that then I advise you to stfu and realize this is the only way an international forum like this can operate while respecting everyone's freedoms enough to still be fun for the majority.

You can always ignore people in chat-I don't particular get offended by anything, but I do get annoyed by the longevity of people trying to bother you, like I'm fine getting insulted or trolled, but not for hours or every day, right now I only have Kimbo ignored since he always pcs/pms me and in general says stupid shit almost 24/7 and tries multiple stunts to get my attention.-. Though I don't particular support or unsupport the need to come to chat. Just saying a suggestion. Well actually maybe I do support the idea of coming to chat because live shows were always stronger when we had the strongest chat community and I feel live shows help with the overall growth and stability of the efed, without live shows I assume writers become less motivated, people read less what's going on and idk there's just a certain atmosphere that is gone from being in the efed. At the same time, the EAW chat can be different from the norm when it comes to what's allowed, so I can't particular tell people they should come if they aren't comfortable with that since we're the ones against the established norm.
I don't particular see why people are speaking so much about the past however, it's not like EAW being worse in the past will convince new people to come to the chat more these days. It's obvious where the world is going and how the rules are in basically any other website with communities on the web, not even speaking just efeds. It's not like saying Ronn made fun of EE's cancer will convince a rookie to come to chat to be made fun of for their cancer just because it happened in the old days more severely. The internet and the world is changing, it's up to us to adapt to those changes and be consistent about it to be all inclusive or accept what happens if we don't if we remain more of a cult following or our own nest in some ways. I for one don't want EAW to be censored and would prefer people are allowed to say what they want but I would also want people to be responsible for their positions as mods and owners and do something when harassment goes long enough that it might as well be spam or never ending. For example, there's a difference in making a possibly offensive comment/joke and then crossing the line of making a multiple hour fest of offensiveness, or pcing people almost every day just to bug them. Of course this is just my opinion.
I actually disagree with you TLA. After all, none of these people made the thread or were complaining. We were chatting about lack of people coming to the chat a few days ago and then Imp made the thread asking people why they don't come. So it's kind of ridiculous to tell them to STFU about why they don't come to the chat, if what we were looking for was to know why they don't. In fact, considering we support no censorship to a degree, it would be hypocritical to try to censor people from saying things they don't like about us or the community, especially in a thread that basically almost asks for it. Also I disagree with us being international at this point, I consider us more of a type of people who desire to stick to our core values and we're more about a select type of people/style, most of the big websites on the web are not like us. I do think we should keep some of our core values because it makes us unique. EAW is not selling out to the international, not the other around.

I'm not telling anyone to stop complaining. Far be it for me to stand in the way of free speech. That's why I used the word "advise". I am strongly advising nobody post this opinion because I find it highly ignorant but I can't stop you if you want to be. I am strongly against censorship which is why I disagree because this opinion would imply a desire for it. I am not saying anyone does feel this way but some posts are dangerously close to it. Also I have no desire to stick to EAW's core values so you can count me out of that philosophy for what should be obvious reasons if you know me at all.

Well maybe you and I have a different perception of the term core values of EAW. Because to me EAW was always a place of a certain level of free speech and gave a lot of us a place where we can be ourselves without too much PC interference in a world that is losing a lot of it's common sense where the smallest thing now is completely blocked. So to me that suits what you were saying, since we always allowed more freedom than most places.
Maybe by core values you're thinking of not being allowed to talk back to authority and dictatorship, I know you disliked about us in the past when it comes to that. In that sense I agree with you, and my bad for not taking that into account. So I guess maybe our concepts of core values need to be fused.
