| Or not permitted to work at certain jobs because of it? Even if it's an isolated incident and he isn't a repeat offender. To take it one step further, what discipline do you feel should be imposed on women for DV cases and how/why do you feel it should be different from the discipline, or lack thereof depending on your perspective, imposed on women? |

| It should be the same for man and woman. As for if they should be fired or not meh, I'm not sure, depends on what the rule is for when someone if they get involved with an assault incident. To me it's not anymore a company's business that their employee hit their spouse over their employee hitting a random person. |

| I think it depends on the severity of the assault, how the person has handled the situation after it happened (have they cleared all their legal hurdles, are they seeking anger management/any other help that they need and staying in those programs?), and if there is a pattern or lengthy history of this.
If all of those answers are positive, I think a person should be allowed to work most jobs. Though I do respect the right companies have to protect their images and reputations, I think that more harm could come from someone not having means to support themselves and their family than any good of terminating their employment. |
