| My father is annoying as fuck sometimes. I admire him nonetheless. He has been through so fucking much. Sometimes I don't even understand how he's able to smile after all the suffering he's been put through. I've talked to DC about him and his issues so he kinda knows. Despite every negative thing he has experienced in his life, he's one hell of a dad. Honestly, I'd rather have someone else as my dad... But he's still a great dad. Could be better, but yeah. |

| Even though I haven't had a real relationship with my father, he has been through a lot, ever since he was a child. He lost his mother and father at a tender age of three. He then went on to live in isolation for many years, because he didn't know what it felt like to be loved. His uncles would later take care of him, until they also died within a four year period. When my dad went on to marry my mother, there would always be disputes. My mother would be critical of my father whenever he sends money abroad, because she thinks that my father "is too focused on his family". However, I realized that my father is rewarding the individuals that took care of him as a child, gave him an education, a job, and so many opportunities. Even though we rarely talk to each other in the house, respect was talking.
You guys take care of your father, ey? You all may be dreaming of inheritance, moving out from your parents and all that, but take the time to fully be there in support of your father. Whenever he comes home from work, take off his shoes and put his socks on it. Whenever he sits down on the couch, grab the remote and place it over his lap. If he asks about the bae he saw kissing you the other day, say the truth. Today is about being loyal and dedicated to your fathers.
Have a good day ya'll. |

| My father is extremely compulsive and be worries too much. He's strongly homophobic and is quite cheap (a side effect of coming from the Jewish Jewelry merchant background that he came from) he never likes spending money, and makes a big fuss about it when he has to (even on Birthdays or special occasions)
Those were the negatives, lets talk about the positives.
He's extremely funny, quite caring. Understanding and sympathetic. Attentive, and I've always told him that his smile lights up a room. Through my father's flaws, I'm able to see the good things about him. After he checks on me (quite creepily in fact) at almost every hour of the night. I have to remind myself that he's just checking if I'm okay
TL;DR: My father has his flaws. But he's great nonetheless |

| I love my pops, even tho hes a bitch nigga so much of his ways rubbed off on me and I still look up to him since hes done so well for himself growing up in a broken home and pursuing his goals annd being able to raise me and my siblings after my moms passed. His antics and his personality though sometimes annoying are sometimes great and he always taught me to always live by a system and have a fucking sense of humor even though most of them were through drunk stories. Even tho I refuse to move back in w/ him ill always respect my pops |

| My dad grew up in a small town in the province I live in, Melfort. He was your regular kid, too. He did a bunch of sports (basketball, volleyball, baseball) and was a very popular guy. Wasn't the smartest guy in the classroom, but he got his grades.
When I was born, he was slowly becoming a minority owner of Petro-Can (if anyone knows what that is, they'll come to understand that owning a Petro-Can store in 1999 (3 years after my birth) was pretty hard to do. Unfortunately, a gas leak in the car wash station caused him to inherit around 50k in debts, and the station had to be shut down. Since then, he's worked as a manager of a liquidation store and more recently as a pretty high paid assistant manager at Shopper's. You can clearly tell that my dad is just a common man.
He encouraged me to pursue my desires, which is to go as far as possible in my basketball career. Right now, I'm on a scholarship to play ball for a junior college right at the Saskatchewan-Alberta border. If I didn't have the confidence from my father, I would probably be stuck in a dead-end job right now salvaging to pay rent somewhere. Instead, I'm continuing to live my dream.
Happy Father's day, Dad. I know he isn't on here, so this is basically meaningless, but it still feels better to talk about my dad somewhere. |
